Chapter One

December 17th, 2022.

2:24 AM.

Lilian glared down at her phone, sitting on the couch with nothing but blueish light hitting her face. She had a tank-top loosely on, the straps loosely hanging on her shoulders. She was grumbling to herself, her pale blue eyes felt like they couldn't shut. She took in a shaky breath, before she jumped at the sound of knocking at the door.

Lilian rubbed her eyes, fixing her clothes and stumbling over to the door. Her hand felt around and grabbed the doorknob, twisting it and pulling it open, feeling the cold breeze hit her face. She looked up to meet the man in the doorframe's eyes. Her gaze turned slightly irritated, "Neo.." she grumbled.

Neo looked down at Lilian. He was clearly bitter, but he attempted to keep up his smug facade, with a forced smile. "Lilian..!" He muttered, his smile already trembling.

Lilian and Neo, they were nearly inseparable. They never really were into each other romantically, but their friendship was amazing. They knew each other for ages, since they were twelve. Of course, regarding their reaction at each other's presence, something happened between them.

Yeah, guess who got pregnant at sixteen from someone's brother? Yeah, Lilian, all from the doings of Neo's brother. Lilian had stopped talking to Neo, since Neo just reminded her too much of his brother. His black hair, ambitious attitude, and just everything about him. Lilian could say she hates Neo, but she refuses to admit it.

(‼️R@pe and pregnancy mention section end‼️)

"So, Lily, how's Reo..?" Neo asked, nearly choking on his words. There was a little bit of sweat on his forehead, even if he was just wearing some sweatpants and a coat in the middle of December.

"Don't call me Lily." Lilian stated, her tone as firm as cold steel. Her face twisted into a scowl, objected to telling him absolutely anything about her son. "Why are you concerned with Reo? He is my son, and I don't want him to ever know his father or anyone on his side. You hear?" She snapped.

"Well.. I just wanted to know.. like as a friend!" Neo weakly explained. His smile was trembling now, his piercingly green eyes very narrowed with worry.

Lilian sneered bitterly, "How about you be a 'friend' and get away. What in gods name are you doing walking to my house at this time, in the snow?! You lunatic," she barked, before slamming the door in Neo's face, the door inches away from hitting Neo's nose.

Neo backed away from the door, and sighed and looked down. His eyes dilated, before grunting and storming away, "You know you sound cocky as f—k.." He grumbled, with almost no trace of worry and concern left in his voice, unlike earlier.

It could've all been an act. Neo was good at acts, even if he hates himself for it.

December 20th, 2022.

9:23 AM.

Lio rushed over to Oliver, his boots making loud crunches and crackles in the mildly heavy snow that covered the ground. His breaths had first made cold puffs whenever he exhaled, but enough cold air had entered his mouth that the air was not hot enough to create the pale huffs in the air.

"Ollie!" Lio cried, not caring that his scarf was about to fall off by this point.

The blonde boy Lio was calling out to jumped, with a very tiny peep. He shook his head and meekly chuckled, fixing his fluffy pale blonde hair out of his eyes and behind his reddened from the cold ears. "Eheh, hey, Lio!" He softly chuckled, an embarrassed shade of pink across his freckled cheeks.

"Merry almost Christmas!" Lio chirped, an innocent grin across his tanned face. Ollie softly smiled in return, slight endearment shimmering in his soft blue eyes as he looked down to the shorter boy.

"You too~!" Ollie sweetly replied, smiling back graciously, "So, what's been up?"

"I dunno.. clouds," Lio murmured, with fake puzzlement both in his tone and in his face. Ollie softly giggled and crossed his arms and shook his head.

"I'm sure there's more than that!" Ollie laughed lightheartedly, offering a smile.

"Oh, well, just been congratulating Lilian and Fiona, they're a very cute couple!" Lio chuckled, softly smiling back up to Ollie, meeting his eyes.

"Yeah, they are-" Ollie replied, though he was cut off by the bickering of Vincent and Neo in the background.

Neo just storming and shouting with his hands over his ears, as Vincent was berating Neo. Ollie frowned, as Lio looked in worried confusion. Vincent and Neo seemed to be very frustrated and angry with each other. This was odd, Vincent and Neo were nearly inseparable.

"This doesn't seem good," Lio quietly remarked.

"Uh-uh," Ollie murmured back, his brows furrowing.

And as the generous narrator, let me tell you something my dear reader, no this isn't good. Not good at all. And you'll know why soon, dear reader, soon~.
