The gem shines in the sun before a female voice sounded from behind him

???: Have I steered you wrong before my love?

She asked causing the male to lower his sleeve before turning around to see a female duel spirit floating there in a purple dress, with long purple hair with gold strands in it, to complete the look she had a tiny purple gem in the middle of her forehead

???: You have actually steered me wrong several times, Queen Atea

The male said to the the duel spirit who is now known as Atea causing her to pout cutely before signing

Atea: Do you trust me my knight?

Atea asked as the male nods his head

The male said causing Atea to smile

A female voice said as a figure then comes out from behind one of the gates of the field riding a pink Hippo as the rider revealed to be a girl with two colors in her hair green and red with a white jacket over her shoulders wearing an orange under shirt and green shorts

Yuya: ladies, gentlemen and Gong, how about I kick off this round's entertainment with some carnival craving hippos!

Yuya said excitedly as she plays her face down card which revealed to be a spell card that has a picture of three or more hippos on it that summons three more hippos on her side of the field. Confusing and pissing Gong off slightly as he watches them dance

Gong: hey! what's with all that shaking? we're not dancing we're dueling!

Gong said in annoyance while in the observing room has a girl with pink hair with blue eyes sitting at a computer with a bracelet around her wrist. She is known as Zuzu Boyle

Zuzu: quit goofing around, Yuya!

Zuzu yelled as she then slams her hands down on the console making static electricity form. Zuzu noticed and start to freak out then the monitor explodes in her face cartoonish like. Due to the loud noise a male in a red and orange jumpsuit came rushing in. He is Zuzu's father Skip Boyle

Skip: What's going on, Yuzu?

Skip asked in a panic state as Zuzu looks at him sheepishly with a sweat drop

Zuzu: Oh, I just had a wee mishap...

Zuzu lied to her father as the controls sparks behind her causing her father to panic more

Skip: I told you to treat this equipment with TLC! Our duel school depends on this ARC system!

Skip said as the controls were fried. During the duel with Yuya and Gong the ARC system then shorts out causing the hard hollow image of the field and monsters to disappear and make Yuya fall to the ground, her face first.

Yuya: Ouch

Yuya said in pain due to the fall as Zuzu comes on the speakers

Zuzu: Yuya... what do you have to say for yourself?

Zuzu asked the girl (even though it was your fault Zuzu). Her reply was to make a face at her

Zuzu said. They soon were all in the break room like area with Skip panicking about the ARC system for the school.

Skip: Our duel school is going in the tubes!

Skip said in dismay as he sits in a chair

Skip: We can't teach Action Dueling without our ARC system! Soon all our You Show students will turn into no-shows! At times like this, I wish I were principal of a cooking school.

Skip said panicking as Yuya puts her goggles on and her arms behind her head

Yuya: Aw..I was just getting to my most duel-taining moves when the system went down.

Yuya said in disappointment as Zuzu looks at her friend in annoyance

Zuzu: It was your duel-taining that distracted me (another lie). You should take life more seriously!

Zuzu said as she tries to chop Yuya as the said girl leaped out of her seat and collides with Gong's stomach.

Yuya: Is that you Gong? or did somebody just put a boulder in here?

Yuya said dizzy from crashing into him. Gong however was unfazed

Gong: Why do you have to turn everything into a joke, Yuya?

Gong asked his friend who removes her goggles revealing the marks she has from them due to the crash

Yuya: Well, there's nothing wrong with giving the fans a good laugh.

Yuya said with a smile as Gong didn't look happy

Gong: When fans watch your duels, they're not laughing with you, they're all laughing at you! When your daddy was on the field he had all the fans smiling. He made duel-taining entertaining. Your duels are usually just embarrassing!

Yuya: Not the Sledgehammer!

Yuya said in disbelief as Nico nods

Nico: the Sledgehammer is hosting a fan appreciation day at the Leo Institute and as part of the festivities he's issuing a one-on-one dueling challenge to Yuya

Nico said to Yuya's surprise

Yuya: You're inviting me to duel the Sledgehammer?

Yuya asked as Nico decided to be a wiseass

Nico: I'm not inviting you to duel his grandma!Seriously though, it's your chance to make up for your father's disappearing act. You remember what happened don't you?

Nico asked as Yuya had flashbacks to when she was a little girl

Nico said (dude seriously read the room). We now find Yuya at the Bridge who was looking at her Pendulum dejectedly.

???: What is troubling you young queen?

A male voice asked causing Yuya to look up and there on the bars was the male in black coat from before. Yuya knows she should be scared and run or question him. But for some reason she completely felt at ease in his presence. She felt like she could tell him everything. She even blushed a bit when he called her a queen. She sighs as she begins explaining her situation. The male simply looks at her

???:At least you should be happy that you get your wish

The male said as Yuya looks at him

Yuya: I know I should, but what if I mess it all up?

Yuya asked as the male jumps down next to her

???: You won't. And besides even if you do your father would love you no matter what. If it really bothers you I could duel in your place

He said causing Yuya to giggle

Yuya: As much as I appreciate this sweet gesture I'm afraid this a fight I'll have to do

Yuya said as the male nods as he pulls out a card before holding it out to Yuya. Yuya grabs it with confusion on her face due to the fact that it was blank

Yuya: What's this?

Yuya asked as the male smiles under his hood

???: A way to summon me should you ever need me now I must take my leave

The male said causing Yuya's eyes to widen

Yuya: Leave? Wait! I don't want you to go

Yuya said as she looks up only to see that he disappeared without a trace

Yuya: I never even gotten his name

Yuya said sadly as she looks at the card he gave her. Now we cut to the stadium where people were cheering for the upcoming event as Nico was giving his speech about it while Zuzu, Skip and Gong made it to the stadium in the bleachers area. Pictures of Yuya can be seen along that of the Sledgehammer

Zuzu: Do you think Yuya will show up?

Zuzu asked Gong with worry in her voice

Gong: Who knows? But Gong's gut says she will.

Gong said as he tried to ease his friend's mind

Skip: Alright! Then we'll get our new ARC- never mind!

Skip said till he was hit by his daughter. Nico appears with a card in hand

Nico: Now let's get this grudge match underway! Time to activate the field... Castle Of Chaos!

Nico said holding the the card in the sky as it glows

Computer: Augmented Reality Combat system energized. Generating action field.

The computer said as the whole field other than the stands produced a solid reality hologram of the card Nico mention making trees, large body of water and finally a castle in the middle of the field. Then the Sledgehammer whose a bulky looking man with purple hair stands waiting for his opponent. Up above the stadium the male had a great seat to watch it all.

Nico: Here his is folks! the Sledgehammer!

Nick said as the Sledgehammer then let's out a roar making the crowd shout in cheers.

Nico: His challenger is a girl on a mission! Everybody give it up for Yuya Sakaki!

Nico said as Skip was happy

Skip: Go Yuya!

Skip cheered however that turned into something of confusion since Yuya was no where to be seen confusing some of the people in the stadium as well

Nico: Kid that's your cue.

Nico said but Yuya still didn't show up

Some random loser 1: The little girl isn't even gonna show up

Some random loser 2: Yea, she must be a scaredy cat just like her old man

Some random loser 3: I guess the apple doesn't fall to far from the bush

The losers said pissing Zuzu off

Zuzu asked pissed as hell before gong stops her

Sledgehammer said as a clown girl to show up behind him. The male saw and smiles

He said as another duel spirit appeared except this one had brown Kuriboh hair, red dress, and black boots. But she was pouting

Jane said causing the male to chuckle. Down in stands people were mumbling about the clown girl

The two women talked as a little girl with blue hair figured it out it was Yuya along with Zuzu.

Zuzu: Please tell me that isn't who I think it is.

Zuzu begged as Gong had his arms crossed looking unfazed and Skip had a shocked look on his face. The people in the stands tried to get the Sledgehammer's attention to tell him about the cling girl behind him

Sledgehammer:What's wrong?

Sledgehammer asked and finally turns around to see the clown girl making fun of him

Sledgehammer: Wait, when did the circus come to town?

Sledgehammer asked in confusion as Clown girl jumps back a few feet

Yuya: it didn't I'm your opponent

Yuya said with a bow

Sledgehammer: Do not tell me you are the daughter of Yosho

Sledgehammer said in confusion while pointing at her

Yuya: Yep, the one and only

Yuya said proudly getting rid of her hat and makeup and bowing

Yuya: Well you ready to get this show on the road or should I say on the castle?

Yuya asked as she activated her duel disk

Nico: it looks like sparks are flying and they haven't even started dueling yet. Ok duelist get your five cards in hand and get set to battle

Nico said as Yuya and the Sledgehammer drew their cards

Yuya said summoning a pink hippo as she then proceeded to hop on and began ridding

Gong: Why doesn't Yuya stand and fight?! She can't keep avoiding—

Gong started to say in anger till a woman cuts him off surprising him

A woman with long golden blonde hair in a teal shirt and blue jeans said causing all three to look and make a path for her

Yoko: Yuya's running is actually pretty cunning Gong.

Yoko said to Gong as she watched her daughter. The male smiles at that

The male said as he turns his attention back to Yuya's duel

Sledgehammer: I will force her to battle me now. Battleguard King loves nothing more than a fight, so he can attack twice in one turn. Eliminate that hippo!

Sledgehammer commands tired of Yuya's running. Battleguard King raises his club in the air with a roar preparing another strike causing Yuya to gasp

Yuya: Oh no, not again

Yuya said as the monster brought its club down kicking up dust in the process

Nico: Whoa, that should wipe the smile off that hippo's face, Battleguard King took it out with a single blow. Wait they're ok!

Nico said till he saw both Yuya and monster come out of the smoke unscathed

Sledgehammer: She survived?

Sledgehammer asked in shock

Yuya: Yeah, but barely. Just before Battleguard King landed his blow, I activated the Action Spell- Miracle, it saved my hippo's hid and half the damage I took

Yuya said as the crowd watched in wonder

Some random loser 2: I can't believe my eyes

Some random loser 1: I gotta get my hands on one of those hippos

The random losers said causing the male to scoff

???: Just cause you decided to cheer for her now doesn't mean you won't suffer

The male said in anger as a soft female voice spoke up

???: I wish you didn't always have to resort to using that card

She said as the look behind him to see a duel spirit that look like Atea well a more modern version of her anyway. Which in turn caused the male to sigh

???: I know you don't Yuli, but if it's going to keep reappearing in my deck no matter how many times I rid myself of it I'm gonna use it

The male said as Yuli but her lips, but said nothing as they both went back to watching

Sledgehammer: Whatever, Battleguard King will stomp both of you out next time

Sledgehammer said setting a card and ending his turn

Zuzu: I guess Yuya's not doing bad, but I don't see what she's up to

Zuzu said in confusion to Yoko

Yoko: I think I do. For a long time, Yuya's been treating everything like a joke, clowning around was her way of protecting herself. You see Yuya felt people would look down on her because of her father, she idolize her dad. To Yuya, he wasn't just a great duelist but a hero. Now Yuya has a chance to be like her father, and prove he was a hero

Yoko said to Zuzu as she watched her daughter get on with her move

Yuya said ditching her clown girl outfit revealing her regular attire underneath and summoning her dragon which she lands safely on. The dragon roars upon its arrival. The male then pulls out his Odd-Eyes Dragon that was glowing in response to it. In the stands the blue hair girl laughs at the sight

Yuya said to Sledgehammer mad that he trash talked her father like that

Sledgehammer asked the girl on said holoscreen

Yuya: He would've beaten you easy. And I'll prove it, too. By taking you down using all the moves my dad taught me

Yuya said to the Sledgehammer on her duel disk

Sledgehammer said causing Yuya to giggle as she held up a card

Yuya: But after I use this spell here that'll be a different story. Wonder Balloons

Yuya said activating said Spell before going around and sending three action cards to her graveyard

Yuya: Wonder Balloons go! I got a balloon for each action card that I found and sent to my graveyard. Now next I'll be sending my spell card Wonder Ballons to the graveyard. Which will cause those other balloons to burst and each one drops your monster Atk points by a thousand till the end of this turn

Yuya said snapping her fingers causing balloons to cover everything but the head on Battleguard King causing the crowd to cheer

Sledgehammer: Now I see you have been playing games with me from the beginning. You just pretended to run away to find as many action cards as your feeble fragile fingers can pick

Sledgehammer said as Yuya held up her pendulum pendant on her necklace

Yuya: It was risky, but I knew the duel would swing my way

Yuya said smiling

Random loser 2: She's amazing

Random loser 1: The kid's hammering the Hammer

The losers said causing the crowd to cheer as the figure smiles

Yuya: Okay Odd-Eyes it's not enough for us to win this we got to win this with style. Hey Sledgehammer when Odd-Eyes dethrones your king you take half of its attack points as damage

Yuya said as her dragon roars and the orbs on its chest glows to show that it was charging its attack

Sledgehammer: Eh? Half of Battleguard King's original Atk points equals 1500. If I lose another 2500 in damage the total will be catastrophic

The Sledgehammer said as his eyes widen in fear as Yuya narrows her eyes

Yuya: I can this duel in one blast. Odd-Eyes get set to strike. Take out Battleguard King. Spiral Flame

Yuya commands as her dragon launches a red beak from its mouth that had a spiral going around it towards the monster trapped in Ballons causing a red dome of an explosion to happen

Skip: Yea bullseye!

Skip said excitedly

Gong/Zuzu: Yuya!

Gong and Zuzu cheered along with the crowd. The smoke clears reviling Battleguard King still there which lets out a roar

Sledgehammer: Too little Too late! Surprise clown girl

Sledgehammer said as his monster roars again

Zuzu: I can't believe it

Zuzu said in disbelief as everyone saw the Sledgehammer had activated a Action Card of his own

Sledgehammer: You're not that only one who has the Miracle spell card. I was keeping this baby handy just in case. You pose no threat to me girl just like your father. You're all show and no grit. This trap is going to prove it. Since I took damage, Battleguard Rage inflates its Atk points by 2000

Sledgehammer said as he jumps down and his monster was surrounded by a red aura

Yuya: I...end my turn

Yuya said frustrated as Battleguard King burst free from the Ballons as its Atk went up to 5000

Zuzu: Yuya and her Odd-Eyes better do something quick or she's gonna be the odd woman out

Zuzu said with concern as she watches

Sledgehammer: Now I have the upper hand my little friend. And I'm going to use it to crush you.

Sledgehammer said as Yuya growls before urging her dragon to go and find another Action Card before it was too late

Sledgehammer: No you won't escape. Battleguard King destroy her Odd-Eyes

Sledgehammer commands as the behemoth roars before raising its club again before destroying Yuya's dragon causing her to get sent to the ground as her LPs dropped to 400

Sledgehammer: Because of Battleguard's Rages effect your dragon goes back to your hand instead of the graveyard

Sledgehammer said in the hand of his monster as Yuya glares at him as he activates a spell

Sledgehammer: Watch how a winner duels when I activate Battleguard Magic. It'll pump me back up with LPs as it deflates any changes you had of winning this duel

Sledgehammer said glowing gold as his LPs went back to 4000

Zuzu: Coukd this get any worse?

Zuzu asked as the male heard and shook his head

???:Why must they always say that? It always Jynx's it

He thought as he watched

Sledgehammer: Luckily for you my Battleguard King can not attack again this turn. You survive for now, but I promise you this you won't last long. It is useless, but go ahead and draw. Maybe you should pull a disappearing act kid. After all like father like daughter

Sledgehammer said with a grin as he sets a card

Yuya: No thanks I'm staying

Yuya started to say till she stops and looks at the cards in her hand

Yuya: Who am I kidding it's hopeless. I don't have the cards pr the skills to pull this out. Maybe I should pull a vanishing act. After all I'm not the dueltanner my dad was and I never will be.

Yuya thought to herself as she suddenly looks up and saw the male from before in front of her

???: What Is wrong young queen?

The male asked as he kneels down to her level

Yuya: I can't beat him he's too strong

The male chuckles as he pulls out his own Odd-Eyes Dragon shocking the girl

???: Really now? That's not what my dragons say. Besides think back to what your father said

He said as Yuya closes her eyes and opens them again only find out that the conversation happened in her mind as she stands up

Yuya: It's time to swing into action. Ok Pendulum you swung his way now you'll swing my way

Yuya said drawing her card as her pendulum card glows bright changing some of the cards in her hand into Pendulum cards. The male look down as his Odd-Eyes glowed as well, but instead of changing into Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon it changed into Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon

The male said as some cards in his extra deck changed as well as well as some cards being added to his deck

Yuya: I'll use Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician to set the Pendulum scale. I'm taking control of this duel starting now
