With a loud noise, the time machine materializes, fortunately on the ground. Yellowfang immediately jumps out and races a couple of fox-lengths away.

Yellowfang: It's not going to explode, is it, Wikipedia?

Wikipedia: *somehow shrugs* I don't know. I'm not the one who cut the wires.

Yellowfang: *glares at Wikipedia* Hey!

Wikipedia: *magically shrugs again* Just saying...

Yellowfang: BE QUIET!

Wikipedia: Either way, I doubt that's your biggest problem at the moment.

Yellowfang: What do you--

Yellowfang suddenly yelps, heat searing her from all sides. The wooden walkway she is on has caught fire, she yelps, and jumps on the road. She yelps again--it is also on fire, along with the buildings on it.

Yellowfang: AHHHHH!!! FIRE!!!!!!! *starts hyperventilating*

Wikipedia: *thoughtfully and somewhat brightly* Oh, that's right! You died in a fire...

Yellowfang: *frozen in place and shaking* Shut up and get me out of here!!!

Wikipedia: *absently* Yeah, mm-hm, in a minute. *thinks* You died saving Bramblekit, didn't you?

Yellowfang: *fur beginning to heat up dangerously* SURE WHATEVER DOESN'T MATTER SAVE ME!!! *she screeches as the tip of her tail catches fire and she tries desperately to smother it* SAVE ME ALREADY!!!!

Wikipedia: *snaps out of his daze* Oh right!!! *quickly swoops down and scoops up Yellowfang*

The pair flies through the air as Wikipedia tries to find a place to land. Yellowfang gapes as she sees how big the fire is--four miles of buildings, roads and sidewalks burning to the ground.

Yellowfang: Um...where are we?

Wikipedia: *over the wind* What'd you say?

Yellowfang: WHERE ARE WE?

Wikipedia: Yeesh, no need to be so loud.

Yellowfang: *muttering* Whatever. *louder* Where are we?

Wikipedia: We are currently flying over Chicago. This is the Great Chicago Fire, one if the biggest fires in US history. The fire was started in the O'Leary barn, then became so big the firefighters, though the best of the time, couldn't stop it. Around 300 people die in this fire.

A silence follows.

Yellowfang: ...oh. *suddenly starts writhing in pain* AGH IT BURNS IT BURNS!!!

Wikipedia: *glances down* Hmm, you should be too far up to feel other's pain...wait. YELLOWFANG, YOUR TAIL!!!

Yellowfang: *turns, glances at her still-burning tail, and yowls louder* AGHHH OWWWWWWW!

Wikipedia veers toward Lake Michigan, struggling to keep a hold on Yellowfang.

Yellowfang: OWWWWWWWWW

Wikipedia dives down toward the water, ignoring the pointing fingers of several random people. She quickly dunks Yellowfang in and hovers there for a second, the pulls her out.

Yellowfang: What'd you do that for?! Now I'm freezing!!!

Wikipedia: *acidly* Would you rather your tail burned off?

Yellowfang: ...no. I don't want to be killed again by fire!!!!

Wikipedia stares at Yellowfang expectantly.

Yellowfang: *in an annoyed tone* Thanks, Wikipedia.

Wikipedia: Good. We better get to the time machine before it melts.

Yellowfang: It can melt??!!

Without answering, Wikipedia zips back towards the time machine. Flying through the fire. They five into the doors if the time machine, which promptly vanishes in a flash of blue.
