Chapter Six
/What? Two chapters at once? It's a miracle./
Your Perspective
"Phil!" I whisper yelled and spun around to look at him, "What do you mean?"
"Ya goof," he walked over to me and ruffled my (H/L) hair, "I've already seen it. Pretty impressive though, did you make it?"
"Thank you, yes, and . . . oh, chuck . . . " I groaned.
"Chuck?" he gave me a questioning look.
"Nevermind," I mumbled, "have you told him yet?"
"Not a word. For now." Phil chuckled and sat next to me as I put my head in my hands.
/I know this is irrelevant, but my cat just jumped across the bunk beds in this room, failed and ended up on the floor. Now he's trying to hide from embarrassment underneath them./
"I'm sorry I didn't say that I knew exactly who you were, I was just so awestruck an-"
"It's fine, (Y/N), I think it went better than if we knew that you knew who we were. If that made any sense at all." We both laughed at our 1am talk.
"It made perfect sense. And I agree. I'm glad that I can feel comfortable around you guys instead of freaking out because 'AmazingPhil is talking to me!' or 'I'm sitting next to Daniel Howell oh my gosh!'."
"Speaking of Dan . . ." Phil raised an eyebrow and nudged me with his elbow, "What do you think of real life Dan?"
"He seems more chill and caring than in videos. Like, we as viewers know that he cares about us, but being around him like that . . . " I trailed off.
"Honestly, I've never seen him act that concerned about someone before. You're definitely the first."
"Yeah right," I chuckled, but stopped when I look back at Phil. He was giving me an "actually, yeah" look. "Oh . . . oh."
"Yup."
"Well, you both just met me, and have already so much. Again, thank you for doing that. As you can tell, I haven't had the guts to do anything close to calling the cops on him."
"(Y/N), he was abusing you. Verbally and physically. Speaking of, let's see your face for a second." He turned on the light and checked out my left eye and the left side of my chin, where I had been hit one too many times.
"Ow," I winced, "Phil that hurt."
"I would think so. You're pretty bruised on your chin, but your eye actually isn't that bad. Weirdly enough, you were lucky with where he hit you." He stood up and grabbed an ice pack from the freezer.
"Thanks," I said as he handed it to me, and I placed it on my chin bruise, "Are you not tired or anything?"
"Nah. I had to much coffee earlier in the day, it's all getting used now," he laughed.
"Well . . . do you want to play cards or something?" I offered, not knowing what else to say.
"Can I join?" a voice asked from behind us.
Both Phil and I turned towards the silhouette. It was Dan. He was slouching and rubbing his eyes. He hadn't been awake for that long, hopefully not long enough to have heard the start of the conversation.
"Sure I guess. How long have you been standing there?" I asked, nervous.
"Uhhh . . ." he fake-checked an invisible watch on his hand, "Like two minutes or something. I don't know. Phil was talking about coffee."
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and looked over to Phil. "We gonna play go fish?" he asked.
I nodded and so did Dan.
-----
I yawned and stretched my arms out. As I rubbed my eyes, I looked at my surroundings. I had apparently passed out on the sofa, alone. I got up, struggling with my crutches for a second, and saw that the guys had fallen asleep at the table, in the middle of what looked like some kind of double solitaire. Not wanting to wake them, I grabbed some cereal (don't ask how) that I knew they owned and sat back down on the sofa.
I clicked the TV on and saw that the cooking channel was already playing. I mentally shrugged and mindlessly watched people making food. I heard a slight groan from the table to my left, but payed no attention to it. Soon enough, Dan had plopped himself next to me, also eating cereal. Phil joined us shortly after.
After about an hour of Food Network, Phil finally complained that he was bored. I was grateful, because I was feeling the same, but didn't have the courage to bother these two amazing people. We all decided to go out somewhere. We had no idea where at the moment, but we just wanted to get out of the apartment for once.
"I just have to go change, I'll be back in fifteen minutes," I told them, crutching across the hall to my "house".
"Okay!" I heard Dan call after me.
I very carefully, but clumsily made my way past all the broken things right inside the door. In my room, I grabbed a pair of comfy pants and a fairly thin, black hoodie. Along with a black beanie that said "Bad Hair Day" on it. Oh, how I loved ironic things. After struggling to change, I walked into the bathroom to put on some basic makeup. Just foundation, concealer, eyeshadow that matched my skin tone and my signature shiny lip gloss.
/Sorry if you don't wear lip gloss, but this helps with the story just wait/
I hobbled back to Dan and Phil's place, just as they were finishing up as well. We all talked and decided that we would go visit the nearest park.
Cause why not, right?
