M E R I D A

I woke up this morning with no trouble, which usually I have trouble getting up.

I get dressed and go downstairs to eat something. I'm sure Hiccup had already left.

I was ready for today, I couldn't wait! I'm sure if Hiccup did the same as yesterday then he would have it in the bag. Because, last time we did this they were all pretty terrible at it.

Once I was done with my food I hurried to outside to the archery range.

"Welcome all tae th' seicont games!" My mum announced.

Everyone cheered or clapped. Hiccups parents were sitting beside me and my parents.

"This game wull be archery!" She says.

"Each player wull recieve one bow 'n' one arrow. Ye hae one chance tae mak' th' center. Closest wins." She says.

The first contestant was the one that was a big fellow. He pulled back lightly and it went out of bounds.

I roll my eyes and look at the next one, he was a very skinny guy with long black hair and a muscular chest. He pulled back and made it look all dramatic. He lets go and it's two away from the center. He starts to do the same as he did the first time we did this.

Then we have the very scrawny boy, he try's to put the arrow on the bow but it doesn't go very well. His dad shouts at him and he lets go. Which it does the same as last time just not the center.

"Weel dain mah boy!!" His father shouts raising his arms in the air.

I hope and pray to God that Hiccup makes this shot. I'm not going to have that little boy win this round. Which this could be the last round if Hiccup wins this one because it's best two out of three. And I'm going to die if I have to wear this dress again.

I look towards Hiccup and see him breathe in and out slowly a few times. He puts the arrow on his bow and pulls back.

T H I R D P O V

"Shoulders back, breathe, relax." Hiccup and Merida say at the same time.

M E R I D A

He lets go and it felt like everything went on slow motion.

Hiccup puts his shoulders back and puts the bow down.

My mum, dad, and hiccups parents all stand with me standing with them.

It goes to the target and hits the center. Everyone cheers. My parents cheer. His parents cheer. I cheer.

He jumps up and down, punching the air in victory.

I run towards Hiccup and hug him as he lifts me up and spins around.

He puts me down and looks into my eyes. I was smiling uncontrollably and so was he.

Our parents come over to us and we let go as hiccups parents hug him.

"I'm so proud of you Hiccup!" His mum tells him.

"Never been prouder!" His dad tells him.

I smile at him and he smiles back.

Me and Hiccup were walking around in the forest. No reason, I think, just walking.

"I guess we're going to get married." Hiccup says.

"Yep." I say and smile at the thought.

"So I guess now would be a good time to tell you about something." He says.

"Yea?"

"So whenever me and my dad lived here I had something for you, not like a friend way, more than that. I loved you Merida, and I still do." He says.

I was shocked, I always felt that there was something he had for me, but I never thought it was true.

"Ah- ah felt th' same way, 'n' ah still do tae." I say.

"Well then I guess I should propose properly," he said and got down on one knee.

"Will you, Merida of Dun'Broch, marry me?" He asks me.

"Yes!" I say.

He stands and takes my hand. He looks at my face and then at my lips. I lean in and he does the same. Our lips touch and move in sync.

We let go and walk farther into the forest to Toothless.

"Do you want to go to Berk?" Hiccup asked.

"Yes. A'd loue tae." I say and we hop onto Toothless.

"Hold on." Hiccup says and I hold on before he takes off.
