#23 Agent Star

There was a little boy,
With his smile upside down,
He was not happy,
His parents were always out of town.

That lonely night,
He sat with his nanny,
Under the starlit sky,
And wished to be happy.

His wish bore wings,
And flied high up in the space,
Soon it touched a star,
Who was searching for a new case.

For it was Agent Star who saw it,
The little boy's big hope,
Agent Star made it his duty,
To fulfil the wish by pulling some ropes.

It was his job, it was his routine,
To light up faces of tiny tots,
And so he descended in a shower of sparks,
Which caused a confusion of sorts.

The meteor shower had many effects,
The plane which had the parents soon had to delay,
So the plane turned back, along with the parents,
Back to home, where the child wanted them to stay.

So Agent Star helped the child,
He was big of heart, he did not mind,
To turn into dust of the meteor shower,
If it meant that the child's face shined.

Little boy never knew,
Of Agent Star's sacrifice,
He just thanked his lucky stars,
As he sat with his parents, snuggled and nice.

Sweet little poem to thank for all the times when something unexpectedly happened as I wished.
Hope you all like it!
