A Pilot's Dread
The smoke rose increasingly thicker. I could no longer make out the blue sky, the war machines on it, and the vast ocean below us. I was about to faint, as the flames were licking up my boots. My cockpit was stuck. I was doomed to crash with this burning wreck. And an emergency landing in the water was impossible. Because the fighter behind me played safe. Machine gun noises once again. I lost one of my wings and started circling. The dizziness also pushed me out of life. And all I was thinking about now – my wife, my children.
