A pappy adventure
After Blue drew away the humans, I ran to the bushes.
*pant pant* "I think I lost them. I hope Blue is alright."
I walked by the bushes, trying to think of what to do.
The others are surely fine. I mean, I'm alright, and I'm sure that Blue can get away. It's mainly Egdy that I need to worry about.
It wasn't entirely his fault, Jana just spooked him.
If the old owners didn't treat him so bad, then he would not bite so much.
(Flashback- I am not going against my self goal to keep the bad words out- even if I just replace them
And yes, I wrote the dialogue correctly, Autocorrect is giving me hard time about it.)
We were all given our piece of stale bread for the day. Splitting the amount evenly, we ate the small portions. Then I heard yelling.
"If those Dang, stinking little creatures would just stay where their supposed to, then we wouldn't have to deal with this Frickin' Shiz."
"But they only stay when we are around. Take this guy here for example."
I happened to be the closest to the door, facing away from it.
The smaller one grabbed me, and set me on a nearby crate. I don't know what's in them, of course, but they're heavy. I stood there, and watched.
"See? It's stayin, and it's not even looking for escape."
"Well Shiz, ya Bench. It's 'cause if it does any thin' we don't wanit to do, we can git him. If we walk off, then it'll probably run."
"Watch the language, we don't want the customers to think that we give the product a few bad habits."
"fricking-grishin-(it's hard to type the gibberish when someone is so mad. And slamming my head on the pad won't help- I tried.) grrrr, rawr.
Fine, we'll take a different one, and see what'll happin."
I stood still as I watch the swearing one grab Egdy. He locked the cage door when he finished. He places the small skeleton next to me, and both of them walked off. I turned to my friend. He looked worried, and kept looking for a way back to our group.
I nodded to his concern, and spotted Boss trying to plot a path for us. Seeing it, I took the lead back. At this point I didn't know if the humans wanted this or not, but oh well! The path itself was simple; cross a board and walk across the crates till we got there. Only one problem- the board was a thin piece of slippery metal.
Sterling my nerves for the challenge, I began. It was easy, till halfway through I slipped. The drop was far enough down for a Bitty to dust on impact. I braced for the end.
Then I felt something grab my soul. It was Egdy, and his collar was NOT happy about it. He screamed for the entire time it took for him to get me back on the other side by the cage. He looked exhausted, and in pain, but I could tell that he was happy that I was alive.
"I knew it! I knew that they would try to get away once we left 'em! And the one even tried to do some magic."
Before the other could stop the human, he grabbed Edgy, almost crushed him with his hand, and threw him across the room. I lost sight of him quickly.
Panicking, I tried to tell the calmer one what had happened, but it was no more than a game of charades to him. Tears were beginning to build as the second put me back in the cage.
"WHO ALMOST HIT ME?!?!"
Our favorite human had just came by, carrying a curled up Edgy in his hand.
"M sorry Jeff. I didn't ta mean to. I jus-"
"Shut. Your. Trap.
I don't care what happened, as long as there was a reason for trying to kill an important product. Do you know how many Skeleton Bitties are in the world? Do you?"
The third, calm one began to walk away, leaving the conversation.
"Eh, well, uh. No?"
"Then stop trying to kill ours!"
"It won't happen again Boss."
"I'll make sure of that."
Jeff slid Egdy back into our cage. He had several cracks along his frame, but the biggest one was on his skull. We did what we could to comfort him, with me forgetting about the humans.
The last thing I heard from them was a crashing of crates, but I never left Egdy's side for the rest of the night.
(End of flashback)
A rustling from the bushes next to me made me leave the memory.
"F-food? Please?"
I turned around to look at the newcomer. He looked just like Sans, except he had a weird glitch thing on his right eye and a large bloody cut across his chest. His clothes were white, making the red scarf around his neck more vibrant.
"Hi! I am the Great Papyrus, and I'll happily get you some food. Nye, if my human brought any. Which I'm sure she did! Follow me, eh, what's your name?"
"I-I'm Geno."
"Well, Geno. I'm sure Jana would happily give you some food.
I wonder what she brought.
I am curious Geno. What are you doing out here without an owner?"
"Uh, my, my owner? He, uh, he killed himself while trying to eat a gun. He kept his hand on the trigger."
"Oh that's terrible! Why would he ever do such a thing? There are far more delicious things to eat as well, like pancakes and toast!
I'm sure that we can give you a home while we help you sort this whole mess out."
"But it's already sorted out. This happened 7 months ago. I've been living off of what I could find in the park and the small garden."
"Oh, I see, well welcome to the family then Geno! You'll have to meet everyone though!"
I grabbed Geno's arm, and began to find my way back to the building.
As I passed some bushes, I saw a teen running with a small bag. He had dark hair, which was riddled with trash, and soon he was out of sight. Oh well.
I passed a corner and saw the building, the cart the same way as it was earlier. A little farther off, I saw Jana.
Eagerly, I waved to her, and saw her carrying Ink. She, in turn, spotted me, and began running towards me and Geno. My new friend began to fight my grip as Jana became closer.
"Geno, it's ok. This is Jana, my human, and I promise she won't hurt you."
"Your sure about this? 100% sure? Because I've had too many promises broken lately."
"Nyeh nyeh nyeh, Why of course."
"Papyrus! I was so worried about you! So far your the third Bitty I've found so far."
Jana quickly kneeled down and hugged me with her hand.
"And I see you've found a new friend. I'm Jana, and what's your name?"
"Geno. And is it true about what Papyrus said? That you'll let me stay?"
"Of course! Just a sec while I get the two already here.
Sans! Blue! Come meet the newest member!
Sans?
Blue?
Shiz. They were right here.
I am truly sorry Geno, but I need to find the others. I did stay for a while and made some hotdogs. They're just on the counter. Help yourselves!"
Jana got up, and got the three of us up to the top of the table. After that she turned on her heel, trying hard not to yell, and ran at full speed. I did hear her say before she sprinted off,"If I find that no good piece of crap, I'll have his head mounted on my battle axe!"
Ink: Well, Geno, I'm Ink, and your in for a weird cycle that we still have yet to find a trace of a pattern to.
