Patrick is perfect.

In every way, his lips, his skin, his eyes, his personality. I love it. I love how he can just be so flawless. I wish I could make him see what I do, but I'm afraid he would only shy away and say no. He would never believe me. Would he?

There are times when we'll sit together as friends. We'll talk and laugh under the stars. I'll hug him when he cries. We do everything together.

As friends.

We love each other.

As friends.

But me? Oh, I love him as so much more. I'd do anything for him.

I'd take a bullet for him.

But he'd take one for another.

There are days where, instead of speaking of his deepest thoughts, he'll go on about Pete. About how perfect and beautiful and amazing Pete is. About how everything is just amazing with Pete. How he hopes to one day have children with him.

I only cry into my pillow at night because he speaks of things I would die to have with him.

It hurts so bad. How he loves someone who isn't me.

How he can be so blind and in love that it's like he doesn't even care.

Like I don't matter to him.

But why would I?

I'm only a friend.

I always have been just a friend.

And I always will be.
