#22 Forgive Yourself

Sometimes you work, give your mind and soul,
Your heart is on the line, you aim for the highest goal.

But all work crumbles, the reasons are frivolous,
And you sit on the floor, laughing at your own innocence.

You knew you deserved the pie,
The one for which you would die.

But it's snatched away, by greedy arms,
Who snaked their way to it through their charms.

You wonder, where you went wrong,
What you could do to become strong.

Hardwork is useless, look where it brought you,
Miserable on the floor, listening to indie blues.

You think all this, and you think some more,
You think how you could, open a new door.

And an epiphany comes, you have the Nirvana moment,
You jump up from the floor, every second becomes important.

You work again, but work smart,
Steel for nerves harden your heart.

With new vigour, with new passion,
You create your pie with new emotion.

Indeed, you think, why wait for prize?
You desired your dream, now above it you rise.

You forgive yourself, and your mistakes too,
You design a dream, you start anew.

Indeed this was, the enlightment for thyself,
When you saw it in you heart, to forgive yourself.
