Jess Mariano when he had driven the car,and caused a car crash,with you in the passengers seat.

Luke approached Jess,the boy pulling the cigarette from his mouth. "I made sure (y/n) was okay."

Luke's hands slid into his pocket,debating to tell the boy. " I know you did. So does,(y/n)." Jess didn't look up,Luke approaching him. "How do you know?"

"Because I know you Jess." Jess's head snapped up,seeing you behind his uncle. "(Y/N)..."

You smiled at him. Then sitting next next to him. "I'm okay." He scanned you,seeing your arm in a cast,you followed his eyes,his eyes staying on your arm.  You held it up,smiling and deciding to make a joke. "I've always wanted to say I've gotten an serious injury in a fight. You should have seen the fight,Jess. The guy,was like,four hundred more pines than me. And I don't mean to brag,but's he's the one in the hospital."

Jess didn't laugh at your joke,now lowering his head to face the water. "I'm sorry,(y/n)." You breathed out,knowing that no matter how many jokes you made,Jess wouldn't laugh or feel any better. "You know what you could do to make it up to me?"

Jess looked at you,his words leaving before he had any time to think of your-or Luke's-reaction. "Leave Stars Hallow?" Both you and Luke jumped,saying 'no!'. You breathed out,sending a look to Luke and mouth 'give us a minute?'. Luke nodded,taking a few steps away,being behind the bushes and trees that surrounded the lake.

You turned back to him,poking his shoulder with your opposite hand. "No,of course not. You are one of the only people I like here. I meant,let's go find the biggest (f/f) cake and see who could eat the most in five minutes! But,if you must know,I hold the record in the town. Although the Gilmore's hold the record for most consumed coffee in twenty-four hours."

At that,Jess chuckled,making you smile. "You should stay. I want to you stay." Jess looked up,about to say how nobody in this town wanted him here. "I.."

Jess looked over,waiting for you to finish the sentence. "I need for you to stay. You are the only person in the town that isn't crazy." He glanced at you,raising at eyebrow. "Or at least,the crazy that would qualify as signing into a mental hospital."

Jess laughed again,smiling at you. "Yeah,cause,that's you." You turned to him,she narrow. "Do you want to be pushed into the lake?" Jess's smile never left. "I'd bring you down with me." You squinted,your face close to his. "You wouldn't dare."
