Most people know that Adam has been a tragic character since the start of a whole fanfic he was used in.  However, due to me wanting to make my character's have their own story I've revised Adam's story nearly twenty times in the span of nearly five years.  Yeah . . . He's had a lot of improvements.

          This is a moment where Adam has to make a choice that either hurts his friends and family or kills him.  The choice is provided by the Devil himself, Jaden, since he likes to makes Adam's life hell (I'm a terrible person).  Of course, Adam being Adam, he doesn't want anyone he loves to be hurt so he instead gives up his heart and lets the darkness consume him.  Jaden thinks he can control Adam, but Adam uses the darkness to his advantage.  There was a hefty price to pay, however . . . Adam would be in a comatose state for nearly five months, but that time gave him the time he needed to think about why he had made that choice.  He originally did it because he couldn't hurt his friends and family, but he began to realize it was more than that.  He realized he was meant to be a guardian to people, being and angel and all that jazz.  So, while his heart is trapped in darkness, he finds the strength to live and fight with only his soul.

All that talk of Adam being heartless makes me think of the Heartless from KH.

And all that talk about darkness should've attracted Ansem, since he's obsessed with it.
