The world got to her before she ever got the chance to sit on top of it.
She was isolated in a room where her thoughts haunted her and truthfully, she thought that she would go deaf from the screaming and the voices inside her head. She wished she'd die, but she was already dead. So there was no point in wishing.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
The sound of droplets made her trip on imaginary oceans that filled the room. And drown.
Pound. Pound. Pound.
Her heartbeat thumped a deafening sound against her chest.
White. White. White.
The color of the walls filled her eyes with the sheer sight of something as hypnotizing as time.
Tick. Tick. Tock.
The sound of the clock wouldn't shut up.
And as much as she tried, time would still pass by but stop at the same time. Because she walked. But she got nowhere. And she dreamed. But the moon didn't rise. She talked to strangers. And made no conversations. Because no one had been there. Only the voices inside her head screaming loudly, making her ears bleed and her eyes roll back in her head. And when she went off to bed she would see who the voices belonged to in her dreams.
But she rarely had dreams. Because most of her life was a nightmare.
Then the feelings came. They came to the person who was used to feeling nothing.
She wanted someone there.
She wanted someone to love. She wanted someone to hold. She wanted someone to tell her thoughts to and let her thoughts be told. She wanted someone to kill just for fun. And just for the feeling of curiosity...
Curiosity led nowhere good.
She wanted someone to kill. She wanted to kill the voices in her head. Puncture their hearts and make their wounds hers, because they were hers in the first place. The blood they drew came from her veins. The thoughts they thought made her insane.
The voices died.
But she died with them.
