It took you forever to get out of bed this morning.

As a means of distracting yourself from the conversation with Mr 742 last night, you fell down a giant hole watching 'BTS on crack' videos on Youtube and didn't end up going to bed until 2am.

Curse these boys for being so hilariously amazing...

They're taking over my life and there's nothing I can do about it...

Hitting the snooze button on your alarm like a natural reflex, you let out a loud groan before pulling the blankets off your head and tumbling out of the comfort of your warm bed.

You let out an involuntary hiss as soon as the piercing sunlight from your bedroom window burned into you like hellfire.

Mornings never were your strong point.

Your mind always being a fuzzy mess in the morning, you forgot that you'd only snoozed the alarm rather than switching it off entirely, as it rang loudly once more at a deafening pitch. It was then that your eyes focused properly on your phone screen and you noticed you had one notification.

The nerve of this boy!

He knew I was sleeping!!

Despite that, you wasted no time in pulling up his chat screen.

You quickly tossed your phone away, not wanting to spend another morning running the whole way to work. 

As you got ready, your eyes nearly rolled to the back of your head at the thought of all the extra effort you'd been putting into your appearance ever since your 'Genius' started acting up.

If it weren't for that jerk, maybe I could have slept in longer...

But none the less, you secretly liked all the extra attention he was giving to you. You just weren't ready to admit it yet.

As soon as you walked into the cafe, you were met by Ji-eun who was arranging the tables at the front of the shop.

She let out a giant yawn as she looked up at you, setting down the pile of napkins on the table.

"Glad I'm not the only one who looks like hell this morning!" She let out with a satisfied smirk.

"Yah! Who are you talking about! At least I put in some effort!" you glared back at your best friend, crashing your hands to your hips.

"Well what's this then?" she said as she walked over to you and poked at the large bags under your eyes. "Don't tell me! You stayed up all night talking to your mysterious coffee guy?! How cutee!"

"No way! It's not like that at all!" you piped up, slapping her hand away from your face as if you were actually trying to convince yourself instead.

Over the next half hour, Ji-eun managed to pry your phone away from you and convince you to let her read your conversations with your 'Genius'.

"Yah! He's totally flirting with you and you're feeding it right back to him! How could you be so oblivious!?" Ji-eun broke the silence, flicking you across the forehead.

"As if! He's probably just playing with me! I'm not stupid enough to fall for that..." you paused for a moment, secretly hoping that your words weren't true.

Ji-eun must have caught your expression at the end, scrunching up her eyebrows in slight concern over how vulnerable she could see you were feeling.

"(Y/N), you'll never know unless you actually give it a chance," she said softly putting her hand on your shoulder.

"But what if he ends up the same as Lee Seung-hyun-"

"It's humanly impossible for anyone to top that asshole for idiot-of-the-century! Besides, I have a good feeling about this one!" Ji-eun swiftly cut you off to offer you some good hard reassurance.

"We don't know that... We don't even know his name, or what he looks like without that mask on!" You pouted in response, Ji-euns words not quite reaching through to you.

"That's true, but still I think this could be good for you!" She said as she grabbed you by the shoulders and shook you, as if trying to physically knock some sense into you. 

"Ever since that royal ass-hat, you've kept to yourself. You haven't talked to anyone or been on a proper date in almost a year now!"

Maybe she's right...

You stared down at your feet momentarily, coming to terms with the hard truth she was serving you. 

"Tell me what I should do," you finally answered, looking back up at her with slight hesitation. 

"Honestly, just enjoy it! It's been sooo long and I'm so happy for you!" Ji-eun squealed out in over-excitement.

"Try and get to know each other some more and try not to worry! And if anything bad happens, he'll have me to deal with!" She finished, flexing her biceps and punching the air in front of her. 

Letting out a loud chuckle, you were so happy to have a friend like Ji-eun in your life. After all, she was probably right, but the more you reflected on her words of wisdom, you felt your cheeks heat up and your body sweat at the crazy idea of you and Mr 742.

Which reminded you...

Your head slowly rolled up to the clock above you and your eyes immediately grew wide as they read what time it was. 

7:44am.

When did you first start following BTS and what's your favourite era of theirs so far? ^^

I've been following BTS since early 2016. After that, I got (and still get) so hypnotized by their Blood Sweat & Tears MV when it came out later that year.
(Although I completely adore all of their eras!)
