Two hour and five minutes from 7.00.....
"Stop it"

"Stop what?"
"Counting time.It's freaking me out".Anna said annoyingly.

"I'm just nervous ,okey"

"And why is that?

"You know why.Why would he want to come here.I just don't get it and it's  annoying the the hell out of me."

"Maybe he's attracted to you" .Anna suggest.

"Snap out of your fantasy,Anna.In real life things like this don't happen."I bark at her.

"Okey,okey..I understand."

"Sorry I'm just nervous."

I still didn't tell Anna about his proposal. This is the first time I've hidden something from her.

"Liz,what's the matter?Something is bugging you."

"No no I said hurriedly.I'm just nervous."

"You can't lie to me Liz."

Damn.Am I that much of a bad liar.

"I won't push you now.But you'll tell me once you're ready,right?"

I sigh.."okey,I will".

The dooebell started ringing.
Shit.....who's it.It can't be him.There is still one hour and fifty five minutes left.
Am I counting time again?I think I'm getting crazy.Yep,no doubt about it.
Anna went to open it.

"Not you again".Anna moan in annoynce.
"I miss you too Anna."

Nick is here early.
I let out a deep breath.At least there is still one hour ....no stop counting.I scold myself.

"Why are you here so early".Anna's voice was full of irritation.

"Anna,I came specially to spend time with you.You're my light in darkness..."

"Ughhh....not again.Someone please save me."
Did I ever mention even though we're best friends,those two still like to irritate the hell out of each other.

"Hi ,Nick.I hope you still remember that I live here too.Thanks for the help today though."I said while glaring at him.

"What was I supposed to do.Your boyfriend seems like he was ready to kill me.I did it for you .You should be happy."Nick pouted

"What!First ,he's not my boyfriend and secondly my jerk of a best friend left me with a stranger when I needed him the most.Yeah I should be really happy."

"Well that man was the Zack Bently and I thought if he kills me you will be devastated. That's why I left.See I do care for you"

"You're really asking for beating Nick and how do you know his name?

"Everybody knows ,babe.He's really famous.In a word ,he owns more than half of this city.How come you don't know it."Nick brows furrowed.

"Liz,I can kill him for you."Anna said to me.

"Wow ,thanks Anna.By the way I know you love me too.What can I say,I do have a great body."Nick started to show his biceps to her.

"NICK!"

"Come on ,you know you want me."

"I'm going to kill you,that's for sure.But right now let's help Liz in making dinner."

"But I thought I was the guest."

"A really annoying one at that."

I sigh...there fight is not going to end anytime soon.

That reminds me..there is still one hour and fourty five minutes left.

Hmm...I'm really hopeless.

I was setting the table when the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it."Nick went to open the door.I heard him opening it.
Silence...more silence.
What are they doing there.
"Anna,please take care of this and I'll go check on them"

"No problem,you go before they kill each other".

Appearatly,my best friend and my...... I don't even know what to call him were engaged in a stare off match.

Nick was really uncomfortable. That much I can say.
Zack was glaring at him and with every passing second it only deepens.

His eyes fell on me like he can feel my presence.It wasn't full of arrogance ,it was filled with happiness. I must be imaging it.

He walked towards me then engulfed me in his embrace.He was taking deep breath like he was inhaling my scent.

He finally let go of me but his hand was still grasping mine.

"Eliza,you look beautiful today."
A blush automatically found it's way on my cheeck.

"Thanks".Although I still don't understand what was so beautiful about my messy hair or sweating face which was a result of cooking.

"Umm..I'll go and help Anna.Nice to meet you Mr.Bently."With that Nick bolted towards the door like he couldn't escape soon enough.

Zack didn't even looked at him.His eyes was still on me.

"What"Do I have something on my face?"

He just keep smiling

"No,it's nothing".

"You're really confusing. You know that right."

"I know.You've already told me."

"Good evening ma'am."

I jumped in surprise. When has he come.
He was holding a champagne bottle.It seems really expensive.

Zack took the botle from him.
"Hello,John."I greeted him.

"You can leave now Johnathan.I'll call you in time".

"Yes ,sir.Goodbye ma'am."

"Wait..."but he was already gone.

"Why didn't you asked him to stay?"

"Cause I didn't wanted him to."
"You're really rude."

"I know.Now answe me."
"What answer?"

"You know it so ,don't ask .On a second thought let's go and eat first.I'm hungry."

He dismissed me just like that.
I try to pull away but his hold only tightened.

"So,you and Eliza are friends for thirteen years."Zack asked Anna while eating his salad.

"Yeah,you can say that."Anna replied shyly.
I guess the Zack Bently charm was working on her too.

"Eliza,your parents live here too right".Zack asked me.

"No ,they live in California."
When I mentioned California, his whole demeanour changed.
Agony was written all over his face.

Did I do something wrong?

"Sorry,I've to go.I  suddenly remembered some important work." He said standing from his chair.

"But you didn't eat anything"I said to him standings as well.

"Goodbye Anna and Nick."
He purposefully avoided me.

Then he was out of the door.

"Guys I'll be right back".I go after him.
John was already waiting with the car.
"Zack"I called for him.
He stopped but didn't turn.
"Did I do something wrong?"I don't know why but I don't want him to be mad at me.

"Go back Eliza".
"No,answer me first.Why are you leaving.
Then he turn towards me.His eyes were empty and it's really freaking me out.

"Answer!I don"t answer to anyone Eliza."his voice was devoid of any emotions.

"You should answer me first though.Cause there are plenty of woman out there who will take your place happily."

How dare he?
"Yes,Mr.Bently I think there are.Then do me a favor and choose them.I don't know what the hell is your problem.But this is my life and you the great Mr. Zack Bently stay the hell out of my life."

"I need you to leave me alone."I was breathing heavily.
He was still watching me with that cold expression.

"You mean nothing to me.I don't want you in my life."He said to me but looks lile he was trying to make himself understand that.

"Good.Then I guess it's goodbye Mr.Bently."
Then I do what I always seem to do when it comes to him.
I walk away
