Three days later.

"Are you sure?" Nicole asked as she sat next to my hospital bed. I rolled my eyes with a soft smile.
"Nicole...it's only for three days. It's okay. I really want you to go and have fun before...things happen. I'm here and in safe, everything is okay. Go have fun with Ben." I convinced her, soothing her worried expression and eyes.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm positive, Nicole. I'll be fine."
That was my first mistake.

"So, is he gonna propose do you think?"Daniel asked as we played cards.
I smiled. "Yeah, he is. He even asked me which is pretty cool. He wants to marry her before I-um...yeah, so he'll be proposing." I finished. I could see Daniele visible tense.
I brushed it off and gazed over my cards.
"You have any Lana Del Rays?" I asked. He giggled breathily as he passed over two queens.
"Hey, I'm gonna go get some water from the water fountain." I said as I stood up slowly, holding my hand to my chest as I let out a deep breath. Daniel bit his lower lip nervously.
"No no, I'll just you a water bottle from the vending machine. You shouldn't be walking around." I rolled my eyes and ignored him, sitting myself down in my wheelchair.
I felt a weird sharp pain on the left side of my chest, but I didn't think anything of cause I kinda have lung cancer.
"No, the fountained water taste better. And I wanna do it myself. Can you try and find the channel that's playing Reba?" I asked. He chuckled but nodded. I could still see the nervous expression on his face.
"Hey, it's fine. I'm just going to the other hall. I'll be back in a few minutes." I said. He stood up and opened the door for me. I smiled at him as I wheeled out, feeling the weird pain in my left lung worsen with every breath. Right now, it felt like a tiny dagger punching itself in my lung.
I wheeled down to the other hall, passing people with pitied look on their faces. I rolled my eyes at all of them and finally got to the fountain and used the child one since it was in the exact position I needed it to be it for me to be able to reach and drink from it.
And took once sip, but pulled back. The veins on my wrists looked strained and my skin looked pale.
I felt myself suddenly gasping for air and dry heaving.
I let out another dry, painful cop before yelling.
"N-nurse!"
******
""His lung collapsed." The nurse said to Daniel. Daniel was bouncing his leg up and down as he sat in the new room Joy was moved to.
The nurse was anxious. More then usual with a dying patient. Daniel furrowed his eyebrows.
"He's gonna be okay, right? He'll still have 48 days...right?" He asked frantically but in a normal toned voice. The nurse bit her lip.
She glanced down at Joey who was asleep, his face drained of color and expression.
"We're...we're not sure anymore."
