-human/creature relationships are kinda a hot topic in the nfh world. theres a lot of stereotypes regarding the creatures, and the most socially acceptable creature to marry or bang is a fae, bc theyre "pretty much human"

-racism isnt a problem with humans bc it's more like "ok youre brown and im white but at least you're human, unlike that gross demon over there smh"

-magic isnt normally used to fight. most of the time it's used for mundane assistance or for jobs like cooking. mercenaries arent that common (nfh just happens to be about mercenaries)

-unlike our world, "mercenary" doesnt have negative implications. theyre kinda like a less organized, regulated secondary police force. consider if the government started hiring vigilantes. as long as youre legally able to shoot someone with a fireball, youre good

-teleportion is regulated like driving. kids go and get "teleportion licenses," barring the occasional emergency instance. cars and vehicles are used mostly for luxury or transport of goods.

-schools have both creatures and humans and must accommodate for all of them.

-everyone has the tendency to be xenophobic. humans piss and whine abt creatures and creatures piss and whine abt humans

-earth is the melting pot of the world. its composed of a good population of pretty much every creature in existence. earth is rather technologically advanced, so many creatures go there for a better life

-fighters pretty much fall into three categories:

  -combat mages: ppl who only fight with spells (victor, infinity, esper, seraph). theyre typically frail or chubby since physical condition isnt a necessity

  -aided by magic: these people usually cant use high power or elemental magic. they rely on 'weak' magic like summoning magic and use their actual combat skills. they usually summon weapons or armor. (aunora, umbra, hawkins) also, i hate myself bc i havent made a character that summons a rifle.

  -purely physical fighters: these people are first and foremost physical fighters. they use man-made weapons and their own wits. magic is either a back-up plan or an afterthought. theyre probably not trained in spells (matthew, ebone)

-interspecies children cant happen

-pansexual, in this verse, refers to a person whos also attracted to creatures like genderless spirits and hermaphrodite demons, and other sexually ambiguous creatures

-some spirits aren't aromantic, but they will not date other spirits, cause theyre all cousins. scoring a spirit is an achievement to many people.
