I brushed my lips with my finger for the hundredth time today. My first kiss was with Reuben. I don't know why I'm extremely happy. From what I know, I should be mad at him, hate him or even curse him. But his lips on mine felt so right, felt so magical.
What does the kiss meant to him? Is he too going crazy like me? Or am I the only one with the butterflies in my belly.

Why did he kiss me?
Does he love me?

I sat on my desk thinking all these things. Wondering and dreaming about imposibilities. Just then I heard the door knock.

"Come in." I said.

Anna walks with a package.

"Here, this is for you." She said handing over me the package.

"What is it?" I said taking it.

"Open it. It's for you, I made it." She said.

I opened the package and found a box of colourful delicious chocolates. Oh! How I missed them.

"Aww Anna. They look really nice. You made these for me?" I said.

"Yes, especially for you." She said smiling. "Thank you." She added.

"Are you going crazy? I should be the one thanking you." I said.

"No, I'm thanking you for taking care of me on the trip." Anna said taking my hand.

"You're welcome." I said giving her a gentle smile.

"Taste it and tell me how is it." Anna said excitedly.

I opened the box and took out the nicest looking piece and put it inside my mouth. The chocolate melted as I slowly took my bite. Wow! This feels like heaven.

I gulp it down and looked up to see Anna giving me an unsure look.

"This is - this is really good." I said giving her my biggest smile.

"Oh! Thank you." Anna squealed in happiness.

"Now I think I should get back to work. I don't want the boss to yell at me." Anna said, gave me a quick hug and left.

I sat back and took another piece of chocolate and ate it. They taste really good.

As I was enjoying the chocolate, my phone rang. Ella.

"Hello." I said.

"Is everything fine with you?" She asked surprising me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why so suddenly?" I replied.

"No, there's nothing wrong. I just got a feeling you needed some kind of help. Are you sure you're ok?" She said.

"Are you free now?" I asked.

"Yeah. I mean I'm going out for my lunch now." She said.

"Great. Let's meet up." I said.

"Ok where?" Ella asked.

"Umm our Venus Cafe?" I said.

"I'll be there." She said and hung up.

I put down my phone, grabbed my bag and headed out. On my way out I motioned Anna that I'll be out for a while. She gave me a thumbs up.

I was there in 10 minutes and found Ella waiting for me. I walked towards her.

"Hi." I said and gave her a tight hug.

"Hey." She said.

"I already ordered for us." She said.

"Great." I said as I took a sit beside her.

"Tell me now." She said.

"Tell you what." I replied.

"I know something's bothering you. So don't stay quiet just spill it out." She said.

"Fine. I'll tell you." I said feeling defeated.

"Actually the thing is I ki- I mean we kissed." I said hesitantly.

"Excuse me 'We' here means?" She asked.

"Me and Reuben." I said.

"What?" Ella said in shock.

"You heard it right." I said.

"Wow! So are you two dating?" She asked.

"There lies the problem." I said.

"What's wrong Kaesy?" Ella asked.

"We just kissed. I don't even know whether he likes me or not." I replied.

"Do you like him?" She asked startling me.

"What are you talking about?" I said.

"It's just simple. Do you like him?" She asked again.

The waiter came in between our conversation with our orders.

"I- I don't know." I said playing with the food.

"You do like him." She said.

I just shrugged.

"Ok go talk to him and clear this thing out." She said putting a mouthful of salad into her mouth.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes. I am." She said assuring me.

"Fine. I'll talk to him." I said.

We finished our lunch and walked down the street.

"Call me and tell me what happens." Ella said.

"Sure." I said. "Thank you so much." I added.

She smiles and gives me hug.

"Bye. Take care." She said and walks away.

I walked down the street and calls for a cab and drove back to my office.

I entered my cabin and sits on the couch. Then I remembered what Ella had said. Talk to him and clear this thing out.

I started to panic. Should I go talk to him? I stood up and started walking back and forth.

Maybe I think I should straighten things up.

I slowly opened the door and walked towards Reuben's cabin. I took a deep long breath and knocked the door.

"Come in." Reuben called from inside.

I opened the door and took a hesitant step in.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Umm actually I wan- I wanted to talk about what happened yesterday night." I said shakily.

"What happened yesterday night?" He asked.

How could he ever forget the kiss?

"The kiss." I finally let those words out.

"About that." Reuben looked up." You don't need to bother. After all it was just a kiss. It happens." He said coolly.

I opened my mouth to say something but no sound came out. Those words were a blow for me.

How could a kiss be just another thing?

"Just a kiss? It happens?" I said in disgust.

"Yeah, just a simple kiss." He said.

"Of course this things are so normal for you. You're the one who is with different woman every week and when you're done with them you throw them out like a tissue. What made me even think for a second that you're not like that, that you're more than those articles in the papers and magazines." I shot back and I realised that tears were rolling down my cheeks.

I rubbed my tears and continued.

"Just to remind you Mr. Reuben Bareth I'm not like those other women, so don't ever try to play with my feelings. Don't you dare." I said and stormed out of the room.

I entered my cabin, locked myself in and cried silently.

I guess you only cry when you are disappointed and disappointments comes only when you were expecting something.
