W A R N I N G: heart-wrenching moment
Now, this is the story of my younger sister's Minecraft friend we met at like 1:30 AM one day.
I don't play Minecraft, but I watch my younger sister, who is obsessed. She plays at night because she has school work to do during the day. Anyway, so she plays these games on these servers, and one of them is Bed Wars.
(Bed Wars, for those of you who don't know, is kinda like Capture the Flag. There are different teams, and each team has a different color. Each team also has their own bed at their base. As long as your bed is not destroyed, you can respawn after you die. The point of the game is to kill all the teams and be the last team standing. You can collect valuables like emeralds, diamonds, gold, and iron to upgrade your stuff, buy useful materials, etc. If someone kills you, they get all the valuable ores you have, which is important in this story. If you have further questions, go ahead and ask, though I'm not an expert on this game. I didn't explain everything I know because it's not really necessary.)
Anyway, so the version my sister played was the partner one. (There's a 3pv3p version and a solo version, too.) She was just playing with strangers because she doesn't have a lot of friends yet, and she's still kinda a beginner.
So she's playing, right? Her team is doing really well. Most of the other teams have been eliminated. She follows her teammate so that they can fight people together. They're in the middle of the map, where you can collect emeralds, which are very useful for potions and stuff.
Suddenly, an enemy appears and is approaching them. The opponent is on higher grounds, but he is on a separate island (though it's still the middle), so he has to build a bridge, which takes time.
During this time, my sister's partner turns around and gives her all of his valuables. We both go silent and later start panicking. We both know why he's doing this. It's because he wants my sister to take the valuables and go back to the base while he fights off the opponent. What a man.
We are (internally) crying while my younger sister runs back to the base with the valuables. She gets good upgrades and weapons and stuff while her teammate is sacrificing his life for the team. She runs back to help him, and they defeat the enemy.
After his great sacrifice, we immediately like this guy because he's a selfless man, which is always a keeper. She requests to friend him, and he accepts.
Now they are friends.
They start a party so that they can play together and be on the same team and stuff, but then when he types in the chat, we realize something: he is not speaking English.
I am good at recognizing languages, so I say, "He's speaking German."
We gasp at the realization and go to Google Translate to translate what he is trying to say and respond.
We eventually find out that he is, in fact, German, though he does know some English.
We tell him that we'll try to talk to him in German.
He responds that he will try to be better at English and talk to us in English.
We (internally) cry again. He is a precious bean, and we love him.
The next day, my younger sister plays late at night again. We wonder when (and if) he will show up.
He shows up around the same time as the day before. We search up the time difference and conclude that he goes straight to Minecraft at like 8-8:30 AM.
We also conclude that he's probably some 8-year-old kid who's really good at pvp (because he's a MONSTER at killing omg--).
Recently, however, he has not shown up. We are worried about him, but we also think he's just grounded.
End of story.
