It's been months, almost a year has gone by without seeing Michael since he's been on tour for a while. You two Skype every now and then and tweet each other videos or even call every now and then but you wanted to surprise Michael before his 20th birthday.

Ever since you were primary, you and Michael always shared birthday parties, yeah Michael was two weeks older than you but that didn't stop your moms from combining budgets.

It wasn't the cliche best friend mom thing no, it was a simple "your son has been stealing my daughters lunch for weeks now" kind of thing back in year 3 but slowly progressed into a child free zone.

You went to UNI in Melbourne and weeks before was tight with exams and crammed with essays, and since now you were on break you decided to save some money to fly off to LA to visit Michael and the boys.

"You're coming?!" Michael practically squeeled , his face was bursting with excitement as I couldn't stop smiling at the boy in front of you. Even though Michaels face froze on skype you didn't mind the fact that every two seconds of video was lagging but was too concentrated on the fact you had enough to pay for a flight to America.

You've seen 5sos shows all over Australia and New Zealand as Michael promised to take you, but now it was different as you were also gonna be watching them perform at the forum a two weeks.

"How's everything back home?" He asked

"Same old, same old, you didn't miss much actually, just that I painted my bathroom walls" you say boringly

You then asked Michael on his adventures with the boys and he gladly shared his experience practically travelling around the world. Even though it was long you listened to every word, even though you've heard some stories twice you still enjoyed the company.

"-girlfriend"

You looked at your laptop dumbfounded

"Huh?" You feel an uneasy feeling in your chest as his eyes lit up as suddenly started talking about his girlfriend.

"She has brown hair, and brown eyes, her skin is soft, and her lips are so nice y/n"

He giggled like a school girl as you feel-
your cheeks heat up in a bit of jealousy.

"But at least now people won't think you and I are dating when I have Arzalyea huh?"
