"Because I hate you!"

I raised the gun.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't pull the trigger!"

"Because you'll ruin your life!"

But that was the reason. That was why I had to go back twenty years and shoot myself! To stop lives being ruined and lost and... everything!

The bang wasn't as loud as I expected.

Do you believe in paradoxes? If you could go back in time and kill your grandfather, or even yourself, would it mean that you then couldn't go back and kill them so cause the universe to implode? Or would it just happen like that? Let me know your thoughts.

The image above is from the movie Predestination, starring Ethan Hawke (who sounds like he should be in a Mission Impossible film). It's a great film and is based on one of my favourite science fiction stories from when I was younger and devoured sci-fi - All You Zombies by Robert A. Heinlein.
