The room fell silent as Namjoon walked in, towing a reluctant Hyojung with him. He slightly pushed the girl onto a vacant seat, and proceeded to sit on the end of the very long table, next to her.

"I don't want to be here." She whispered.

She was about to leave when she heard him say, "Try to stand up and you'll be suffering for the rest of your university days."

Her thoughts replayed the scene in the café where the students were shocked, and some even shoot her pitying look when she was forced to leave the space with him. No one said anything, it was like they were also scared of him.

She had also been in a closed (well not really) room with him, and it was no doubt that he intimidated her. It sucked that she was naturally not good in arguing, so she could not do anything to help with her case other than to scare herself more with the stupid loitering thoughts...

With those running contemplations in her mind, she settled back on to her seat grudgingly. Her eyes went to the rest of seated members in the conference room; some were whispering – eyes flitting to her and somewhere else, and some were just blatantly looking at her.

Hyojung cowered, feeling the stress. I didn't want to be here too, it's not my fault, she wanted to say to the members, but like always, nothing her frozen lips could form.

Deciding concentrate herself on other things, she looked at the guy sitting next to her who was busying himself with his phone. In front of her was the girl whom she saw in his office. Kim Miyu, he had said her name.

Kim Miyu, Hyojung pondered, where did I- OH.

Finally getting nice look at her, she noticed that everything that she have predicted about the girl was right – and more.

When Yunha told her that Kim Miyu had called her looks 'below average', Hyojung had presumed that Kim Miyu must be really pretty, but nothing in her wildest dream could prepare her the imagination of what she really looks like.

Her curly sandy brown hair fell past her shoulder and her long lashes fluttered every time she blinked. She was busying herself with some papers in her file – being the only person who was not giving Hyojung any (subtle) dirty looks and ignored her, apart from his majesty (Kim Namjoon) himself. The red gradient colour on her plump lips were mesmerising, and her cheeks that were dusted in pink – free from any blemishes. Can't relate.

She was a literal goddess and Hyojung would not be surprised if Kim Miyu thought any other girls were not able to challenge her looks. Hyojung thought she might even have the right to say so.

"I'm sorry~" A voice surprised the entire room. Hyojung turned to her back to look at the person who have just arrived. A girl in a high ponytail was jumping in glee into the room, grinning widely even though she earned a glare from the president.

"You're fifteen minutes late." Namjoon grumbled, placing his phone down and glared as the girl simply raised her hand in an apology.

"I went to the deanery to clear my forms, and Mrs. Min held me back longer than she should." She giggled. "She said she is going to miss me and gifted me with a bottle of Chanel perfume. What a kind lady."

Hyojung mouth fell, the way she said it like it's customary for the staffs to give a student with a freaking Chanel perfume as a gift.

"Which one?" Kim Miyu asked, switching her attention to something else other than her work for the first time.

The girl who have just arrived shrugged. "The one that Jennie Kim of Blackpink modelled for before? It was so last year, but I remember telling Mrs. Min that I loved the scent so much when it was just released, so she got it for me."

"Stop talking about your perfumes and let's start this meeting. We're way behind schedules." Namjoon ordered in his authoritative voice, and the girl chuckled before going to her seat, next to Kim Miyu.

"Did you prepare the list I told you to?" He asked, and the girl nodded, switching to her serious mode. Hyojung shrank deeper into her cushioned seat – feeling extremely daunted by these people.

She passed the president a list full of names, and Hyojung watched as he read it attentively for a while before setting the paper down.

"Is this all?" He asked the girl and after she replied with a curt nod, he switched his eyes to the seated members in front of him. "I understand that you have selected your own recommendation for this position, and even recommended yourself –" He said, staring at each one of them seriously.

"But for this year I have decided to make a few change." He stood up, making his way around the room slowly. "It is a tradition for second and third years to hold a higher position in the Student's Council. We take up on the role for our whole years in university from our successors before we re-assigned the position to our own apprentices that we choose ourselves.

"Not saying that there's any problem with that – the reason why the tradition continued for this long is because the system works, and we have yet to find any errors in the system even after this long. But I would like to propose a new change." He stopped his steps and made eye contact with Hyojung – to which she blushed. "First year, introduce yourself."

Hyojung mentally cursed the guy, but after gaining that much attention on herself, she stood up. "Uh, hi? I'm Choi hyojung. It is my first year in this university and I-"

"Department?" Namjoon interrupted her with a question, continuing his steps. He was now at the other side making his way back to the front, still in the same pace as he started, hands clasped behind his back.

"Uh- MassCom, and I'm minoring in Psychology as well..." She saw the slight movement in the corner of Namjoon's lips.

"Kwon Mina is a Psychology major." He mentioned, nodding to the girl who cheerfully told the entire room about her new Chanel perfume gift. Kwon Mina gave Hyojung the biggest grin and wave to her. At least someone was friendly to her. "Mina is an astounding student, even with the council stuffs I burdened her with. A first class student for sure."

Hyojung gasped as the other members grinned at Mina, resulting the girl to say, "Awwee guuyys staaaaph, it's nothing."

"But-" Namjoon voice boomed through the entire room and the chatting that started a second ago stopped. "Miss Choi is also a good student. She got a total of 295 in the entrance exam, and her past curricular activities are better than some of us in here. She gained her high school diploma from one of the best school – SH Highschool. She has potentials."

The room was once again filled with murmurings from the other members. Hyojung felt her cheeks warmed, as she glanced at Namjoon who have already reached his seat after doing a round. How did he know?

He smirked, holding her gaze for a second. Hyojung's heart skipped a beat, feeling unnerved. He did a background check on her before the meeting started. It must be the reason. She bit her lip at the realisation, that's why he appeared busy with his phone.

He was showing her what he could do in such short amount of time. She felt herself shudder as she thought of his warning. "You'll suffer for the rest of your university days."

What have I put myself into? Her inner self questioned. It felt like a worst nightmare turned to a reality.

"I, Kim Namjoon, the Student's Council president," He said, calming the not-so-silent discussion between the other members for a while, "propose that Miss Choi Hyojung, a first year of Mass and Communication department to be the Student's Council board next secretary." He finished with a wide grin.

And for the second time that day, Hyojung witnessed herself being tossed from a hell another.
