{33}Beginning of The Last Week

Three more days.

Three more days until summer vacation begins once again. Something I've learned? Zoey is unbreakable. I tried talking to her about what happened in math class, but she wouldn't say anything about it. I guess that it'll remain a mystery to me.

Anyway, since yesterday was Memorial Day, we didn't go to school. That means that we only have today, tomorrow and Thursday.

Ms. Slater was going to buy pizza for our class to eat during lunch. The catch? We had to eat in her class. Now, it's not bad, it's just that out of my group of friends, only Amber and Mia don't have Ms. Slater. They have the other Pre-Ap teacher. They'll both be lonely.

Since it's the last week of school, Ms.Slater let us sit wherever we want. Yay!

*****

The pizza was good. Of course it was good, it's pizza! Diego had volunteered to buy some of the drinks. Why? I have absolutely no idea. I saw him helping Mr. Jackson (our new orchestra teacher) put the stands up. Diego's helping everyone these days.

Anyway, Ms. Slater had also brought ice cream. Sweet, delicious ice cream. I can't believe some people don't like her!

You would think that third and fourth would go amazingly after that. Wrong.

Ms. Slater said something.

At first, it was funny because it was targeting Zoey, but then she targeted me. I HATE YOU KARMA!

Anyway, this is what happened. We were talking as a class since there were only a couple minutes left of lunch. Anyway, the topic of our conversation quickly became dating. Why? Because even Ms. Slater knew what happened between Lizbeth and Tyler. They were back together now, but I doubt that they'll still be together by the time seventh grade comes.

Ms. Slater has alway told us that we were too young to be dating. I couldn't agree more. SOmehow, our conversation about dating led Ms. Slater to admit something. something I had no idea she thought. And man, it was hilarious. Especially because of Zoey's reaction.

"I've known you guys long enough to know who you guys would make a good couple with in this classroom," Ms. Slater said.

"So," Sabrina said, "who do you think makes a good couple in this classroom."

"Uh," she said, glancing at my table. That obviously meant that it was one of three people. Why? Because, counting me, there are three people in my table which consist of me, Zoey, and Emily. "I think that Zoey and Diego would make a good couple."

The best part about that?

Most of the class already shipped them!

"I couldn't agree more!" Sabrina exclaimed.

Diego was as pale as no and Zoey was on the verge of screaming. She had obviously not expected that. None of us did.

Oh, but wait. There's still the part where Ms. Slater turned on me.

"Wait," Sabrina said, "So Diego is the only guy you think Zoey would make a good couple with?"

"Um, no" Ms, Slater said. "There's other guys."

"What about Diego? Do you think he would make a good couple with someone else."

"Yeah," Ms. Slater said, "there is another girl. Zoey and she are the only ones that I find Diego compatible with when it comes to romance."

"Who is it?" Sabrina asked, intrigued.

"Vanessa."

My mind exploded. Like, seriously it went haywire. WHAT!

Apparently, Emily wasn't the only one that thought that Diego and I made a good couple. I can assure you, we don't.

Being shipped with a guy you find annoying is the worst way possible to start the beginning of the last week of school.

Especially if you don't want the week to ever end.
