Poe smiled as he finished up the last bit of Rey's makeup. She looked into the mirror in pure disbelief.

"You like it?"

"Yeah -" she breathed smoothing her hand over her curled locks. Rey couldn't put her mind around the idea that Ben would like this.

"Good. Now I'm going to drop you off and you'll do your magic!" Poe winked at her as they made their way to his car.

"Are you sure this is a good idea!"

"Yeah! Definitely, it'll get him back."

"I hope so —" Rey mumbled under her breath.

"Bye Poe!" She called as she walked inside. He didn't say anything instead he smiled and waved. Then he was gone.

It's now or nothing

Rey sighed bracing herself for rejection. The door creaked open.

"Rey what are you doing here?" Ben hissed, his voice low.

"I need to talk to you."

"I don't know —"

"Please, just for a minute. One chance, please."

"Fine," he beckoned her inside. Rey sighed in relief and settled on the couch, rigid.

"You may start Kenobi."

"I know you're mad at me but let me explain. I do have feelings for you —"

"I know! Poe showed me the entry! But I don't get why you want to leave — why you want to leave me."

"I'm scared okay! I've dealt with so much shit in my life! I don't have parents and I've had Unkar beat me and abuse me for years! It's hard to trust someone, much less love them."

"Rey I—"

"I'm sorry okay, I'm just scared." Rey put her hands to her face probably smudging all of the makeup Poe put on her.

"I'm sorry too, I should've listened to you."

"Thank you." Rey got up from the couch and headed to the door.

"Where are you going?"

"Back home.'

"Why?"

"My job is done here," she smiled weakly, "I needed to make things right with you before I leave."
