Once the train finally made it to Penn Station we were met with a slew of people in Hazmat suits and gas masks. Through muffled orders our temperatures were taken, our documents registered and our New York City destinations written down. We were told not to leave Manhattan as it is under quarantine. Next we were put into two lines where we were forced to stand six feet apart.  Those deemed healthy were led to a secret back exit onto 8th Ave and 36th street. They handed each of us a black facemask and we were warned to wear them in public and not to be out of our apartments unless it was absolutely essential.

When Amy tried to ask the officer what "absolutely essential" meant. He mocked her. "A doctor's visit, essential. Getting your nails done--not."

I'm not sure where they took those with fevers. I noticed if one person in a family had a fever they put the entire group into the "unhealthy line." This concerned me.

Once Amy and I got our barings we headed downtown to 24th Street. I wanted to "poof" us outta there while Amy wanted to "prefer" her way through the entire mess. However, we agreed on one thing: find our other sisters first.
