Turns out Alex and Bronya had waken up pretty damn early as they had waited for nearly an hour until Kiana and Mei both showed up in their battlesuits geared up and ready to go.

'I guess that's why they took that long.' Thought Alex as he got up and dusted himself off.

"So, you two finally ready?"

"Yes. Sorry for the delay Alex. I would've been herr earlier, but..." Mei then pointed at Kiana casting the blame on her.

"H-Hey! I said I was sorry okay!? You know I'm a late sleeper!" Shouted the white haired Valkyrie in response.

"Yeah but you had 5 alarms to wake you up. All spaced apart by 5 minutes. NONE woke you up." Said Mei as a counterargument.

At that, Kiana had kept quiet as Alex sighed.

"The Bronya isn't suprised by Idiotka's laziness."

Kiana immediately got up and immediately was face to face with the android and had a stare down.

"Um, are they, okay?" Asked Alex to Mei as the girl giggled a little.

"Yes they're fine Alex. They're always like this."

"I-I see."

After a few more minutes of staring down, Mei walked over and broke it up easily.

'I guess she's also used to this.'

The group of four walked over to the boarding station where Himeko was waiting for the mission debriefing.

"Seems you three are finally ready. Apologies if you weren't expecting this Alex."

"It's fine. I'm used to sudden mission anyways."

"Excellent. For a second I was worried cause it was my idea." Said the red head with a chuckle.

'Of course it was her idea.' Alex mentally cursed out Himeko.

"Anyways, listen up you three. Alex will be your guest partner for today so make sure he doesn't get majorly harmed under our care. We have a partnership to keep safe."

The three girls nodded.

"Excellent. Continuing on, this task assigned to you by Principal Theresa herself so best make sure it gets done."

Himeko went on to explain the task which was a simple chase and take down some bandits and criminals on the run.

Very simple by Alex's standards but then again, it was the first time he'd be working with these people. He didn't know what they did on a daily basis so it be reasonable for them to pick something simple.

With a few more final words, the four stood at pods that were set to bring them to the ground.

If only Alex knew how they had gotten sent down before hand.

They were quite literally launched down to the ground.

The three girls landed just fine. Alex faceplanted.

The three immediately went to check up on Alex who just got up and dusted himself.

"Maybe warn me about that next time."

"S-Sorry Alex." Said Mei.

Kiana tried her best not to laugh at the faceplant while Bronya kept her monotone expression while looking at Alex.

"Subject Alex seems to have suffered minor nasal damage. Allow The Bronya to disinfect it."

"U-Um, sure."

After a little moment of Bronya assessing Alex's minor damage, it was done and the four all went into the forest.

Funnily enough, it was the same exact forest Alex had planned to rest at before he was taken aboard so it caught him off guard that criminals and bandits were hiding here.

After a nice time of walking through the forest, they found the first bandit.

And they're attention was directed towards Alex.

"I-it's you! The Demon Child! That bounty is mine!"

"H-Hey listen buddy. Now's not a good time for this!"

"Like hell it is! A million bucks are mine!" The bandit charged for only a second until Bronya simply blasted him away with her cannon.

"Bandit 1. Terminated."

"Hey. What was that creepy old man referring to when he said 1 million dollars?" Asked Kiana to Alex with him giving a shrug.

"To put it simple, I got a $1 Million death bounty on my head. Been going for about, I wanna say, 5 years now."

"So, your saying if I were to kill you I'd get a billion dollars?" Asked the fish.

"Um, yeah. Why ask?"

Before Kiana could respond, Mei just smacked her in the head.

"She's just joking Alex. Aren't you Kiana?" Mei gave a intimidating smile that even Alex could feel as threatening.

Kiana seemed to agree as well as she immediately agreed with Mei.

After a bit, more and more bandits had been taken out and soon they were mostly done.

They all decided to take a moment to relax and rest.

The three girls sat near a tree as Alex sat up on top of a branch.

"You not gonna relax down here?" Asked Mei.

"I like resting on branches. It's a habit I've had as a child."

"What a strange habit." Said Kiana.

"I know it is but I like it."

Alex slowly closed his eyes and was prepared to sleep for a bit.

That was until suddenly, Mei jumped up and grabbed Alex away from the branch as something massive had taken down the tree and was currently clashing with Bronya.

"What the hell's happening!?"

"Crap. Why're they are?"

"Who's what here?"

The dust settled and Bronya was knocked back to reveal a large white beast with purple lines glowing.

"T-That's a Honkai Beast!" Shouted Kiana.

"Honkai, Beast?"

"A Honkai Beast shouldn't be all the way out here."

Mei drawed out her sword and coated it in electricity.

Kiana followed suit taking out her two handguns and Bronya simply got her cannon ready.

This, Honkai Beast growled and slowly crawled forward.

The standoff was tense.

It was if the Honkai Beast knew who it was gonna target, cause in a split second, it dashes threw the three girls so quickly, the wind speed and knocked them back.

It then jumped back into a portal it had made on its own.

The theee were shocked.

But, Mei eventually caught onto what was happening.

"Alex!' She shouted.

But by the time he heard Mei, it was too late.

The Honkai Heast, in a matter of seconds, appeared behind and gave a deep slash on Alex's back.

Blood was spilt onto the floor as Alex fell forward and laid down bleeding out.

His vision was slowly fading along with his hearing.

He wasn't dying. Just passing out.

Though, the last thing he heard, was a sudden shout of agony, and then the last thing he saw, was her.
