It was a Friday night so of course there were many parties happening. You and your best friend Edward decided to go to one of them instead of just sitting around.

"Are you almost ready y/n?" Edward asked as he was walking around your room looking at random stuff. You were in the bathroom connected to your room as you were finishing up. You looked in the mirror one last time as you smoothed out your outfit, perfect for a party.

"Yes I'm ready!" You called back. You reached for the door and opened it. As you entered the room Edward was standing in front of your bed facing you. He was mesmerized by you, looking you up and down speechless.

"Edward?" You gave him a concerned look but felt your cheeks heat up as well. He was your best friend but also your crush, as well as you were his best friend and crush. Neither of you knew how the other felt though and didn't want to ruin the friendship.

"You're beautiful" Edward whispered as he slowly sat down on your bed still staring at you. You looked down at the ground as you smiled before an idea popped into your head.

You decided to take a chance as a wave of confidence overcame you. You walked over to Edward and pulled him up by his arms. When he got to his feet, without a second later, you meet his lips with yours.

It took Edward back by surprise but he didn't pull away. He only leaned deeper into the kiss while a smile made its way into the kiss.

"You have no idea how long I've been waiting for that" Edward breathlessly said as the two of you pulled away from the kiss. There were butterflies in your stomach and your heart pounded knowing Edward felt the same towards you as you felt towards him.

Edward slipped his arms around your waist as he pulled you in for another kiss, one just as passionate as before. Everything felt right at that moment as the two of you kissed in the middle of your room.
