" Don't do it, please...take my hand." A girl in her white shirt and jeans which has turned red by now was screaming at someone to not let go.
The sound of her sobbing was mixed with the sound of thunder. Tears were rolling down her face freely. She was injured, but right now the only thing she wanted to do was save that man.

"Plea....se, don't.... Let go."

The man smile at her sadly. His face can't be seen cause it was full of blood.
"No....t...yo...ur....faul....t." The man tried to say but he cough up more blood.
The rain has now turned into a storm. Her tears increased just like it.

"Plea....se. Take...my...hand. I'll .....save.. You. Plea...se.....

"YOU SAID IT WAS A MINOR INJURY, THAN WHY ISN'T SHE WAKING UP?..."
His screaming filled the hospital corridor.

"Mr. Bently ,please be quite. It's a hospital."

"QUITE! " He laughed humorlessly.
"That woman who's lying on that bed is my everything and you're asking me to be quite?"

The doctor seem to understand his pain. He place a hand on his shoulder in sympathy.
"Nothing will happen to her Mr. Bently."

At this that man finally broke down and fall on his knees.
"Please save.... Her. I don't have anyo...one else. She's my...everything. Please...doctor.I'll give you whatever you want.... Just... save .....her."
His heartwrenching crying was touching the doctor too.

The mood seems to match the weather perfectly. Everyone was wearing black dress. Someone was saying something on the mike. It was raining again , but slowly this time.
"That person helped so many people. Today we've lost a really good man."
The speaker was still talking.

The girl peek from behind the wall again. Nobody ssems to notice that just a few feet behind a girl was sitting behind a wall while glancing at the coffin with tears flowing down her eyes. Her hospital gown was already drenched by the rain. Her forehead was bandaged. But she didn't seem to care at all.

He hold her hand tightly to reassure her that he's here.
"How can you be so cruel?" That man whisper."You like to be mean to me, don't you?"
His green eyes were beaming with tears.
"Why are you so stubborn, Eliza? You said you love me. It was all a lie. You don't love me at all. If you did then you won't be able to sleep so peacefully while leaving me a mess. I hate you. Do you hear me.... I hate you so much." He broke down in tears again.

Nobody seems to pay attention to the boy. He was sitting at the front seat. It seems like they were trying to avoid him. There was always someone who was trying to comfort the other person, except him. He was sitting all alone.
He wasn't wearing a black suit. His white shirt was crumpled. Other have umbrellas to shield them from the rain. But he didn't have anything. He was already drenched thoroughly.

The girl did noticed him though. Even from far her eyes were glued to his green eyes.

Everybody stands up while the coffin was lowering down on the ground. But he was still sitting there motionless. His eyes never leaving the coffin. Everyone was crying . But he didn't shed a tear. But for some reason, that girl thought that he was the one who was in unbearable pain.

"Mr. Bently, you need to rest." Anna says in a concerned voice.

"She's right." Nick said while glancing at him. "You should rest. We're here."

"No" He replied firmly." If she's stubborn, then I'm stubborn too. I'm not going anywhere unless she's with me."
He stands up and look at them.
"I'm not leaving."

They knew that he won't leave her side. Determination can be seen in his eyes.
"You guys should...." Before he can say anything else , his body weavers. Nick catches him in time. Otherwise he would've fall on the ground.

"Mr. Bently, you're not well. You really need rest." Nick was really concerned about him now.

That man didn't say anything. He just give them a small smile, but his eyes looks like as if they were dead. He sat on the chair again and take her hand in his.

"I'm not leaving her." He says again." She have to come back to me. Let's see who is more stubborn, her or me?"
Anna looks at her friend and then she looks at him. Nick began to say something but she stops him. Cause she finally understands that Zack doesn't need them , he needs her. The only one he'll listen to is her.
Anna went outside the room and broke down in tears. Suddenly two arms engulfed her.

Nick comfort her as she cry.
"Why she isn't waking up, Nick? Why?

"She'll...she have to. If not for us, then for that man. She has to wake up. Tears were forming in Nick'' eyes too.

The girl looks at him again. Everyone was gone by now. But he was still there. He slowly stands up from the chair and began to walk towards the grave.
He looks at the grave. Then he fall on the ground.
"DAD...." He scream in pain while tears were finally flowing down from his eyes.
"DAD.....you...promised." His every painfull scream were cutting her heart in two.
She place her hand over her mouth to suppress the sobs.

"Ho....w can you be so...selfish,huh! I don't have anyone now. Yo....you promised me .....that you won't leave.... Why did you break it. TELL ME." He screams in agony then lie on the ground. "Da....d" He cries while touching the grave...

"I'm.....sorr...sorry." The girl was crying.I'm....sorry. I'm...real....really sorry."

"Zack, you really need to eat something. You haven't ate anything for two days. Come on..your going to die like this."
Lucas tried to talk to him but it was in vain.
Anna looks at Zack,who looks like didn't hear a thing he's friend has said. He looks so pale. Even the doctor is now concerned about him. They even tried to move him from her side. But it was no use.

Zack didn't even notice the people around him . His eyes were fixed on her. His head was lying beside her while their fingers were entertwined.

"I love you." His voice was a mere whisper. His body has become too weak now. But he doesn't care. He'll gladly give up his life if that means she'll live.
"I love you." He said again. Tears were flowing down from his eyes.

" The rain has stopped by now. The girl stands up and come out from behind the wall. Her feets trembled as she walk towards him.
She went near him. His hair was now a mess. His clothes were full of mud. She sat beside him and looks closely at that man. He was asleep now. But the agony was still present in his face.

She slowly run her hand through his messy hair. Suddenly she felt too weak. So she lie down beside him.

He began to sob in his sleep." Dad....don't leave..dad."

She place her hand over him. He grab her hand and pull it towards his chest. He hold her hands close to him and drift into a deep peaceful sleep. The agony vanished from his face.

A tear slipped her eyes.
"I'm sorry...I'm really sorry.....

It took me a moment to realize where I'm. But suddenly I feel a person hugging me tightly . His body was shaking as he cries.
"Eli....za.....Eliza..."

I inhaled his scent. His crying was breaking my heart. I wrap my arms around him and hold him tightly.

"Zack..." My voice was sore. This seems to increase his cries.

"Don't .....leave...please... I love ...you."

"I'm sorry , Zack. I'm sor....sorry. I'm really sorry.
