we can be a horrible society

of labels and groups

we put people in categories

like so many favours of soups

we sort by color 

and religion of course

and social standing

marriage and divorce

language is another

age can be so cruel

intelligence or lack of

sensible or a fool

the cool kids

the geeks

the jocks

the freaks

the disabled

the junkies

the bullies

the flunkies

our idols

our stars

fame and fortune

fast cars

the rich

the poor

the healthy

those at death's doors

i find it best

to judge each on their own

don't categorize

let each stand alone
