Ch 11: Rose
At that time, I didn't gave it much thought...
When Cami actually ended up dead, I thought it was just a mere coincidence because that was only a minor part of my dream, that took place in reality. But that doubt has now evolved into a resolute certainty.
I guess it wasn't just a dream after all... because, as I'm right here with him, the events are unfolding just as I saw in the dream that night!

After spending days on the fashion week damage control, me and my team had finally achieved a sense of stability. The day went on peacefully as I cross checked all the details with the team. Ensuring that everything aligned perfectly for the grand event.
As the evening approached, a prior engagement awaited me. I was set to attend Martin's birthday party, an established music composer and singer with whom I shared a well-acquainted connection.
This party would become my sweet escape from the constant demands of the fashion world.
I decided to get off work early to prepare for the party. The soft glow of the early evening sunlight bathed the city, as I drove back home.
Entering through the large doors of my penthouse, the deep blue roses on the center table caught my attention. They were freshly arranged by the maids earlier this morning — blue roses symbolise miracle. A miracle that I've worked so hard for all this time!
Climbing the stairs to my bedroom, I walked straight into my closet and pulled out a dress that echoed the richness of the roses, the aqua blue color blended sophistication with a touch of mystery.
After dressing up, I was putting on a beautiful pair of crystal earrings, when the soft chime of my phone signaled a message from Shawn. "Are you there yet?"
Taking a moment from my reflection in the mirror, I replied, "I'm just about to leave, see you at the party."
Shawn's response was swift, "I'll be waiting."
As I stepped out of the car, the evening air gently tousled my hair as I surveyed the venue. Rich, warm scents of fresh flowers and the soft glow of golden lights complemented the vibrant atmosphere, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration.
Inside the venue, the air was filled not only with laughter but also with the tantalizing aroma of exquisite cuisine.
The walls adorned with deep hues and intricate patterns added to the visual spectacle, creating a luxurious backdrop for the festivities. The soulful melodies played in the background, filling the ambiance with a soft symphony that wrapped the guests in a sense of warmth and nostalgia.
Martin, spotted me from afar and greeted me warmly, as I walked up to him. "Rose, you made it! I knew I couldn't celebrate without you."
Gracefully accepting the welcome, I replied, "Wouldn't miss it for the world. Happy Birthday Martin!"
In the midst of bustling birthday bash. Laughter and melodies surrounded Shawn, Martin, and their intimate circle of renowned friends. Shawn's laughter filled the air while I indulged myself in lively conversations with other guests.
Observing Shawn's radiant bliss among the crowd, I couldn't help but feel a sting of curiosity. As I searched for a glimpse of Shawn in the middle of the crowd, he had already vanished into thin air, a fleeting mystery in the sea of guests.
My curiosity was getting out of control, and I decided to slip away, excusing myself discreetly. Walking into the corridor, my wistfulness for Shawn was laced with an unexplainable urgency.
Suddenly, a collision disrupted my search, strong arms enveloping me in an embrace. Startled, I pushed the man away, only to realize that it was Shawn, his charm was enhanced by the rosy glow of tipsiness.
"Shawn, what on earth?" I scolded playfully, steadying myself, as I guided him to a quieter spot on the second floor.
Seated on the plush sofa, the solitude surrounded us like a soft cocoon. Shawn, the only company in this intimate setting, sat beside me, as the air became thick with unspoken tension.
Shawn glanced at me with a boyish grin. "You're a hard one to catch tonight, Rose."
"Well, you're not the easiest to find either, disappearing into thin air," I responded playfully.
Shawn chuckled, a dazed grin gracing his features. "Apologies for my escapade. The night seemed to carry me away."
I giggled softly. "Maybe we just needed a break from the chaos downstairs."
Shawn's tipsy antics seemed to have taken over as he took my hands, holding them against his cheeks. "You're warm! Much better than those cold drinks downstairs."
What's going on, why does it all seems so familiar...? Wait! Isn't this just like that dream? I was confused, my mind was already calculating all the possibilities for this ridiculous turn of events.
Despite that, I maintained my composure, pretending as if, I couldn't help but laugh at Shawn's adorable behavior. "You're something else, Shawn. Enjoying the party a bit too much, aren't you?"
Shawn's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Just a bit! But you make it better. Your hands are like little warm blankets."
Amused by Shawn's childlike glee, I played along, gently pulling my hands away. "I'm glad my hands are of service."
Our conversation bounced between giggles and heartfelt exchanges, two contrasting worlds finding a unique connection in this unexpected moment.
"You're so cool, Rose," Shaw said, his words seemed sincere despite the tipsiness.
I grinned, touched by his candidness. "You're not so bad yourself."
Our banter was interrupted by the distant sounds of music and laughter drifting into the lounge. I glanced toward the open doors leading back to the party hall.
"Looks like the party's still going strong," I observed.
Shawn nodded, a hint of disappointment crossing his features. "I should probably head back before they start a search party for me."
Now, with each event mirroring the scenes of my dream, a strange sense of certainty washes over me. It's as if reality itself is following the script of my subconscious creation.
In this surreal moment, I realized I held the power to mold this unfolding narrative into a masterpiece. With careful adjustments and subtle tweaks, I can shape each detail to perfection.
I rose gracefully, smiling at Shawn's adorable antics. "It was fun spending time with you, Shawn."
Shawn pouted playfully. "Don't go just yet!"
Oh! I don't plan on letting go of this golden opportunity, darling! I thought to myself.
With a soft chuckle, I gently extracted myself from Shawn's grasp, and started walking towards the balcony. Leaning against the railings, I heard his footsteps follow me.
As the moonlight painted a mesmerizing backdrop, Shawn and I, seeking solace from the festivities, engaged in a light conversation. The serenity added depth to our interaction.
"You know," Shawn began, his voice laced with a hint of playful tipsiness, "I always find the moonlight sorta magical."
I chuckled softly. "Yeah, it has this way of making everything look... different."
Shawn's gaze, softened by the moon's radiance, lingered on me as if tracing something delicate "You know," he began, his voice carrying a tone of genuine admiration, "You look even more sexy in the moonlight."
A smile embraced my lips, as I asked, "Are you sure that's not just the effect of the drinks, Shawn?"
He chuckled, his cheeks tinged with a soft flush. "I promise, no liquid courage involved in this observation."
Amidst the peaceful moment, our eyes met in a silent exchange of emotions.
In a tender gesture, Shawn reached out, his fingertips grazing a stray strand of my hair, gently tucking it behind my ear. A subtle intimacy hung in the air, enveloping us.
"You have no idea," Shawn murmured, his voice barely audible above the night's whispers, "How captivating you are, Rose."
My breath hitched as Shawn leaned in, a gentle longing lingering between us.
"Shawn..." I breathed, my eyes tracing his every movement.
In that suspended moment, Shawn's lips met mine in a tender and fleeting kiss.
When our lips parted, a thrilling sensation swept over me. Once again, I witnessed my dream unfolding as reality, but this time, it was as if I was holding the strings of this twisted puppet show.
