"Fear not m'lady."

But what I found was not Asmodeus, but Alvad, with his sun coloured eyes staring straight into my eyes a smirk vusible on his face, once dirty-blond hair was now pitch-black and messier than before. . . Yet somehow his aura seemed far more different . . . More powerful . . . And ten-times more demonic. "Who are you?" I questioned, cautiously drawing out one of my daggers, and twirled it around to stretch my finger muscles.

"Tech, your really haven't learned much about shadow souls," he chuckled half-heartedly, before vanishing into the shadows of the tired garden. "Honestly, he is such a naive boy! So much love for his mother, and hate for those who hurt her. Poor kid, corrupting him wasn't too hard, especially with his magic power not being that high. His body is fine I guess, though I think you agree black suits him more."

I glared at him, a vengeful spirit dominating the body of a low magic weilding demon . . . That cannot be possible . . . It should not be. "That expression of yours really is something," his voice brushed against my ear, as I felt him resting his hands and chin over my shoulder. "Hmm, are you still frightened of the war you will bring?"

I turned my face towards him. His small  nose was only an inch away, and glowing-golden-eyes glistening with mischief and insanity. The sight of him sent chills down my spine. Half of his body was shrouded among the shadows . . . This demon was not one  . . . But two, and Alvad was part of him now. " Lair, who are you?" I asked again sternly.

"Ah you didn't fall for it . . . Not surprised. I'm still Alvad, as simple and surprising as it is," he smirked and slided one of his hands over the centre of my curse, the nap of my neck. "I might not have been born powerful as the seven demon brothers, but shadow souls surprisingly have their benefits as well."

"What are you talking about?"the demon smirked at my question, before tracing the curse mark on my neck.

"Devildom is the survival of the fiercest, Yuna," his gaze was captivating." Shadows souls are like new born wolf cubs, the higher ranked demons are like alphas, but as the cubs grow, they watch and learn . . . To surpass the alphas. The difference in our case is that the shadow souls are trying to consume the students at the campus by ambushing then in large numbers, but I thankfully got attacked by only one. His essence was quite satisfying to devour."

"Ambush . . . ?!" Before I could finish my sentence, he bit my neck harshly without any warning. I held in my scream, before swiftly pulling away and lashing my dagger at him. He insatantly vanished back into the darkness, before reappearing in front of me, and that was when I noticed Satan standing there, at the garden's entrance with his emerald eyes wide in shock.  He saw it all. "Well Well, look at who it is Yuna!" Alvad cooed, twirling around  to face the blond demon, with his smug smirk still plastere dover his face . "It's nice seeing you again Satan, but I'm afraid my visit will be short . . . After all, I just stopped by to pick up someone."

Alvad clicked his fingers, a small amount of back shadows circling them, before vanishing. Gripping my knife, I pressed it against the black-haired demon's neck. "I don't know your rigged game Alvad, but this is as far as you go," I hissed, but he dis not seemed fazed at all, unlike the first time I met him.

"Ow Yuna, you wouldn't do that," his words sent chills through my bones, and the bite mark he left on me burned in response.

It was getting hard to breath , stand, or even focus on the situation. "Ow yeah, forgot to mention that I devoured a shadow soul a while earlier, so that bite might have . . . Seeped in some corrupted magic into your blood, like poison. "

Damn fool! I coughed against the pain in my chest, until I took notice of blood dripping from my mouth. Crap. Falling to the ground I saw a pair for eyes stare at me in fear, and the intense hissing rising into my ears. "Ow dear, that looks painful," I could hear Alvad sarcastically comment, as he crouched next to me, and titled my chin up to face him as he wore a sadistic expression with his lips curled into a small-smile . "At least now, the Realms will fall to the rise if the reincarnated version of the Lunalight tribe and suffering souls, wouldn't that be beautiful, m'lady?"

"Your a real pain you that?" I snapped, just as I felt the thin string if holy magic getting cut off completely. Then I heard them, the deafening screeches and screams of shadow souls raining from the sky.

"Fear not m'lady
For the three realms shall fall before you."
