Do not read this now . First go to the previus chapter. I've changed the ending of that chapter a little. First of all this is not a chapter. I just read the story and found out other half of it has vanished. Damn I'm feeling so angry right now. But I do want you guys to know the other half... So here is it and no quotes because it's a part of the previous one. It's not big either as it's just the completion.

He was still asleep when I get out of the bed. Of course it has taken some effort to untangle myself from him. He stirred a little then fall back asleep. I look at his face again. So peaceful unlike the storm inside my head. My phone started to ring at the same time.

It startled me as I jerked in surprise. It's really early. Who can it be. I slowly went out of the bedroom clutching the phone in my hand.

"Hello"

"Liz, where are you?" Anna asked me with worry. Shit, I totally forgot to call her.

"Sorry. I forgot to inform you. I'm at Zack's home."

"God..you gave me a heart attack." I can heard her sigh.
"How's uncle and aunt."

"They're fine. You know the usual. Fighting and arguing."

"I really miss them. You didn't even invited me this time." She said sullenly.

"Since when do you need one anyway. You know they love you more then me."

"Yep. That's right and you're still jealous." She said cheerfully.

"Huh! As if." I laugh at her cheerfulness but I still felt sad for her. For Anna, my parents were her own cause her own parents doesn't give a damn about her. In fact, they're the reason, she moved here.

"Liz.." Anna's voice bring me out of my thought.
"I-I want to tell you something." She sounds sad and hesitant at the same time.

"Ann, what's wrong?" Now I was getting worried.

"When are you coming home."
Something was really wrong.

"Why are you sounding like this?"

"I'll-I want to tell you everything. I don't want to hide. It's becoming a burden, Liz." She whisper as if someone might hear her.

"Listen, I'm coming there, OK."

"OK. I'm gonna say everything." She sounded so sad but before I can say anything she hanged up.
I was really worried about her. She doesn't sounded like her usual self. Something was bothering her.

"What's wrong?" His deep voice startled me. When has he came.

"Stop scaring me like that."
His eyes only narrowed even more in question as he slowly walk towards me.

"What's wrong, Eliza." He asks me again.

"It's just..." Should I tell him. I don't want to worry him anymore but he'll know in a second if I'm lying.
"It's Anna. Something's wrong with her."
He came forward and wrap his arm around me pulling me towards him.

"And..?" His eyes were already searching my face for answer.

"I need to go home." His hold on me tightened immediately.

"You're not going anywhere." He said sternly.

"Zack...she needs me."

"I need you too."

"Just try to understand.."

"No." He stopped me. "You're not going anywhere and that's it."

"Zack.."

"Didn't you hear what I said? You're not going anywhere."

Why was he behaving like this today. I know he's possessive but not unreasonable.

"Stop being so selfish."

"I'll be selfish. Hell, I'll be more than just that to keep you beside me."

"Zack.." I softly said. "She is my best friend."

"And me! What am I to you?" His hands let go of me.
"Actually I know what I am. Someone who's replaceable, isn't it?"

"What are you talking.."

"No let me finish." He stopped me then walk a step back as if my presence is hurting him.

"You'll always choose them over me, won't you?" He whisper as if finally coming to a decision.

"Listen.."
He keeps talking as if he didn't hear me.

"Whenever it's your friend or family, you'll choose them." He laughed bitterly. "I'll never be your first priority like you're mine." A sad bitter smile formed on his lips.

What is he talking about. I only wanted to go home. He's misunderstanding me.
I go towards him then cupped his checks .

"Tell me , if your friend or family was in trouble won't you choose them." I tried to make him see my point.

"No Eliza, I won't." His confession takes me by surprise.
"I'll choose you and I'll keep choosing you. Over and over, without a pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat, I'll keep choosing you." He slowly step back from me then turn towards the staircase. As for me I was still speechless to say anything. Was he saying the truth ? Will he do just that? Will he choose me over his father?

He turned towards me, the cold mask was back on his face.
"John will drop you home." With that he turned and disappeared from my sight without a back glance at me. It stung a lot.Really really a lot.

"Hi John." I managed offer him a small smile. He smile at me then held the door open for me. But I didn't wanted to go . I wanted to talk to him. But I think he won't want to meet me now. I sigh then started go go towards the car.

"Your service won't be needed now John. I'll drop her." That voice, I'll recognize it anywhere.

John slowly nod at him then offer me a smile and left that place. I finally turned towards him. He was totally ready for office. The mask of indifference was still firmly in place as he open the door for me. After making sure that the seatbelt was firmly around me he went around and entered the car. The whole drive he was silent, keeping his eyes firmly on the road ahead.

He stopped the car in front of my home but still didn't look up at me.
"Bye, Zack." I says quitely but he still didn't respond. I glance at him again then started to get out but a hand grasped mine.

"Eliza..." The desperation in his voice stopped me. I turned towards him hoping he'll say something.
He looks at me then turns his head towards the road again letting go of my hand.

"Bye." The desperation was gone. I slowly get out of the car. Any other time, he'll wait until I was inside but today he didn't. But I was still standing there watching his car disappearing out of my view. I didn't even know how I got inside. The tug of pain in my heart was only increasing. I sat on the couch hoping to feel at least  a little comfort but suddenly it doesn't feel like home anymore.

My phone suddenly buzzed with a massage. I hurriedly checked it hoping it was from him. But it was from Anna saying she'll be a little late.

I sigh helplessly. Why is our relationship so complicated. Before we can take one step forward, we take two step backward. Is this how it always will be? But something was wrong with him. There must be something that triggered that behavior but what?

The ringing of my phone startled me. But before I can check, there was loud knocking on the door.
Maybe it's Anna. I went towards the door totally forgetting about the still ringing phone.

I opened the door expecting to see her but it wasn't her.
What is he doing here? How did he even found out where I live?

"Hi.." I said hesitantly. The first time I met him, he was a lot more welcoming but now he looks so cold, distant.

"Hello, Liza." Lucas's voice was so businesslike.  But what came out of his mouth co confused me even more.
"We need to talk."
