Two Years Later

Two years had passed by and things have changed significantly.

Sanyukta was getting ready for her date with Randhir. Yes.. they had been dating for past one year. He had proposed her and nothing in the world could have stopped her from accepting his proposal. She couldn't believe that a year has passed it felt like yesterday when he had proposed her and it was the best day ever.

A Year Ago

Sanyukta was sleeping peacefully in her bed when she heard few noises coming from down the hall. It felt like someone was barking. Rather a dog barking. It was weird because Vidushi and her didn't own a dog. Though she didn't mind having one.

Getting out of the bed she went towards the hall where she saw a basket lying with a cloth on it. She looked around for Vidushi but finding her nowhere she went to the basket and opened it only to find the best and the cutest thing ever a dog with a rose in his mouth.

Before she could pick up the little bundle of cuteness it jumped out of the baket and ran behind her where Randhir was already present on his knees. He picked up the dog and made it face her and asked the only thing that she had wanted to hear from his mouth since few months

"Will you be my Girlfriend??"

She didn't need to be asked twice. She just nodded with a pinch of tears in her eyes and had jumped on Randhir and the dog with a smile on her face.

Present

After that day they have been going strong. Sure they did have there own share of fights and arguments but that didn't deter them or changed them because at the end of the day they would find themselves in each other's arms.

Now here she was giving final touches to her look while waiting for him to pick her up for the day as Rico moved around her wagging his tail.

Soon Randhir came and they both left the house saying there goodbyes to Vidushi and Rico.

Sanyukta : Where are we going?

Randhir : I am not telling you so give up asking and enjoy the ride.

Sanyukta shook her head and with a smile adorning her face she turned her face to look out of the window as they passed by various streets and the music from the radio filling the void of silence.

Soon Randhir parked his car outside a restaurant.

Sanyukta : This is...

Randhir : Yes... this is the same restaurant in which we had our first date... the blind date.

Sanyukta : Damn... in these two years i didn't once come here again after that date.

Randhir : I know... that is why i thought it would be good to come back where everything started.

Sanyukta (smiles) : It is.

They walked out of the car and moved towards the restaurant. Sanyukta looked around the restaurant confusingly as there was no one present there.

Sanyukta : Uhh... Randhir I think the restaurant is closed. See no one is there here and it's so dark in here.

Randhir : It's not closed. The whole restaurant is booked for us and we are going to have a candle light dinner.

Sanyukta : You booked the whole freaking restaurant for us!?

Randhir : Yes... cause it's a special night.

Sanyukta : What's so special!?

Randhir : I will tell you later on... now come on let's have dinner.

Soon they were guided towards a table beautifully decorated for them and all of there favourite delicacies were served. They had the dinner with small talk and teasings from both sides.

Sanyukta : So now that the dinner is over what is so special today??

Randhir : You really wanna know?

Sanyukta : Obviously!!

Randhir : Okay... for that you have to come with me!!

Sanyukta : Where!???

Randhir : Don't ask just come.

Sanyukta : Uh... okay... you and your secrecy!!

Randhir chuckled and pull her towards the car. Soon they were driving to the beach. He pulled his car by the beach and took Sanyukta to the shore.

Sanyukta : Wow... it's beautiful out here. But why did you bring me by the beach at this time?? And what is special here!! And now you better tell me cause i won't be going to go anywhere elsebefore you tell me what is it!!

Randhir : Okay! Look!

As on cue fireworks started over the sea. Sanyukta was enchanted as they happened and turned to tell Randhir how beautiful they were only to find him on his knees.

Sanyukta (gasped) : Randhir...

Randhir : It's been two years since i met you again, a year since when we have been dating and years since when i have had feelings for you and as time has passed they have only increased. In you, my life becomes whole, with you my days become bright. I love the feeling and the butterflies I get when I see you smiling. I would love to smile for the rest of my life too. Will you be my that reason so that I can smile for the rest of my life? Will you marry me!!??

Sanyukta had tears and all she could do was do was drop down to her knees and hug him tight.

Randhir : So is it a yes???

Sanyukta pulling back from the hug said " Yes! Yes! Yes! A thousand times Yes and forever and always Yes!!"

Randhir smiled and pulled her for a kiss. As soon as there lips met time stopped for them. They kissed passionately under the open sky, lost in a bubble of time and space. Randhir smiled during the kiss and pulled apart slightly and joining there foreheads and looking at her with pure adoration as she was gasping for air witha smile and blush playing on her face like everytime they would kiss.

Randhir : I am glad... i am glad that i went to that blind date because that is how i got you back.

Sanyukta : I am glad too because after all it started with A Blind Date.

They both chuckled and walked hand in hand by the sea shore enjoying the wind and each other's presence.
