ANGELA's POV

After I went back to the clinic and gave the box to Caitlin, I asked her if I could go home early because I wasn't feeling well. Thankfully, she agreed. I got in a taxi like I wasn't myself, staring into space. I felt light headed and I still couldn't believe that I finally saw someone from my past clearly. But that made me more confused than ever. Hunter told me that I didn't have a family anymore. Then who's Ellie Novell in my life?

The teenager told me that the girl on the cover of the magazine is Ellie Novell. She told me too that I am Angelique Novell and Ellie Novell is my sister. I felt so lost with all these.

I leaned back my head at the headrest and closed my eyes. Thankfully, I had my medicine for my headache with me and I already took it a while ago.

I wanted to call Hunter to ask him about it but I decided to just wait for him at home because I prefer to discuss it face to face than through phone call.

When I arrived home, I saw Ana busy cleaning the living room.

"You're early today. Are you okay? You look pale" She ask with concern. I smiled faintly.

"I'm fine, Ana. I'll just go upstairs and take a rest"

"Okay. I'll call you later for lunch" I just nodded and proceeded upstairs. I tumbled on the bed after I took off my shoes. My headache wasn't as bad as a while ago because of the medicine I took but it still throbbing painfully. I massaged my temples in a circular motion and tried the breathe-in breathe-out exercise that my doctor taught me as I closed my eyes and tried to relax.

Then another flash of memories came on my head....

"From now on, I forbid you to go out at night without a guard with you. Understood?"

"Reg, you're overreacting. Nothing bad happened to me and I don't need a bodyguard"

"Angela, this is not France! We should be careful all the time! If you don't want to have a bodyguard then I won't allow you to go out at night anymore

"But Regan, that's unfair! I'm not a child anymore"

"My decision is final Angelique. I don't want to make mom worry"

"Fine"

I didn't know even notice that tears were already streaming down from my eyes as that memory came back to me. I could clearly see the face of Regan and me on that particular day but it was still incomplete. Yes, I could now remember some of my memories but I am still confused. I thought Hunter and I were already lovers before I lost my memories? Then why don't I see him with those memories?

I tried to remember some more of it but it felt like there was a wall that's preventing me from further remembering the past. I wiped my tears. I felt weird. I felt like Regan and Ellie really existed in my life and they're very important to me and I am almost certain about it.

HUNTER's POV

"Sir, you have a visitor here. He said his name is Zander Montealegre" My brows creased when I heard that. What is he doing here in Greece?

I suddenly felt uneasy. He's my friend but Zander Montealegre and Regan Novell are business associates. I didn't know why he's suddenly here but I felt like he has something important to discuss with me. I know Zander. He's not the type of a guy to come here personally without an important reason.

"Send him in, Vera" I instructed and composed myself.

"Okay sir" After a couple of seconds, the door opened and saw Vera with Zander. When Vera left, Zander approached me with a serious face. He never changed. He is one of my good buddies since college and he's still as serious as ever. I stood up and gave him a hug. I last saw him a year ago when I last went to the USA.

"So what brings you here? I didn't expect you to come and visit me" I said. We we're sitting on the couch.

"What? Don't tell me you didn't read my message to you? I've been calling you since this morning but you weren't answering your damn phone so I just texted you" I furrowed at him before I checked my mobile and saw his missed calls and message.

"Sorry, man. I didn't hear it" his eyes brow cocked up.

"You must have something bothering you because you never failed to answer my calls before" he got me there. I faked a chuckle of amusement.

"Me? No, man. It's just that I was busy since this morning" He nodded his head.

"Okay. If you say so. Anyway, I just finished my business meeting nearby when I remembered you and decided to drop by" I looked at him suspiciously.

"C'mon Zand, I know you. Spill it out already" He chuckled.

"You really know me so well my friend" He said before he turned serious.

"Hunt, I saw you yesterday" My heart started beating nervously. He's staring at me intently like he was scrutinizing me.

"Where?"

"At the restaurant. I didn't approach you because I was shocked to see the woman with you"

I became silent for a couple of seconds.

"You know what. Mrs. Sophie Novell is in the USA last month and she was searching for her daughter Angelique. Apparently, she came here in Greece to have a vacation for two weeks a year ago but then she sent a message to her brother that she would stay here. Regan was so occupied dealing with searching for a woman that he believed that it was really his sister who texted him. But for the last 5 months, he had been searching for her but to no avail. Tell me the truth, Hunt. Why are you hiding Angelique here?"

"What are you talking about? I'm not with her. Why would I hide her here?" I tried to lie even though I knew I was already caught but his expression didn't change at all. He looked certain of the things he's telling me.

"C'mon, Hunt. I know you're lying. I saw the two of you. You were very sweet with each other. How come?" I heaved a sigh. He really got me now.

"She has amnesia" His eyes widened.

"What?! She has amnesia and you're taking this as an opportunity to get revenge on Regan, is that it?" His eyes sharpened. I knew he's beginning to get upset.

"At first, yes. I admit I wanted to get my revenge on her brother but that all changed when I fell in love with her" he laughed sarcastically.

"Fell in love? My a*s, Hunt! You're playing with her emotions! If I were you, let go of her right now before I tell Regan about all these" I shook my head in protest.

"No! I won't let go of her, Zander. I told you, I already love her and I am willing to do anything to keep her by my side" I answered full off determination. He scoffed.

"So you're planning to let her live a life full of lies, is that it?"

"Zand, I've been planning to tell her about the truth for a long time now but I honestly doesn't have the guts to tell herbecause I'm afraid of losing her" His expression softened.

"I can't believe this. The Hunter Hatzis, who has a heart of stone I knew, is telling me this?"

"Please, Zand. Don't tell this to her family yet" I pleaded him. He didn't answer for a couple of seconds before he heaved a sigh.

"Fine. I'll give you three days to fix this. Tell everything to her or else I'll be the one to tell it to her or to Regan" He said with finality.

"But I don't know how to. I don't think I can take it if I lose her" I didn't care if I sounded lame or weak in front of my friend.

"You should've thought about the consequences before you did this, Hunt. I'm sorry to tell you this. I am your friend but I can't tolerate what you did to her. Regan is my friend too. I hope you understand. I know you're angry at him for what happened to your sister but Angelique didn't do anything. She's innocent and she doesn't deserve to be treated this way"

Zander already left five minutes ago but I remained in my spot, staring at the closed door as his words kept on repeating in my head.

He's right. I need to fix this now before it's too late. That's what my rationale side of my brain was telling me but the other one was telling me otherwise. If I told her about the truth, she would surely leave me now but when I wait until she regains her memories, she would still leave me. Argh! I felt so confused.

After work, I didn't go straight home. I went for a drink at the bar alone and think. When I felt the alcohol started to kick in, I decided to go home. Upon arriving home, I went straight to Angela and I's room. I was expecting for her to be asleep already but when I opened the door, I was surprised to see her still up while watching a movie. She looked like she was thinking very deeply that she didn't even notice me opening the door.

"Hi, baby. Why are you still up?" I asked which caught her attention. I strode towards the bed and gave her a kiss.

"You're drunk" She commented in a serious tone.

"No, baby. I just took a couple of shots before coming home"

"Next time, don't drink and drive. It's dangerous" She said. Now that I looked at her, she looked weird. She's been staring meaningfully at me since I arrived. I swallowed hard nervously.

"Is something wrong?" I asked her feigning nonchalance and sat next to her. She turned off the TV before she met my eyes and I saw her eyes clouded with different emotions.

"You told me that I'm an only child and I don't have family now, right?" She began. My heart began thumping faster. I gulped again and then reluctantly nodded my head.

"Then who are Ellie Novell and Regan Novell in my life?" My eyes widened and I knew she noticed that I was stunned by her question. My mouth fell open to say something but I couldn't find the right words to say.

"D-Do you remember e-everything now?" I even stuttered. She shook her head and I didn't know why but I felt relieved. I'm really an a*shole for feeling this way.

"Then how did you know about them?" Her eyes widened.

"T-They really exist?" I felt like I lost all the courage I managed to gatherand confess everything to her. Am I ready to really lose her now?

"Y-Yes"

"Then why didn't you tell me about them? Why did you lie? I don't understand" Tears started to roll down her eyes. It pained me seeing her like this. I was about to embrace her when he motioned me to stop and my heart sank.

"W-why did you lie to me? What else are you hiding from me?" Her voice is shaking as she asked me those. She's really crying hard now. I was about to answer her when she cupped her head and groaned in pain.

"Baby, are you okay?"

"My head hurts again...Argh!" I began panicking. I stood up and went to the look inside the drawer where she keeps her meds. But it wasn't there.

"It's inside my bag" She said and laid down. I quickly searched inside her bag and then took one tablet and then took the bottle of water at the bedside table and then gave it to her. I embraced her tightly after she took the medicine. I stroked her hair gently while waiting for the medicine to take effect.

"T-Tell me why did you lie" She managed to ask me in a barely audible voice. Her eyes were half closed but her eye brows were creased.

"Shhh....Let's talk about this when you feel better. Don't talk and just relax. I'll tell you everything after" I said and kissed her temple. We stayed in the position until I heard her steady breathing. Thankfully, she fell asleep.

I'll tell you everything when you wake up, baby. I hope you'll forgive me...

ANGELA's POV

The morning after that, I found myself throwing up on the sink. I kept on vomiting until I couldn't take it anymore. I felt drained. I washed my face and then stared at myself in the mirror. I looked like a mess.

What's happening? I usually have headaches but not like this. Am I sick?

When I finally felt better, I decided to take a shower.

After showering, I went out of the bathroom. I looked at the clock and it was already 9 am. Caitlin's surely going to kill me...

I quickly picked up my phone and dialed her number. She answered immediately.

"I'm sorry, Cait. I woke up late and----"

"It's okay. Hunt already informed me about it. Just stay home and don't think too much about work. Just relax, okay?" I smiled as I heard the concern in her voice.

"Thank you, Cait. Don't worry, I'll be sure to come tomorrow" I assured her.

"It's okay, Angela. Come when you feel better" She's really a nice person who I already considered a friend.

After talking to her, I got dressed and blow dried my hair then decided to go down.

"Good morning, Angela. I already prepared your breakfast" She informed me while vacuuming. I thanked her and then went at the dining table to eat. It's kinda weird that Hunter is not here eating breakfast with me. He's surely at his work now.

After I ate my breakfast, I decided to go at the beach and relax. I laid on the lounge chair there with a big parasol.

I didn't want to think about my past but I couldn't help but to think about it again. Hunter didn't answer my question last night before I fell asleep and it's making me anxious. Why did he lie? What if he's just deceiving me? Argh! No! Hunter loves me. He must have a good reason for not telling me about it.

I stayed at the beach for at least 2 hours before I decided to go back at the house. I rested at the room for the whole day and slept. It was already 5:15 pm when I woke up because Ana called me and informed me that Ben wanted to talk to me.

I went down and saw him at the living room. He looked bothered. I greeted him but he just remained serious while staring at me intently. This was the first time I saw Ben again after three months because he left the farm for an unknown reason. He didn't even say goodbye then.

"How are you, Ben? You left without even goodbye to me"

"I'm sorry about that. My friend offered me a job in the USA and I accepted it" He answered.

"But I didn't come here because of that. I have something to tell you which I found out just recently" My eye brows knitted together.

"What is it?" I didn't know why but my heart started beating fast.

"Hunter is just deceiving you"

"What are you talking about?" I asked as I started to feel nervous and confused. He held my hand and stared directly into my eyes.

"He is a liar Angela. He's Hunter Hatzis. He came from the Hatzis clan here in Greece and they're a very influential family not to mention very rich. Aside from that, I discovered too that your real name is Angelique Novell and you're not really married to him. He's just playing with you" My mouth fell open because I was utterly stunned. But then I shook my head, couldn't accept what he just told me.

"N-No. You're just mistaken, Ben. Hunter would never do that to me"

"Why don't you ask Sheena and Apollo? Apparently, they knew about this from the beginning" I kept on shaking my head no vigorously. I couldn't understand why Ben was telling me all these lies. I stood up.

"I'm sorry, Ben but I don't believe you----" My sentence was interrupted by someone who came crashing at the door. Sheena.

"Ben, stop it!" She said.

"No! I'm not going to stop, Sheena! Why don't you tell her now that what I've said to her a while ago were true?!" A whimper escaped from my lips when I heard that. I stared at Sheena but just looking at her made me realize that Ben was telling me the truth.

"I-Is it true, Sheena? Is it true that Hunter is just deceiving me all these time?" She bit her lower lip and looked down guiltily. She looked like she was about to burst into tears.

"Answer me, Sheena!" I yelled which made her flinch. After a couple of seconds, she nodded her head and started crying.

I didn't know what happened but I found myself running out of the house with tears pooling from my eyes. I couldn't believe that my suspicion was right all along. Hunter is really keeping secret from me. It really hurts.

I wasn't sure of where to go to but I just wanted to get away from the house as far as possible.

But then a car stopped nearby and then I heard Hunter calling my name. I didn't stop but then I felt nauseous all of a sudden, accompanied by an unbearable headache. It was getting worst every second that I stopped running.

"Where are you going, baby? I keep on calling you but---" He stopped talking when he noticed my state.

"What happened?" He asked worriedly and tried to touch me but I just swatted his hands away.

"I-Is It true t-that you've b-been deceiving me? Is it true that you're not really my h-husband? T-That your name is Hunter Hatzis and I am Angelique Novell?" I managed to asked even though I felt like any moment now, I would pass out. He looked stunned.

"W-Who told you that?"

"Just a-answer me" I said before I groaned in pain loudly. I felt him picked me up, bride style.

"Answer me, please" I cried. He stopped walking and then stared into my eyes and I was shocked to see tears falling from his eyes before he nodded. I felt like my heart burst. Then darkness consumed me.

When I woke up, I found myself at the hospital. I tried to lift my left hand but I couldn't. I looked at who was holding it and saw Hunter, sleeping while holding my hand. Tears rapidly formed my eyes. My heart felt like it was about to explode as the rush of reality came into me. Ben was right. He deceived me.

I thought i could add the confrontation part but it's already too long so i decided to just remove it. Anyway, what do you think will happen next to these two? :)
