(Grá, meaning love, that's what she looks like above, but her fur is a bit longer so that Francine can grab and hold onto it. Francine is called Frankie, Ashley or just Ash for nicknames.)
Francine.
I wake up in a short amount of time, feeling a weight on my stomach. I move my hand to it to feel soft, short fur. Grá. I listen closely, hearing breathing, soft and slow. Whoever it was, was sleeping. I smell the air, smelling men's cologne and... Vanilla? I don't remember it being Danny's or Ben's, so I must be in their roommate's room.
"Grá, lead." I whisper quietly. She helps me up, and to the door which was slightly open so we walk out without disturbing anyone who may be sleeping. We walk down what I think is the hallway, and into what I hope is the living room, hearing Bonnie, Ben, Danny and a somewhat familiar female voice.
"A-Ash?" The voice stutters before I recognize it.
"Riles? Is that you?" I whisper quietly. I think she nods before running and hugging me close. She felt skinnier than I remember... "You feel different..."
"Well yeah... I lost a couple pounds." Riley says embarrassedly. "Can't you tell?"
"Riley..." Ben says softly.
"She can't see anymore." Danny says sadly, finishing for Ben.
"Ash? Is that true?" Riley asks, looking back to me. I nod softly before burrowing my head in her neck like I use to. Strawberries and frosting.
"Ben! Danny!" I hear the man who opened the door yell. "She's gone!"
"She's out here, Tucker!" Bonnie yells. "Come here, France."
"Grá, lead..." I say, holding her fur with one hand and Riley's with my other. Someone helps me sit on the couch before I feel someone place Emma on my lap again. I hold her and tickle her as the others talk around me.
"Where is she gonna stay?" Bonnie asks at one point. Emma giggles as I continue tickling her.
"She can stay with me, for the time being." Riles says happily.
"No, she can stay here. She needs to be protected." Danny argues.
"That man is still after me, Riley. I don't want to put you guys in danger. I just wanted to hear your voices again, and to show you I'm still alive..." I say softly, holding Emma in a sitting position facing foward.
"Nonsense, we will contact some friends of mine, and I'll get you some bodygaurds, and some stuff for Grá so you don't have to hold onto her fur." Bonnie says happily. "And you can stay wherever you want until we get this situated."
"Thank you BonBon." I use my nickname for her, grabbing her hand from next to me, where her voice sounded from. I lean my head on her shoulder, feeling her, hopefully still, blonde hair brush against my reddish brown hair.
"You can stay in my room. I'll stay on the couch for the time being." Tucker offers. I feel everyone look to him. "What?"
"It's just a surprise you're letting her stay, since you reluctantly let Emma stay." Riley says, obviously smiling a bit.
"I'm not gonna let her stay out on the streets after all she's been through. Plus that guy probably won't find her here." He says, shrugging by the sound of it.
"Ummm... Danny?" I ask out, thinking he was the best to ask right now.
"Yeah, Ash?" He asks, taking my hand from in front of me where it seems like he sat on the floor.
"Can you get me some water?" I ask him.
"Yeah, sure." He says with a smile before releasing my hand and getting up. I feel hands on my shoulders from behind me before feeling someone kiss the top of my head, there scruff brushing against my hair. I could smell Ben's men cologne and his blueberry scent. "Here you go."
"Thank you, Danny." I take the glass and carefully drink some before holding it in my, now free, lap. Riley had taken Emma to bed before Danny left to get my water, and then she sat beside me again. "I'm sorry if I'm causing any trouble..."
Grá huffs air out before laying down against my feet. Everyone seems to go silent, thinking over the past events before they all seem to talk at once.
"Your no trouble at all!" Ben said urgently.
"It's no problem." Tucker said calmly.
"You're always welcome here, Ash." Danny says, with a big smile by the sound of it.
"We love you, France." Bonnie encourages, squeezing my hand.
"We really missed you, Ash." Riley takes my glass and hugs me, before everyone, except Tucker, joins for a group hug.
Next day.
I sit at the table with Tucker beside me, he feeds Emma while I eat my own food. It sounds like Ben is in the living room getting his things ready, rushing since he's late to work.
"Oh! Mom says that Jack would be here soon to see you!" Ben exclaims, stopping with his hurried movements. "He works as a bodyguard, and Mom thought it'd be best that you knew at least one of your bodyguards so you could completely trust them."
"Thank you, Ben." I smile, pushing my empty bowl away. Jack was my best friend before I was kidnapped. He and I trusted each other completely, and we acted like the same person when we were kids. I hear Ben leave after a bit, and then 10 minutes later there's a knock on the door. "Tucker?"
"I'll get it. Here." He takes my bowl and places it in the sink. "One sec!" He calls, picking up Emma before guiding me to sit on the couch. "Hello, are you Jack?" He asks after answering the door.
"Yeah. I'm Jack Addams." I hear a older version of my friends voice. "Hey Ashley." Jack greets, sitting by me and giving me a side hug.
"It's good to hear your voice, Jack." I feel his left palm, feeling the cut from the rock when we went hiking. "I missed you."
"Don't cry, Ashley." He says softly, hugging me closer.
"I'm sorry, I'm just so relieved..." I whimper against his chest.
"You're relieved? I'm relieved. I thought you were dead by that bast–" Jack growls before I clamp my hand over his mouth.
"Emma's still in the room." I tell him, hearing her gurgling cutely in Tucker's arms, who went into the kitchen.
"Sorry." Jack appologises. "I missed you." He kisses my head.
"So, you're a bodyguard now?" I ask him, leaning away.
"Yup. I normally don't have any jobs, but that's good since I'll be your bodyguard." He says softly. "I won't let him take you again."
"Thank you." I curl into his side like I use to. When we were younger, he was always so skinny and tall, but now I can feel he is well toned, so I trust he can protect both of us, and our friends.
