I woke up with a smile on my face. I just couldn't get the night out of my mind.

We went to the most expensive restaurant in the city. Ashton had really been a gentleman. He narrated his funny cute childhood stories and made me laugh. There was one incident where Ashton and Reuben got into a huge argument and didn't talk for hours.

"Reuben and I got into a huge argument one day." Ashton said sounding serious.

"Uh-why?" I asked concerned.

"Its becau- because I --- you wouldn't want to listen." He said looking down.

"Ummm it's fine. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." I replied.

"No no. I'm ok with it unless you want to listen." He said looking up again.

"I want to hear it." I said with a nod.

"We were eight years old back then. I know what I did was wrong. Reuben got really mad." Ashton said with guilt in his voice.

"What did you actually do?" I asked trying not to sound too serious.

"That morning I a- I ate his strawberry cup cake." He said and burst out laughing.

I starred at him for a second.

"Hahaha.... not funny." I said trying hard not to laugh but all in vain. I laughed out so hard that people turned their heads towards our table.

I got up and by the time I got ready Anna was still lying on the bed.

"Are you still sleeping? It's time we leave. You don't want Reuben shouting at both of us. " I said and pulled off the blanket.

She only growled in response. Her eyes were shut, she looked weak and sick.

"Oh God are you sick?" I asked.

I immediately crawled up to her bed and checked her temperature. She was burning with fever. I quickly grabbed a towel and a bowl of cold water and started cooling down her temperature.

She's in no condition to work today. I checked the time.

"Fifteen minutes and I'm screwed." I mumbled to myself.

"Kae-Kaesy." Anna finally spoke.

"Yes, I'm here." I replied.

"Le-Lets get go-going." Anna said.

"What? You're going to work in this condition?" I replied. "No, I won't let you."

"Wh-What about boss?" She mumbled.

"I'll talk to him. Don't worry. You take a break for today." I replied.

"Thank you Kaesy." Anna said.

"You're welcome. Now I should get going. Take care of yourself. Don't forget to take your medicines. Bye." I said and with that I opened the door just to fine a bunch of beautiful red roses on the doorstep.

I picked it up. There was a note on it.

Kaesy Pachelbel,
I wanted to be the brightest star the universe could hold but for some reason I wasn't and the moment I laid my eyes on you I knew why!

Those words made my heart leap.

I checked the note to see who was the sender but there was no sign of it. Is this from Ashton?

I left the roses on the table and left.

I waited for the rest at the entrance of the hotel. After a minute I saw Reuben walking towards me. I had to talk to him about Anna.

"Good morning sir." I said.

He only nodded in response.

"Th-There is something I need to tell you." I said.

He turned to look at me.

"Ahh Anna she is - she won't be joining us today. She is not feeling well." I said hesitantly.

He sigh out of irritation and anger.

"Why do people come up with excuses when there is something important?" He roared in anger, clenching his fist.

"This is not an excuse. She is seriously ill." I replied firmly.

He turned and looked at me at my sudden braveness.

"Ok. If you say so but who is going to manage her part of the job?" He said smirking at me.

"I'll do it." I said confidently.

"Good." He replied and headed towards the car.

The rest of the day had been really hectic as I had to manage Anna's part of the job too. Why the heck am I too quick in speaking out?

The meeting finally got over. I made my way out of the meeting room and spotted Ashton in a corner. I had to thank him for the roses. As I took my steps towards him a group of people suddenly surrounded him. It was followed with smiles and hand shakes.

Maybe my "thank you" would have to wait!

But I'm really dissapointed with you guys. This chapter was suppose to be the readers choice which means the chapter will go according to the readers will. But unfortunately there was none of you and I had to wait for a month to receive your replies.
