Gerard and I have never really been sexual in the relationship.

Maybe that's because I'm asexual and that kind of stuff just doesn't appeal to me. And people always ask, "How can you guys be dom/sub if there's nothing sexual about it?"

Well, it works.

Which brings me to why I'm sitting on my knees in Gerard and I's room with my head down, hands behind my back as he makes dinner.

I was stupid, and I didn't take my pills this morning. Or... the morning before... or before... I ran out of pills two weeks ago and didn't tell him. That was for my depression.

So he told me to take my pills and made me kneel here while he makes dinner.

And I'm not gonna lie. I kinda feel like shit. I should have told him. I disappointed him.

I hear the door slam shut and his footsteps enter the room, my muscles tensing and my heart racing at the scare.

"Don't look up." Gerard orders, kneeling beside me with a plate of spaghetti in his hands.

I obey, shutting my eyes instead and the opening them again.

"I'm sorry, Sir." I whisper.

"Shut up." Gerard barks, setting the plate beside me before standing, "Why didn't you tell me?"

I open my mouth to reply and after a moment, I continue, "I don't know."

He shakes his head, "Tell me the truth or you're gonna kneel here for another hour."

My hands are shaking as I reply, tears forming at my eyes when I finally reply, "I thought I could manage without them."

Gerard stays silent for a moment, "I love you, Patrick, I really do. But you need to tell me these things."

I squeeze my eyes shut and sob out,  "I-I'm s-sorry, Sir."

He shakes his head and kneels again, kissing my tears away, "It's okay, Baby, I understand. I'll get you some water and then we can eat dinner and cuddle in bed. Does that sound good?"

I nod, turning my head so my lips catch his.

Gerard rises to his feet, helps me up, then leaves to grab some water as I get my plate and crawl into bed.

And as I wait, plate in my lap and blankets around me I can't help to think about how goddamn lucky I am.
