Chapter Forty-Nine
The time machine appears directly over a street that's filled with people, and drops the two cats in a pile of mud as they stick their heads out of the machine. They drop with violent yowls, but the people around the two take no notice and keep marching.

They sprint along the crowded streets, dodging piles of muck and leering strangers. Don't do this at home, kids. Reaching the place where MLK was giving his speech on a makeshift platform, the two cats sat down on a wooden plank and began to listen, as Yellowfang twitched quietly.

Wikipedia: (at least she's interested in it now) *facedesk*
The time machine begins beeping and swoops in, not impressed with the man's speech. Yellowfang has to forcefully drag the robot away as she screams and sobs.

Yellowfang: THE TIME MACHINE IS IMPATIENT WE COULD BE STRANDED HERE C'MOOOOOOOOOOOOOON
MLK: *begins to sing*
My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.
Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim's pride,
From every mountainside, let freedom ring!
