A machine beeps constantly beside you. Hazy memories spill into your mind. This isn't the first time you have woken up like this. You know the routine.

Open your eyes.

You do....

Wiggle your toes....

You can....

At least you aren't paralyzed this time.

Look around....

Your vision is ok although a little blurred....

Sit up....

You do.....

A pounding headache causes you to lie back down again. Ok this is a new one. It can only mean the stone's power is affecting your brain now.

"...Dammit..." you curse.

"Nice of you to finally join us." Says a sarcastic voice.

"Hmmm...must have fallen asleep or something..." You reply equally.

He grunts at you.
"Not before you tore apart the dojo..."

"Sounds about right..."

He hums at you. If you had destroyed the dojo then you most definitely hurt someone, maybe even killed someone. So you ask...

"How many bodies this time?"

"This has happened before?" He replies sounding surprised.

You close your eyes trying not to remember.
"Yes. A few times."

"No bodies, only minor injuries."

"Thank god." You sigh in relief, praising the universe for keeping everyone safe.

A knock at the door.

"It's Sakura."

The door buzzes and unlocks and the woman enters the room. As the door closes it locks again.

"I need to run some vitals. And the CT scan came back positive." The woman says. She leans over you shining a right light into your eyes.

"My name is Sakura, do you remember me?. I am the village's medical-nin. I have to say...I haven't seen anything like you before."

You nod, of course she hasn't and of course you do. She's the one who clipped your jaw earlier.

"Can you tell me about that Gelel stone in your body? How did it get there?"

It was such a long story. How to put it in short terms?
"It was placed inside me the day I was born."

"Hmm...who would have done such a thing?"

The man explains it for you.
"Haido...or someone who follows his path. From what I know about the Gelel stones, is that only a few can possess its power. They are called the children of Gelel. There are even fewer who can place it into the body."

He had it right on point. Except it wasn't Haido who had placed it inside you. It was definitely a follower...your father in fact. Who is no longer on this earth. You sit up cringing at the pain again.
"I'll get you something for that headache." Sakura says.

"Stop, Sakura." The man says. You glance up at him and realize he is the same silver haired jonin from the dojo. "I have one question to ask before you continue to care for her."

Sakura nods.

"Are you here to bring harm to Hidden Leaf Village?"

You stare directly at him.
"No.. I'm here for help."

He scowls.
"Help with what?"

You place a hand over your heart.
"For this, I'm losing control. And everytime I wake up from a black out the side effects get worse. I was told there is a ninja here who can help me find control through the study of chakra and jutsu."

He crosses his arms and tilts his head skeptically.
"Do you have a name for this ninja?"

You nod.
"Kakashi, Hatake."

He closes his eyes, cursing under his breath.

"You know him? Can you please send for him? I need to speak to the ninja right away...I'm running out of time!...please!"

He hesitates for a moment.
"....You're looking right at him."

You gasp and cover your mouth. No way is this older man Kakashi Hatake. He doesn't seem all that spectacular in his abilities.
"You're Kakashi?" You ask in disbelief.

He rolls his eyes.
"Yeah...but I stopped taking on students a year ago...I'm retired."

"Retired?..." You repeat to yourself and shake your head. "No, I was told you would help me."

"I'm sorry but I have no interest in taking on another student. Especially one this complicated. You'll have to go elsewhere, I hear the land of sound is taking on students this time of year. You may have a better chance there."

Your brows knit together.
"I've already tried there."

"Then try somewhere else."

Man, this guy is cold.
"I have. This is the last safe place to go. The only other places left that would accept me are your enemies. Ones that only want power. Do you know what they would do to me if they found out what I carry?"

Sakura shares a worried look with Kakashi. But he holds his position against you.

You sweep your hair to the side and breathe out.
"Fine, but the world holds you responsible for what could happen if I fall into the wrong hands."

He lowers his hands and shakes his head in disgust.
"So you're going to play that game?"

You glare back at him equally disgusted.
"What choice do I have?"

"The answer is no."

He walks towards the door and presses a combination of buttons to open it. The lock disengages and he steps out into the hallway. You begin to panic. You haven't come this far and gone through this much torment for a simple no. Just before the door closes you tell him you aren't giving up.

"You will be my sensei, Kakashi Hatake! Or I will sit in front of your office every single day if I have to!"

The door shuts and you fall back onto the bed swearing at him.

Sakura watches you seriously.

"You're really going to sit in front of his office everyday?"

"Fucking rights I am. What the hell else do I do?." You grumble.

"I think it's a good idea. I agree that you need some help as this stone is taking over your body. It's unfortunate I can't remove it. But I'll give you some advice about Kakashi. He's stubborn, clever, sarcastic and kind of lazy."

"That's promising..."

She smiles.
"He also loves salt broiled saury..."

Your lips retract at the thought of broiled fish.
"Ew."

"Miso soup, and a venti coconut milk latte with no sugar."

You smile deviously at her helpful tips.
"Thank you for the info. I hope it helps...no sugar hey? I think he could use some sweetening up. He's pretty bitter."

Sakura laughs.
"He's not so bad once he gets to know you. But he's definitely low on fucks to give."

"I see that. Well I'll be on my way now."

"Ahhh, not quite yet. Our hokage wants to have words with you."

Another knock presents itself and in walks a tall man with sunshine hair and an unreadable look on his face.

"Hana Ikki?"

You nod.

"You have some explaining to do..."

You scratch the back of your head and laugh.
"I guess I do, don't I?"

He scowls as he walks through the door and shuts it behind him.

"Tell me everything..."

After a long explanation and with the help of Sakura you were free to roam the hidden leaf village. To your benefit the hokage was very touched by your story and had you vow not to leave the village ...ever. At least not until you have gained control over your stone. He promised to speak with Kakashi and try to convince him to take you on as his student, however his opinions of Kakashi were similar to Sakura's and changing this man's mind is going to be tough.

You had spent the rest of the day familiarizing yourself with everything he likes so you could present a variety of suck up items at his office first thing every morning.
