Look at the beautiful Roe fan art made by lothcatwillow. Thanks again fam. ^^^

Ok now onto the chapter....

Hera couldn't help, but smile when she stepped foot back in the Ghost. It has been so long. Sabine walked in behind her.

Roe was chilling in the lounge, Cane, Jessica, Mouse (with much protest) and Circuits went back to the main Rebellion base to inform the others what had happened. Roe was looking though her data pad seeing if she could locate Chopper.

"Feels good to be back." Hera said and smiled.

"It does." Sabine answered.

"Hey, are you going to look for Ezra and Eights?" Hera asked the mando.

"No, he'll be back, he promised."

Eights landed the ship at one of the millions of hangers on Coruscant. "This planet is huge." He said astonished.

"It is "

"Look at all the sky scrapers." Eights looked out the windows.

Ezra shook his head, not wanting to correct him.

"What are we going to do now?" Eights asked him, grabbing one of the bags and filling it with the rations found in the ship.

"Well I'm going to rent an apartment."

"Why?"

"I just need time to find myself again."

"Where are you going to get money? I do not have enough for Coruscant prices."

"I'm just hoping I remembered the Empire's account information."

"You are going to steal from the Empire?"

"In other news the sky is blue."

"But you could be traced and I doubt we'll get along far before someone recognized us."

"Then put on this." He threw Eights an old tattered brown cloak.

"Ok. Where did you get this?" He asked and put it on as Ezra put on a black cloak.

"Found it in the cell bay."

"Was anyone wearing it?"

"No."

"Good my conscious won't be able to take wearing a dead man's cloak."

"Did you just assume that I would kill him?"

"Yep."

Ezra shook his head and walked off the ship.

"Wait up for me." Eights scrambled to finish putting on his cloak and an after Ezra.

"Want me to run a diagnostic on the ship, Hera?" Roe asked as Hera and Sabine came back into the lounge.

"That'll be great, Roe. Let's see how my baby held up." Hera answered.

Roe got up and ran down the hallway to do the test.

"I'm going to check the bunks." Sabine said to Hera.

"Ok just you can't go in my bunk."

"I forgot to tell you I let Circuits and Jessica use your bunk."

"What?!" Hera asked, astonished.

Sabine ran off to go check her bunk, leaving Hera fuming.

Everything was as she left it, no one had went though the ship since last she checked. Her painting still filling the room with color. She sadly smiled at the mural she had painted so long ago of the Ghost crew. We all look so happy, I'm glad I could capture it. She picked up her blasters from her desk and refitted them into her holsters.

Let's go check Eight's/Ezra's room. (Sabine had given Eights Ezra's room to use while he was on the Ghost, since the two knew each other so well she figured he wouldn't mind if he got back.)

It still had the musty Zeb smell lingering just a tad. Everything looked in place, so she left as soon as she entered.

Now onto "Kanan's" room. (Before they knew Sebrin was an imposter they had her use his room)

It was bare and desolate, empty of all life and feeling. Well that hasn't changed. Kanan's death hadn't really sunk in with the mando until now. She had already cried for Zeb and grieved the lasat, but not for Kanan. He really did die. He really is gone. (Ezra had told her before blinding himself that the Kanan in the room with them wasn't him, that Kanan had died, but she didn't believe it then, she believed it now though. There was no sign of Kanan anywhere on the base, when they looked  and when she asked Ezra, he had told her the truth of what really went down. What happened with Ani and what had happened to Bariss. She didn't want to believe it, but Ezra had no reason to lie then. ) She held in tears and sat down on the bottom bunk. "How can there be this much pain in my one life?" She asked the galaxy? The universe? The force? She didn't know. "Ezra, my brother, my mother, my father, Kanan, Zeb, Hera." Silent tears ran down her face. "You were like a father to me Kanan. You taught me so many things about this crazy life. You taught me how to fight, how to let go, how to trust myself, how to make peace and a million other things I couldn't ever repay you." She sat and pondered for a moment, grieving for Kanan. "What do I have to look forward to if all this pain was in my past?" She mumbled to her herself.

"There is always the future to look forward too." Sabine jumped, jolted out of thought and looked up at Roe who was standing in the doorway. "Oh did I startle you? I'm so sorry."

"It's ok." Sabine wiped her tears on the back of her sleeve.

"I just finished the diagnostic and was walking by, and since Hera's in her room trying to reorganize everything, I thought-"

"It really is ok, Roe."

"Phew. I was scared you might me angry with me."

"I'm not."

"Thanks. Can I sit?"

"Sure."

"Can I ask you something?"

"You already did."

"Where do you see yourself in five years?"

"That's a deep question."

"You don't have to answer if you don't want to." Roe adjusted her googles.

"Well I hope to see myself married and maybe with a baby on the way."

Roe didn't have to ask about who she was taking about. "See you have that to look forward to a family of your own."

"I guess I do." Roe didn't know, but that cheered her up a lot.

"How about you?" Sabine asked her back.

"Well what I really want to do is go to Coruscant and get schooling for engineering."

"That's really cool, but definitely not an imperial academy?"

"Definitely not. There is this private program they have there it's a little expensive so I don't know if it will work out."

"I'll help you find a way." Sabine smiled at her.

"You don't have to do that."

"Yes I do, your my friend and friends help friends."
