"Carla! Go answer the door!" Uncle Mike called from his office. "Alright!" I said getting off the phone with Christian, which is my trig teacher and new man if you forgot.

I went down to answer the door and there was Ne Ne at the door. I swear I want to look like her. She walked in and hugged me. "My favorite cuz. How are you?" she asked.

"Im good." I said back

"Oh keep the door open." she said

"Why?"

"Because....there was someone you wanted to meet...remember?" she said smiling. I smiled and got the hint. Ne Ne brought her girlfriend here from college to meet the family. She walked in to go find Aunt Jen and Uncle Mike and I just waited at the door.

Just then a preppy looking dude walked up to the doorstep. Her hair was cut like a guy's and it looked like she had no chest. "Hi." she said smiling. She had a bottle of wine in her hand and I just stared at her.

"Hi. Come on in" I said letting her pass. I closed the door and we walked to the kitchen. They were all settled and the girl walked over to Ne Ne. She looked so happy with her girlfriend it was cute.

"Mom...Dad....this is Sam....my girlfriend." she said smiling wide. Sam got up and presented herself to my aunt and uncle like a gift. They analyzed her and my aunt, really friendly and open to anything shook her hand.

"Hello. Nice to meet you Sam." she said smiling. I looked at uncle Mike with hat on and just looking at the whole scene. I wanted to laugh because he looked confused.

"Hello sir." she said holding her hand out to him. We all looked at him waiting to meet Sam's hand. Damn for a minute you would think uncle Mike left her cold. He finally shook her hand and said 'how do you do'.

I felt a flow of relief in the kitchen. Everyone got settled and uncle Mike was asking question after question.

"So whats your major?"

"Biochemistry"

"Whats your hometown?"

"Im from Maine"

"Interesting. What are your intentions with my daughter?"

Sam smiled and sat up to face my uncle. "Sir...I love your daughter with all my heart. She's a wonderful person inside and out and I want to marry her." she said getting on her knees.

We all gasped and uncle Mike looked like he was going to keel over. Ne Ne gasped and couldn't contain that smile on her face. "Oh baby!" she said with a tear that ran down her eye.

"Cateleya....will you marry me?" Sam asked, reaching into her pocket and pulling out and ring that was looking so good.

 "YES YES YES!!! OH SAM!!" NeNe said jumping up and down. Uncle miek had a pissed look on his face like the proposal was disrespectful. Aunt jen was smiling and she said congrats.

"This calls for some cake!" aunt Jen said getting up. We all sat and NeNe kissed Sam in front of us. "I have to go look over some lyrics." uncle Mike said pissed.

Ne Ne's expression turned from happy to sad when Mike got up. I could understand because he completely blew her and Sam off. Ne Ne got up and ran upstairs crying. Sam tried to run after her but was unsuccessful.

Jen came back in with the cake by then. "Where's everyone?"

"Uncle mike left and Ne Ne is in her room crying." I said sadly

"He is so bad at understanding. Let me go talk to him. Sam can you please go talk to Ne Ne for me?" Jen asked

Sam nodded and they both headed in their directions. I decided to cut my own piece of cake.
