Soon the dreaded day arrived, Hoseok leaving and Jimin starting school Monday morning. First day of school. First day of senior year to be exact, and he had to face it alone. He didn't even know if Taehyung would want to still be friends after what happened between him and Hoseok.

Jimin walked into school, making his way to his locker when he spotted Taehyung. Their eyes met and Jimin felt himself smile. How could he not?

Taehyung smiled back and gave a small wave, which Jimin returned.

Just as he turned away from Taehyung he ran straight into someone.

"Hey, watch it" The guy snapped.

Jimin groaned when he realized he'd run into Yugyeom. Kim Yugyeom, his once best friend

"Oh, it's you" Yugyeom sneered at Jimin. It was hard to think that he had once been friends with the jock. Eighth grade year Yugyeom got popular and Jimin did not, ever since they'd barely tolerated each other.

Jimin only rolled his eyes in response.

"I see you still have that stupid boots" Yugyeom chuckled

"It's better than wearing a cowboy boots" A voice quipped from beside Jimin. BamBam. Jimin's best friend.

Before Yugyeom had the chance to respond a dark haired man wrapped his arms around Yugyeom and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek "Hey, babe" Jungkook smiled.

Yep, you guessed it, Jungkook from seventh grade and one of Jimin love letter recipients. The two had been forced to kiss during a game of 'spin the bottle'. Everyone knew Yugyeom wanted to kiss Jungkook. So, when Jimin spun and the bottle landed on Jungkook, Yugyeom was horrified. Jimin offered to spin again, but rules were rules, so Yugyeom was even more horrified when Jimin actually kissed Jungkook.

"Hey, Kook, I was just telling Jimin here he needed to retire that military boots" Yugyeom sneered at Jimin once again.

Before Jungkook could respond Yugyeom was pulling away, "Come on, I see actual important people to talk to."

"He's trying a new diet, I think he's just a little moody right now" Jungkook said in an apologetic tone. He'd always been the nice guy type, which begged the question, how did he end up with Yugyeom?

"Are you sure it's not just his personality" Jimin snarked in response.

Jungkook gave a slight frown, before going to catch up with Yugyeom.

Jimin had managed to avoid dealing with Yugyeom for the rest of the day. Taehyung, however was a different story. At lunch BamBam had decided he wanted subway instead of whatever they were serving in the cafeteria, so he was not going to be joining Jimin.

Jimin made his way towards the bleachers where he usually ate lunch with Taehyung and Hoseok.

When Jimin approached however, Taehyung was sitting alone.

"Is this seat taken?" Jimin asked cautiously.

Taehyung looked up and gave him a box smile, "Yeah."

Jimin raised a curious brow.

"By you I mean," Taehyung gestured to the empty spot next to him.

Jimin sat down on the cool metal next to his best friend. Immediately the air grew thick.

"I have to ask, did you know? Like did he tell you he was gonna do it? I mean you guys tell each other everything so..." Taehyung trailed off.

Jimin felt bad for his best friend. Shaking his head he said, "he didn't tell me this."

Taehyung nodded and dropped the topic.

"Are we still cool though? Like can we still...kick it?" Taehyung asked next.

Jimin laughed, "Only if you promise never to say, 'kick it' again."

Taehyung smiled widely at Jimin. It was a smile that Jimin had grown to love

Jimin held out a bag of carrots silently towards Taehyung. Taehyung took one before handing Jimin one of the earbuds to his Ipod, scooting in closer so they could share. Jimin scooted over too and smiled a bit to himself. At least he still had Taehyung.

Later

"Hey, sorry, I got held up," Sungwon smiled at Jimin.

"No, I totally get it,"

Jimin started his car and pulled out of the spot. A few meters across the parking lot is about as far as they made it before the car stalled out causing someone to slam on the breaks behind him.

"Damn it," Jimin swore just as a knock on Jimin's window sounded.

It was Jungkook.

Jimin sighed, opening his window, "Hey," Jimin said staring straight ahead.

"You know people usually check behind them when they reverse.." Jungkook states to which Jimin hums "...to avoid killing others.."

Sungwon snickered next to him earning a glare from Jimin.

"Do you need help?"

"No NO.. we are fine"

"Okay" Jungkook patted Jimin's door, before stepping away.

Sungwon snickered again as Jimin rolled up his window.

"Shut up, Sungwon" Jimin growled.

"Who was that?" Sungwon asked still laughing.

" Jeon Jungkook" Jimin sighs
