It felt like Saturday took forever to finally come around, but when it did I was practically running around my house because I was so excited.

I had the same feeling in the pit of my stomach that I used to get all those months ago, when Ashton and I first started talking to each other. I actually liked it, because the nervous feeling in my stomach proved to me that I still loved Ashton just as much (maybe even a little more) as I did before.

I was walking through my kitchen, about to go upstairs to begin getting ready for my date with Ashton tonight, when I almost ran head on into my mother.

"Oh, hi." I said, startled from her suddenly appearing.

"Hi." She said, barely glancing up at me. She walked past me and further into the kitchen, stopping at the island. "We're going out tonight, so your father is going to leave you some - "

"I'm going out tonight too." I blurted out, because there was just no way I could possibly keep this a secret, even from my mom. I was too excited.

"Oh, with who?" My mom asked, raising her eyebrows at me. I hadn't gone out in a while, so I could tell why she was surprised.

"Um..." I said slowly, wondering if I should just lie about it. I decided to tell her, because I didn't want to keep this whole war between us over Ashton going forever. I wanted to put an end to it, and I figured that now was a good time to do so. "I'm going out with Ashton."

My mom looked up suddenly, a surprised look on her face at my mention of Ashton. "Ashton. Really?"

"Yeah." I nodded, taking a step back, just in case I needed to make a break for it and run out of the room.

"I thought you and Ashton broke up?" She asked.

"We did, for a while actually, but we're trying things again." I said softly, looking down at the floor. I should have just lied, I should have just told my mom that I was going out to Brooke's house or that I was going to get something to eat with Luke.

"Oh." Was all my mom said. She looked back down at her phone, like she was trying to ignore me. I started to walk out of the kitchen, feeling as if this conversation was over now.

Before I was able totally escape my dad walked in, almost bumping into me as well. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing's - "

"Danielle is seeing Ashton Irwin again." My mom interrupted, not letting me speak for myself.

"Oh." My dad said, his eyes getting wide.

I was getting pretty fed up now, because I couldn't understand why my parents wouldn't just accept the fact that I really loved Ashton and he loved me. I knew that they were just trying to protect me, but it was getting out of hand now. It was annoying me how I felt that I had to keep my relationship with Ashton a secret just because I knew that my parents wouldn't like it.

"Can I say something?" I asked, my heart already beating faster than normal at how nervous I was.

"Go ahead." My mom said bitterly, still staring down at her phone, it was like she was glued to it.

"So I know that both of you are just scared because I'm dating Ashton, considering what's happened in the past, but I'm getting really tired of how you treat him. I totally understand, really, that you just want to protect me because I'm your little girl and you don't want me to get hurt." I said slowly, still scared that I was going to get yelled at for saying this. "You just need to understand that I know what I'm doing, and you may think that it's a bad choice for me to be with Ashton but it's my choice, not yours."

Both of my parents were silent and staring right at me, instead of at their phones for once. I couldn't tell if they were angry or not, because with them being quiet like that it could really mean anything. I didn't know what else to do, so I kept talking.

"I'll always be around, and I'll always be your little girl, but you can't try and control every move I make. I have a boyfriend, and I'm planning to have one for a really long time, so there's no use in either of you trying to talk me out of it." I said, still scared at the way that neither of my parents had said anything yet. "I know that you're scared because I'm in love with a boy and I'm growing up, but if you really loved me you'd just be happy for me. Right?"

"You're right." My mom finally spoke, surprising both me and my dad. Neither of us expected her to be the first one to speak, much less say something like that.

"Really?" I asked, thinking for a second that she was just being mean and joking about it.

"Really." My mom nodded, repeating what I'd just said. "We shouldn't have made this whole thing into such a big deal, we should have just been happy that you'd finally found someone that you really love and care about."

I didn't say anything, because I was still scared that my mom was just going to laugh in my face and say that she was kidding. I hadn't expected her to even agree with me, I'd just wanted her to give up and stop arguing with me about Ashton every chance she got.

"Ashton's a great boy, really, and I think your mother and I were just worried because of what you said, his past. We didn't focus on what really mattered, which is the fact that he loves you and you love him." My dad finally spoke up, and for once he wasn't just agreeing with what my mom said and leaving the room like he normally tried to.

"So..." I said slowly, not sure how to respond to all of this.

"So if you want to date Ashton, then that's fine. You're right, you're growing up, and we can't try to protect you from everything anymore." My mom said, a smile barely etching itself onto her lips. I thought that I was imagining this, I didn't think that I would ever see the day that my mom was actually okay with me and Ashton being together.

"Mom, really?" I asked, almost in a whisper. I finally took a few steps closer to her, unable to hold myself back. "Do you really mean that?"

"I do." My mom nodded, seeming confused at the way I was acting. I gave in and walked up to her, wrapping my arms around her giving her a big hug. I just couldn't not hug her, I was so happy that she'd finally accepted me being in a relationship with Ashton.

"Thank you." I smiled, not knowing what else to say. I moved to my dad and hugged him too, because I knew that he was probably also having a hard time as well. I was his little girl, I knew that he didn't like seeing me grow up like this either.

"Now go get ready for your date." My mom said, startling me even more. "I'll call you down when Ashton gets here."

I smiled again and basically skipped out of the kitchen, running up the stairs and into my room. I almost wanted to call Ashton and tell him what had just happened, but I decided not to, because he'd probably enjoy it more if I told him in person.

So instead of getting my phone out and calling Ashton I went over to my closet and began to pick out an outfit for tonight, which I had a feeling was going to be a very good night.

-

"Goodbye, Mr. and Mrs. Murphy," Ashton said, waving to my parents as he shut the front door behind him. "I'll be sure to stop by for dinner sometime soon."

"Bye Mom, bye Dad." I said, giving them both a small wave and smile.

"Bye, Dani. Have fun tonight." My mom said after me, and I wondered if I had actually heard her correctly.

I slowly turned around, facing both of my parents again. "Did you just call me Dani?"

"That's your name, isn't it?" My mom chuckled.

I didn't say anything else to her because I felt that words weren't even needed, I just smiled and turned away again, continuing to walk behind Ashton.

"Thank you guys for everything, bye!" Ashton smiled at my parents, waving to them another time.

"Goodbye, Ashton, we'll see you later." My dad waved back to Ashton again, locking the door behind us.

Ashton had just come by to pick me up, and my parents felt that it would be a good time to officially apologize to him for everything that happened in the past few months. It was nice, really, the four of us had a big heart to heart about everything, and by the time Ashton walked out of there it was like him and my parents were best friends.

"That was so nice of them." Ashton laughed, a big smile on his face as he searched around in his pockets with his free hand. His other had was currently holding on to mine, our fingers laced together.

"I think my mom actually likes you now." I laughed with him, walking the rest of the way down the driveway. I began to turn and walk the way that I thought we were supposed to be going, but Ashton pulled me in the other direction, towards his house.

"I think she would have liked me all along if she had just given me a chance." Ashton shrugged, pulling me closer to him for a second. He kissed me quickly on the forehead. "You look beautiful, by the way."

"Thank you." I blushed. I'd tried not to get too dressed up since I didn't really know where Ashton was planning to take me, so I just wore a casual dress and some boots like I normally did.

"I can't wait to take that dress off of you, though." Ashton chuckled, finally finding his cigarettes and lighter in his pocket and lighting it for himself.

"Ashton!" I laughed. I stepped away from him a little, only to have Ashton pull me back to him again.

"I'm not kidding." Ashton joked. "Your parents said they'd be out until late tonight, didn't they?"

"Yes..." I said slowly, still blushing a little. Of course I knew that Ashton and I'd had sex before, but I felt like now it would be really different. Everything with Ashton felt different now, and I hoped that this was a good thing.

"Good." Ashton laughed, playfully blowing some smoke out into my face like he always did when he tried to annoy me.

"Stop it." I whined, waving my hand in front of my face, trying to get the smoke away from me.

"Baby." Ashton pouted, leaning in closer to me. He quickly pecked my lips, as if that was his way of apologizing. "I'm sorry."

"Fine, I forgive you." I joked, accepting his apology. "Where are we going?" I asked, realizing that we were literally walking down a dead end street.

"On our date..." Ashton spoke slowly, like it was stupid of me to have even asked that question.

"But - "

"I need to show you something." Ashton mumbled, looking down at the ground.

We were at his house now, standing in the driveway. He turned and handed me his cigarette momentarily, reaching into his pockets again.

I took a drag from his cigarette and waited for Ashton to find whatever he was looking for. Finally he pulled something out of his pocket and grabbed my hand with his free one, leading me over to the car parked in the driveway.

"Ashton..." I said carefully, already having an idea of what he was doing. I heard a small beep, signaling that the doors were now unlocked. Ashton opened the passenger side door for me, gesturing for me to sit down.

"It'll be fine." Ashton said, leaning in and kissing me quickly on the lips again. "I've been practicing."

"Are you sure?" I asked, slowly sitting down. Ashton took the cigarette out of my hands and took one last drag from it, dropping in onto the ground and crushing it with his foot. He shut the door for me before walking around to the other side, getting into the drivers seat.

"Michael even got in the car with me the other day, we drove around the block a few times." Ashton said excitedly.

I could tell that he was really excited about this, I knew that he had really been wanting to drive again since the accident, and it was something that he'd been working hard to try and do again.

"Was he okay?" I asked. Most of the time Michael couldn't even ride the bus to school without quietly crying to himself, I couldn't imagine how he'd act in the car.

"He was alright." Ashton shrugged, not sounding very sure of himself. "After a while, he eventually calmed down."

"That's good." I said, nervously watching Ashton fumble around with the car keys and finally get the proper one into the ignition, starting the car.

"Are you scared?" Ashton whispered, turning to look at me. He hadn't started to drive yet, I was still waiting for him to back down the driveway.

"Not really." I shrugged, half lying, half not. "Are you?"

"I'm so scared, Murphy." Ashton said quietly. He held out his hand, and he didn't even have to say anything for me to know that he wanted me to hold it. I took his hand in mine, intertwining our fingers together.

"You can do this." I said encouragingly, bringing Ashton's hands up to my lips and leaving a few short kisses on his knuckles.

Ashton finally took the car out of park and it began to slowly move backwards, but I could tell that he was still nervous. He kept his eyes focused on the rearview mirror, carefully backing down the driveway.

"Do that again." He whispered, and I was barely able to hear him.

"This?" I questioned, slowly kissing the top of Ashton's hand again.

"Yes." He breathed out, a small smile settling on his lips. Ashton slowly pulled his hand away from mine so he could keep two hands on the wheel.

I leaned my head against the back of the seat and closed my eyes for a moment, thinking back on all that Ashton and I had been through in these last few months. It was surprising that so much had happened to us in so little time, but I knew that I wouldn't trade any of it for anything. Everything that happened happened for a reason, and things wouldn't be the same now if something had turned out differently.

I loved Ashton so much, and I knew that it sounded super cheesy, but I honestly believed that he was the best thing that had ever happened to me.

"You're awfully quiet, Murphy." Ashton laughed, his hand slowly moving from the steering wheel again and onto my bare thigh, giving me goosebumps again.

"I'm just thinking." I said softly.

"Mhm." Ashton hummed, his thumb rubbing circles into my skin. "Thinking about what?"

"How much I love you." I smiled, watching the smile on Ashton's face grow as well.

"You're adorable." Ashton said, grabbing my hand again and lacing our fingers together. This time he brought my hand up to his mouth, slowly leaving some kisses along my knuckles. "I love you."

"Where are we going?" I asked after another few minutes of silence, remembering that Ashton hadn't told me where he was taking me yet.

"I thought it was supposed to be a surprise." Ashton laughed, trying to keep his eyes on the road.

"Who said it was supposed to be a surprise?" I giggled, taking Ashton's hand off of my lap and wiggling my fingers between his again.

"I did." Ashton shrugged, like he was just making that decision right here.

"Why does it have to be a big secret?" I whined, "Why can't you just tell me?"

"I want this to be nice!" Ashton argued playfully, glancing at me for a quick second and smiling.

"I'm sure it'll be nice even if you tell me..." I said innocently, trying my hardest to get him to give in and tell me. He knew that I didn't like surprises, and he also knew that I was just going to keep asking about it until we got there.

"Do you still like Mexican food?" Ashton asked, changing the subject.

"Of course I do." I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Is that where you're talking me?"

"Yeah, I'm taking you to Mexico." Ashton said sarcastically, giving my hand another squeeze.

"You're lying."

"You don't believe me?" Ashton gasped, pretending to be offended. "If you want to go to Mexico we could go to Mexico, Murphy. I'd take you anywhere, I'd take you to the moon and back again if you asked me."

"Would you really?" I asked, almost speechless.

"I am one hundred percent serious." Ashton said, and the tone of his voice was pretty serious as well, so I knew that he meant it.

I didn't say anything else, just stayed quiet, because I knew that there was no way for me to put into words how happy I was right now. Just a few weeks ago I felt like my life had totally fallen apart and now I was happier than I had ever been before, all because of one person. I didn't think that I would ever be able to tell Ashton that I loved him enough, and I knew that no matter what I would always feel that way about him.

-

Our date was nice. We didn't go to Mexico, but we did go to that same Mexican restaurant that we used to go to all the time when we were first dating, because Ashton knew that it was my favorite. He'd told me earlier that he wanted to take me to the burger place that we went to on our very first "hypothetical" date, but he knew that I liked Mexican food way more than I liked burgers.

We were back at my house now, and even though we both had one certain thing on our mind we hadn't made any quick moves to get upstairs yet. We were in my kitchen, with me sitting on the island and Ashton positioned in between my legs, sharing a tub of ice cream.

"This is good." Ashton said, shoving a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth.

"This is good." I nodded, agreeing with him. Our spoons hit against each other's as we both went for the same chunk of ice cream at the same time.

"I'll fight you for it." Ashton glared jokingly at me, trying to push my spoon out of the way.

"That's literally the last big spoonful!" I whined, trying to bump Ashton's spoon away from so I could get the ice cream.

"Split it." Ashton said, furrowing his eyebrows at me.

"No." I pouted. Ashton pouted back, and I gave in and used my spoon to split the chuck of ice cream in half so Ashton and I could both have some.

"Did we seriously just eat all of that ourselves?" Ashton laughed, licking his lips while I finished my own ice cream.

"I think we did." I laughed as well, setting the now empty tub off to the side.

Ashton took a step closer to me and rested his hands on the tops of my thighs while I brought my own hands to the back of his neck, twisting the small strands of hair at his nape in between my fingers.

"Murphy, I think we should talk about something." Ashton said softly, startling me a little. He sounded serious, and I was suddenly a little worried.

"What?" I asked slowly, almost not wanting to find out what he was talking about.

"It's nothing bad, don't worry." Ashton chuckled. He leaned in slowly and firmly pressed his lips to mine, kissing me for a good amount of time before pulling away again. "There's just something that I think we should... discuss."

"Alright." I nodded, waiting for Ashton to speak first.

"You look so scared, baby." Ashton laughed at me, cupping the side of my face with one hand. He kept his other hand on my thigh, slowly inching it closer to the hem of my dress.

"Because you're scaring me." I said, trying to laugh even though I was beyond nervous right now.

"I'm not trying to scare you." Ashton chuckled, chastely kissing me on the lips once more. "I would never try to scare you."

"Okay..." I said, still unsure of what was going on. I didn't know what Ashton was talking about, and to say that I was scared was an understatement. He didn't usually get this serious with me, at least he hadn't recently.

"I just wanted to make sure, well clarify, really, that we're... I don't know, dating again?" Ashton said, like it was a question.

"Like, officially?" I asked.

I understood now why Ashton was questioning this, because even though I had already gone ahead and just assumed that Ashton and I were together again after the other day at my house, but we hadn't discussed it yet. Technically Ashton and I weren't even boyfriend and girlfriend, although it seemed like we were.

"Yeah." Ashton nodded.

"I didn't think we really needed to talk about it." I laughed.

"Oh." Ashton said, pausing for a moment." Really?"

"Well, I thought that it was just sort of implied." I said, feeling my cheeks heat up. I shouldn't have just assumed like that, I should have asked Ashton about it first.

"Oh, okay." Ashton nodded, glancing down at my lap, and then back up at me again. "I kind of thought it was implied too, but I didn't want to just assume."

"It's not really a big deal..." I trailed off. If we both thought the same thing then it shouldn't really matter, we both felt the same way about each other so it shouldn't be a big deal whether or not Ashton and I made things "official" again.

"Yeah, I know." Ashton shrugged. "I just didn't want to introduce you to my mom as my girlfriend when you don't feel the same way."

"Yeah, I under - " I began to nod, before realizing what Ashton had just said. He'd always been so weird about me meeting his family, his mom especially, and it totally caught me off guard when he mentioned introducing me to her. "Your mom?"

"Is that okay?" Ashton asked softly, leaning in closer to me so his nose was brushing against mine. "She wants me to come by and visit soon, so I figured that I'd bring you along."

"That's okay, yeah." I nodded, biting back a smile.

It shouldn't have made a difference whether or not Ashton introduced me to his mother, but it really meant something to me. I knew that Ashton had a hard time with things like that, especially after all that he went through with his ex-girlfriend, and it made me feel really special that he was ready to move forward with me like this.

"Really? Are you sure?" Ashton whispered. I didn't know if he actually wanted me to answer or not, because his lips were so close to mine and I was sure that he was a little distracted at the moment. We could always talk about this later, couldn't we?

"I'm sure." I nodded again before pulling Ashton forward the rest of the way and bringing his lips to mine.

I immediately felt Ashton smile into the kiss, his hand moving from it's place on my cheek to the tops of my thighs again. His lips moved quickly against mine, but the kiss was still firm and passionate and I didn't think that there was any way for me to describe how I was feeling other than loved. I felt loved.

I let out a small gasp as Ashton's hands traveled further up my dress and he took that opportunity to slip his tongue in between my lips, deepening the kiss even more. He'd hiked my dress up almost all the way now and I knew that neither of us were planning on stopping anytime soon.

"Dani." Ashton whispered, just barely pulling away from me. He came back a second later, his lips finding mine once again and kissing me with even more lust and passion than before.

"I love you." I whispered, moving my hands from the back of Ashton's neck to his chest, resting them there while his lips made their way down my neck and to my collarbone, where he sucked long enough to leave a deep purple mark.

"I love you, Dani, I love you so much." Ashton whispered, his lips brushing over my skin as he spoke. His hands ran up and down my thighs, giving me goosebumps every time he touched me.

"Can we go upstairs - " I stared to speak, my fingers slowly moving to the buttons on Ashton's shirt.

"Babe," Ashton stopped me, his soft lips still sucking at my neck. "I don't know if we - "

"Oh." I said softly, pulling away from Ashton just a little. I was confused, because I thought that Ashton had wanted this too, judging from the way he was acting just a few minutes ago. I didn't understand why he was stopping.

"I'm scared." He whispered.

"We've done this before." I whispered back, leaning in to kiss him again.

Ashton accepted my kiss, pulling back after a moment. "I want to make sure that everything is perfect."

"It will be perfect." I whispered, reaching up to run my fingers through his hair, which was something that is knew he liked.

"Please, Dani." Ashton begged, causing me to stop what I was doing.

"Okay." I nodded slowly. I didn't want to do this with Ashton when he wasn't totally into it as well, it just wouldn't feel right. If he wanted to wait for a little while then I would too.

"It's just - we haven't been doing a very good job of taking things slow, have we?" Ashton chuckled. He took his hands away from their place on my thighs and I pulled my dress down again, assuming that we wouldn't be doing anything else tonight.

"Not really." I said, laughing with him.

"I should have been a gentleman about this." Ashton said, taking a step back from me. "I should have just walked to your door and given you a nice kiss goodnight."

"Where's the fun in that?" I smirked at him, holding out a hand so he could help me down from the island. I hopped down, straightening my dress out again.

"Dani," Ashton whined. "I really want to do this right. Technically we're starting over. We've literally been dating for 10 minutes."

"I know, I get it." I laughed, even though Ashton and I had already been through a lot more than just 10 minutes worth of a relationship.

Ashton continued to hold my hand as he lead me out of the kitchen and up the stairs, towards my bedroom. "I'm walking you to your bedroom door, since we're already in your house."

"Okay." I laughed, following after Ashton as he walked up the stairs.

"Here we are." Ashton said once we reached my bedroom, gesturing towards the door.

I stepped through the doorway but kept the door open, so I could still see Ashton and only a few feet were separating us.

"I really had a great time tonight." I said, innocently rocking back and forth on my heels.

"I did too." Ashton smiled, running a hand through his now messy hair.

"Are you sure you don't want to spend the night?" I asked, just trying one more time to get Ashton to change his mind. We didn't have to have sex, we could just be together. That was all I really wanted, to just curl up in bed with Ashton and talk to him all night long about anything and everything.

"I really shouldn't." Ashton said, looking as if he was actually thinking about it. "I told your father that there would be no funny business tonight."

"My father doesn't have to know..." I joked, biting down on my bottom lip.

Ashton let out a groan and covered his face with his hands for a second before uncovering it and looking back at me. "I can't."

"Okay, that's fine." I smiled, leaning up against the doorframe.

"Alright, Dani Murphy." Ashton chuckled.

"Alright, Ashton Irwin." I laughed, flipping my hair over my shoulder.

Then Ashton held out his hand, like he wanted me to shake it.

I laughed again and grabbed Ashton's outstretched hand, shaking it once. We stayed that way for a few seconds before Ashton groaned again and pulled me forward, wrapping both of his arms around my waist. I smiled and brought my arms up around Ashton's neck again, pulling him closer to me.

"I guess I can stay for a few more minutes." Ashton whispered, quickly bringing his lips back to mine.

I began walking backwards, our lips still connected, as Ashton kicked the door closed behind us. Somehow we made it over to my bed without separating once and I fell back, bringing Ashton down with me.

-

"Murphy." Ashton whispered hours later, his fingers tracing patterns in my bare back.

"Yeah?" I whispered back, slowly opening my eyes again. I rolled over to face Ashton, who was cuddled up in a mess of blankets on my bed.

"I love you." He whispered. "I just wanted to tell you one more time."

"I love you too." I smiled. I reached out and cupped Ashton's cheek in my hand, moving closer to him. I pressed a quick kiss to his lips, again feeling the need to remind him how I felt about him.

"Graduation is coming up." Ashton sighed after a moment, shifting his weight more so his arms were wrapped around my waist.

"Yeah," I nodded. I hadn't really thought a lot about the fact that Ashton and I were graduating soon, it hasn't been a priority for me. "Are you excited?"

"I'm a little nervous." Ashton admitted, leaning in and leaving a few kisses along my next.

"Why?" I questioned, running my fingers through his hair. I grabbed the sides of Ashton's face again and forced him to look me in the eyes.

"You have a plan." He sighed, "Your parents are probably going to pay for you to get into college and you'll get a good job and be successful. I have nothing."

"I'm not going to leave you behind, if that's what you're worried about." I chuckled lightly. "And besides, I've hardly thought about my future. I have no idea what I'm going to do after high school."

"I'm not going to college, Murphy, I can tell you that." Ashton said, his lips tugging up at the corners in a small smile. "School is just not for me, and I'm not going to go through another four years of that."

"That's fine, you can do whatever you want." I said, continuing to play with the ends of Ashton's hair.

"You can do whatever you want, too." Ashton said quickly. "Don't worry about me holding you back. If you want to move halfway across the country then that's fine, because I'll be right there with you."

"Ashton." I giggled, flattered at the way that Ashton was so willing to give up everything for me.

"I love you." He said, quickly kissing me again.

"You're amazing." I smiled, pulling Ashton closer to press my lips to his one more time.

"You really haven't thought about our future?" Ashton asked quietly after a few minutes of silence between us, the only sound in the room being our steady breathing.

"Our future? No, not at all." I said honestly. I didn't want to lie and say that I spent all of my free time imagining Ashton and I growing old together. It was something that I definitely knew that I wanted, I just didn't think about it. "Why, have you?"

"I have, actually." Ashton nodded.

"Tell me about it." I said, biting down on my bottom lip.

"I... I just imagine us staying together for a long time. You'll probably go off to college for something that you really enjoy, like English, and I'll get a nice job at a cool music store. We'll own an apartment together or maybe a cute little house and spend our time dancing around to my old records." Ashton got a little lost in thought as he spoke, like he was concentrating too much on what he was saying. "Maybe we'll have a kid or two, whatever you want. We can get a dog or something instead of kids, or two dogs or three dogs. I just - I can picture all of it, Dani, I can picture it all so clearly. I'm sorry, it's dumb..."

"It's not dumb, Ash, it sounds perfect." I said, not letting him finish his sentence. Yeah, I hadn't thought about my future with Ashton, but after hearing him say that I knew that it was exactly what I wanted.

"Really? Is that something you want?" Ashton asked.

"Yes, it's exactly what I want." I nodded. "And I've always wanted a dog, by the way."

"I figured that you would." Ashton chuckled.

"I love you so much, I'm willing to do anything as long as you're right there with me." I said quietly, my eyes trailing up to the ceiling above us instead of to Ashton.

"I'd to the same for you, Murphy. Things might be a little crazy for the next few months, but I promise that everything will work out." Ashton assured me. "Trust me."

"I trust you." I whispered.

I knew that things would be crazy. Ashton and I were going to be busy getting ready to graduate and we were both going to have to deal with Michael leaving very soon. But I believed in Ashton and I, and I knew that we were going to make this work no matter what we were put through. We'd gone through a lot of ups and downs in our relationship and we'd always come back stronger than before. I knew that we would make this work.

"Dani, can I ask you a question?" Ashton spoke softly, breaking the silence between us once again.

"Yes." I nodded, knowing that this must be serious if Ashton was calling me by my actual name and not his usual nickname.

"Promise you won't laugh." Ashton whispered. I nodded again, telling him to go on. "Do you really want to stay with me forever?"

"Yes, of course." I answered quickly, not even needing a moment to think about this. I knew that I would always love Ashton and that was never going to change, and I'd want to be with him for the rest of my life.

"Then marry me."

"What?" I gasped, taken aback by what he'd just said. I hadn't expected Ashton to suggest something like that at all. We were so young, and of course I knew that Ashton was planning on us getting married and being together for the rest of our lives, but not this soon. We were 18, it was too early for either of us to get married.

"Not now, of course." Ashton laughed at the expression on my face, reaching out and tucking some hair behind my ear. "Just make me a promise."

"Okay." I nodded slowly, looking up at Ashton.

"Promise that one day you'll marry me. Promise that we'll buy a nice house and start a family together." Ashton said, leaning in and resting his forehead against mine. "Promise that you'll always love me, no matter what happens."

"I promise." I said, feeling my eyes begin to well up with tears. Ashton had always acted so serious about him being in this for the long run, but I never thought that it was serious enough for him to say something like this. I knew that he really meant this. He loved me and he wanted to be with me forever; and I felt the exact same way.

"Good." Ashton smiled, slowly bringing his lips back to mine and connecting them.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled myself closer to him, so our chests were pressed together and I could hear Ashton's heart beating against mine. He slowly rolled us over so he was on top again, Ashton's hands running down my sides until they were resting on my hips.

"It's you and me, Murphy." Ashton mumbled into the kiss, his teeth playfully tugging at my bottom lip. "Forever."

"I love you so much." I whispered again.

"We're going to get married." Ashton laughed against my lips, unable to contain his excitement.

"I know." I giggled at how happy he was, his own laugh just reminding me how much I loved him.

"We're going to get married and have a family with lots of dogs and little kids." Ashton said, kissing all over my face now.

"I can't wait, Ashton, I can't wait to marry you and start a family." I mumbled as Ashton kissed me, moving down to kiss at his neck.

Ashton and I stopped talking for a while and he brought his lips back to mine, kissing me passionately. His arms wrapped around my waist and he traced small patterns into my hips as our lips moved slowly against each other's, neither of us ever wanting this moment to end.

"We should probably get to sleep now, we've been talking all night." Ashton said after a long while, climbing off of me and landing on his side of the bed again.

"What time is it?" I asked, suddenly feeling tired. I grabbed some of the blankets and wrapped them around myself, crawling closer to Ashton. He leaned over to my bedside table and checked the clock.

"Murphy." Ashton laughed, turning back to face me with a huge smile on his face. He shook his head a few times, like he couldn't believe this.

"What?" I asked, not understanding what was so funny.

"It's 7:15 AM."
