Tears

(Y/N) POV

I hear a scream. A long howling scream.

"Looks like we didn't knock her out...this will be trouble some," the black Zetsu says as the giant sandy Panda from my dream the other night appears...it was giant.

But even with its enormous size, it didn't hold a candle to the Gedo statue which stood at double its height.

"Get the statue away before the beast destroys it!" The black Zetsu ordered the white one.

Why would they run away? Maybe the statue isn't powerful right now?

The One tailed beast roars in anger as it charges toward the statue.

But as soon as it arrived, the Gedo statue disappeared.

The one tail didn't stop, and it ended up charging into the house, destroying it in the process.

"Come here little one tail," I hear White Zetsu say behind me. I look behind and I'm almost baffled at what I see.

There has to be at least 100 White Zetsu waiting for a fight.

Obviously they have a connection with the earth, they are just appearing from no where...that's the only explanation.

They started to attack the one tailed beast, and their sheer numbers were mind blowing, more were showing up at the second.

"Fireball!" I release a boiling ball of fire into the mass of Zetsu. They burn rather easily, but now I have their attention.

"Keep walking," I say trying to intimidate them...it was unsuccessful.

Instead, they charged toward me as I start throwing Kunai and Shuriken toward them.

They never ended, they just kept coming, underground, the sky, everywhere!

I activated my Sharingan so I could perceive their motions better...And I got to work.

I mixed up taijutsu with ninjutsu. As I covered spaces between the white bodies, I'd use various forms.

Earth style to crush them, Fire balls to light them up. Water to slow them down.

I felt my Chakra draining inside me but I knew if I stopped there'd be no tomorrow for me.

The tailed beast thrashed violently. Sometimes even dark matter appeared at its mouth and it fired like a bomb...when that happened, many Zetsu met their deaths.

I was getting tired

Suddenly they stopped....and then they were absorbed in the ground....it was over as quick as it started.

There was an army of them! Who knows how many they had.

I looked at the tailed beast to see its dark red eyes looking at me.

I won't lie, I was shocked in place, paralyzed from fear...this is my first time seeing an actual tailed beast in person...not including dreams.

Then, in a puff of smoke, it disappeared. In its place lay Cassy.

I can see that her heart was beating, so I turned to Martha and Conner. They both had holes in their chests...I walked to them and checked for a pulse just in case...my worries were answered in the worse way possible..they were both dead.

I heard Cassy groan as I turned to look at her.

She had gotten up and was looking at Martha and Conner.

"Are they?" She begins but her voice cracks.

I nod in response, as she hangs her head low.

And she does something I've yet to see her ever do...I faintly see some tears roll down her face.

I look back to the mother and son.

I dig up a grave for both of them. Cassy didn't help, in fact she didn't even move where she had woke up....not a single time from what I was aware of.

I look at the house, it was completely destroyed...no way we're we spending another night in it.

I'm reminded to want Martha asked...she asked if I could take Cassy to show her the world.

Looking at her, huddled with her arms over her legs...she looks like she needs some guidance.

"Cassy," I say carefully as I approach her

"Leave me alone," she says in a weak voice.

"I know it hurts...but there's nothing to do but move on," I say as she doesn't respond.

"They will rest in peace no matter what...but If you follow me, I'm sure they will have peace of mind," I say as once again no response.

"Cassy," I say as I put a hand on her shoulder.

I was jarred into a pitch black room.

"I helped you...I helped both of you," I hear the one tail says.

"What's going on!" I say as he huffs

"I help you out and this is how you treat me?" He asks as I shrug

"What is this!" I ask him

"This my cage," he says

"This is instead her mind," he continues as I look around.

"I thought it have more colour and rainbows," I say as he chuckles.

"She knows nothing of that sort...all she knows is a cage...all she knows is hatred...my rage," he says as I look at him

"Why are you telling me this?" I ask him

"That statue thing...its a marvellously evil power," he says

"What it is?" I ask

"A device that can end the world as you know it," he tells me. It takes me awhile to come up with my next question.

"Why haven't they used it yet?" I ask him

"Because it requires the chakra from the tailed beasts...we were made from it...so it wants us back to become whole again," he says as I raise a brow

"So you were made from it?" I ask as he nods

"Yes...long long ago," he says

"And why are you telling me this now? Aren't Tailed beast evil? You admitted yourself that you've corrupted Cassy with your anger," I tell him as he is silent for a moment.

"You see, if they get ahold of me...then I have failed the task that my masters have given to me...their work will be in vain...I do not wish that," he says.

"how does you telling me affect this?" I ask him

"You have some interesting eyes my boy. You have a sort of calming presence over us tailed beasts...much like the sage did," he says

"Sage who?" I ask as he ignores my question

"We can support our Jinchuriki's. If we act as one unit, we can become even more powerful then I could be if I was unsealed...if I wish to stay alive, then I must connect with Cassy," he says

"I'm still waiting for the punch line," I mutter

"But as things stand. Cassy is...to untrusting of me. I need you to support her as well...I need her to work with me...but as you've noticed," he begins

"She's hard to work with," I finish as he nods

"Yes, and with Martha's and Conners death...I'm afraid she is starting to go down an extremely dark path...one full of unhappiness and death,"

"So...you want me to brighten her up?" I ask as he nods

"Yes, as things stand, she is not capable of handling the Bijuu power," he says

"So what do I need to do?" I ask him

"I sense Martha has already told you what to do," he says as the dark room fades.

I see the green world around us once again...and I'm not blind this time.

"I said leave me alone!" Cassy yells as she rips my hand off her shoulder.

For a mere second, I saw her face full of tears. Her eyes looked tired. Her face looked scared.

"Your gonna be fine," I say the words. I don't know why I said them, they just came naturally to me.

Her eyes fixed on mine. Whatever I said, struck something deep inside her.

"You're not gonna be alone again...I'll stick by you, bad habits and all," I say trying to get her to laugh. It didn't make her laugh. But she stood up.

"Over there?" She asks me pointing to where I buried Martha and Conner.

"Yeah...they are over there," I say as she slowly walks over.

She kneels in front of the graves.

Much to my surprise, she doesn't speak inside her head...she speaks whatever she is thinking out loud.

"Martha...Conner," she begins

"I know I was a pain....I was a burden...I complicated things," she says as her voice cracks with emotion.

"I know I'm angry all the time...I know I'm a monster. But...even then," she says crying

"Even then, you two accepted me...you didn't judge me off what I am...you treated me like a human being...not a monster...and because of me...because I insisted we leave the village...your both dead...its my fault," she says sobbing.

"Thank you for your kindness...thank you for the happiness you have given me...thank you for providing me with our time in bliss...thank you Conner for teaching me how a child is supposed to act. Thank you Martha for teaching me how to be a girl. Thank you both for the experiences you have given me that I never would have known before...thank you...thank you, so much," she cries.

I was speechless. Under the cold shell that she had placed up was an innocent person. Someone who had their life changed by no choice of their own, and no opportunity to change it. Someone hardened from being hated, and having hatred inside, both of which were not her own.

"Ill miss both of you. Our time was short...but these recent memories will be cherished forever...you'll never be forgotten," she says as silence falls upon us.

After a minute or two, Cassy stands up and looks at me. There's evidence of many tears on her face...but currently her face is determined.

"Martha asked you to show me the world right?" She asks as I become surprised.

"You knew?" I asked and she nodded.

"I've heard her talk to herself about it, and that she would ask you at some point," she says.

"Yes, she asked me," I tell her

"I'd like to fulfil her wish," she says.

"I think she would like that,"
