Lucy POV

After about five minutes Natsu stood up and offered me a hand. I looked at it and took it, helping myself up.

He looked at me and i blushed and looked away.

I let go of his hand and said, "So Natsu."

"So Lucy."

"Why did you lie-"

"because you looked like you needed it." Then he whispered something so faint I thought he didn't say it.

I widen my eyes and Natsu smiles. "Wanna go to Erza and Jellal?"

I nod and faintly say, "Sure..."

He smiles and puts his hands behind his head. I walk after him pulling up my top and bottoms up. I caught up to Natsu and said, "Are we gonna make s'mores?"

He looks at me and says, "Never took you as a campfire type of gal."

I rolled my eyes. "Natsu."

"Lucy."

I looked at him and smirked my rugged smirk. "I guess i am digging the hole them."

Natsu gasped. "A girl is gonna dig?"

"Shut up before i drown you."

He laughs. "Okay." He says sarcastically.

I sigh and think, I have gotten soft.

"Ugh."

Natsu looked at me. "What?"

"Just thinking of different types of holes." I lie. I stop and say, "natsu do you by chance know where a shovel is?"

He grinned and said, "Follow me."

"No."

"Unless you w-"

"How do i know you won't do anything to me?"I ask, crossing my arms.

Natsu looked hurt. "luce i would never. Plus, you could kick my ass-"

"yes I could. Now take me to your shovels!"

laughing, Natsu agreed.

After we got the shovels from inside a rock, I decided where to dig. I slammed the shovel inside the ground and said, "here!"

Then I picked up some sand and pebbles and tossed it behind me. I dug in the shovel, slammed my foot on the edge, and brought out some packed together dirt.

"You are good at shoveling." Natsu snickered as if dirty thoughts were...that sicko.

"Well I have had practice burying people."I say cheerfully. Natsu looks at me and i say, "SO quit thinking like hat before i bury you."

Natsu nodded smirking and starting digging.

Not even 30 seconds in the digging natsu stopped and said, "Wait, how big is the hole going to be?"

"No clue." I said, and began dragging my shovel in a circle against the sand and i felt hands on m waist once i completed the circle.

I jumped and said, ''Let go before I punch you.''

Natsu laughs and whispers it again. A blush spread across my cheeks and he lets go.

"Since when did you become the flirtatious type of guy, Natsu?"A voice said behind us.

Natsu groaned, "Zerefff! Go away! this is my only chance of being away from you and H-"

"AYE!"

I laugh at natsu's glum expression and said, "STop growing mushrooms on your head. Now get digging."

The man with the black hair,Zeref I am guessing looked at me and said, "SO you are Lucy?"

I look at him, stabbing the ground with my shovel and looked at him. "What's it to you?"

Zeref laughed, putting his hands up. "Chillax little lady. Only asking."

"yeah, because natsu talks about you! Or should i say text? he s-"

"Happy can i talk to you for a second?"Natsu walked over to him, grabbing his ear.

"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow! Natsuuuu!"Happy whined.

natsu hid him from view and i turned around hearing yelps of pain and skin contact.

(hm....just realized how wrong that sounds ^)

I keep shoveling and Zeref come behind me and says, "he cares about you, you know."

I keep digging until the deepness is desired. "What? the guy barley knows me."

"He knows you better than you think Lucy."

I look back at him,startled. "What?"

His dark eyes look back at me and says, "he knows you a lot more than he lets on."

My eyes widen. Was he...Does...Do they know?

He looks at natsu and says, "He can be caring. Even though he is beating the life out of Happy, he still loves him. he takes care of you real good." Zeref looks at me from the corner of his eye and grins evilly. "i know what happened at that party."

I blush and say, "SHut up. He was just the closest person."

"Keep telling yourself that." He looked atNatsu and sighed. "He can take care of you, you know."

My eyes narrowed. "Wait a minute are you trying to hook us up?"

Zeref laughed and said, "How do you know?"

"I am not a helpless blond you know. I can help myself."I said, and continued digging. Flashbacks of the kiss mira 'accidently' made us do. the words Natsu said made me blush.

"Crrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap."I said.

i heard Zeref laugh. "Finally dawned to you, huh?"

"Yeah."

I look at Natsu and Happy who were walking back, Happy with multiple bumps on his head.

"Mira and the others are planning on hooking us up."

Zeref sighed. "How dense can you get? Well I tried my best Mira."

I looked at him and asked, "What did you say?" I gripped the shovel tighter and Zeref looked at me and yelped. "Um nothing Lucy!"

I walked towards him and said, "Mira hired you, didn't she?"

Zeref yelped and said, "happy! Time to gooooo!"

then he grabbed poor Happy and ran off. I glared after them and cursed.

"Fucking Mira!"I yell. Mira, hearing her name turns her head to me. I flip her off, and she nods, smiles and continues working with Laxus.

"What?"Natsu asked.

"Nothing. Just get digging."I growl. natsu nods, and stands behind me and began to dig the inside of the line.
