Marinette sat at the waiting room, staring at space as Alya continued comforting her. "Girl, they'll be okay." She said and Marinette nodded, she had to believe. Adrien will get through this, they still have to get married.
"I know." Marinette replied. "I'm just worried."
Alya rubbed her hand on her best friend's back before she herself received a text message from her phone. "Marinette," She said softly after reading her message. "I'm sorry girl, I have to go, something is up at home..." She trailed off, she didn't want to leave her alone especially in this situation.
"Alya, it's okay." Marinette smiled at her reassuringly. "Go."
Alya nodded before standing up, leaving Marinette alone. The doctor came out a few minutes later. "Miss Dupain-Cheng."
"Yes?" Marinette stood up, looking at the doctor with hope. "Are they okay?"
"Gabriel is in stable condition now." The doctor stated formally, but she looked downcast. "His son...however..."
"What...what about his son?" Marinette replied worriedly. "He has to be okay, he's okay right?"
The doctor sighed. "he protected his father and the impact was too strong, he's still holding on...however, the chances of him surviving..."
"Doc, please." Marinette pleaded. "You have to save him, please!"
"We're doing everything we can in our power, Miss Cheng." The doctor replied, but I'm warning you...to be ready...just in case-"
"No," Marinette shook her head. "You'll do everything he can to save him. You're a doctor!" She snapped.
"I'm just a doctor, Miss Cheng...not God."
She sighed. "I'm sorry...I just..."
The doctor noticed the ring on Marinette's finger, and she looked at her in sympathy. "We'll really do our best."
Marinette nodded. "C...can I see him?"
The doctor nodded before leaving, and Marinette slowly entered the room. Gasping at the sight in front of her.
Adrien looked so broken.
His blonde hair was stained with his blood, there were cuts in his face, his arms and legs were broken...Marinette cupped her mouth with her hand as she choked a sob. She walked closer to him. "Adrien..." Her voice broke. "What...how did this happened?" She asked, even though Adrien wouldn't be able to answer her. She sobbed, and took his hand that was resting on the side of the bed. "You have to fight this, you hear me?" She said, her hands squeezing his. "You have to wake up, because we're still getting married, all right? Someone has to help me with the preparations...and we still have to say our vows...and then we'll still have two...no, three children, and a dog..." She sniffed. "Or a cat...or well, I love hamsters." The only answer she got were the steady beeping of the machine that was the only thing supporting Adrien's life at the moment. "Adrien please..." She begged. "You can't leave me now." She found a chair on the corner of the room, so she decided to drag it closer to Adrien's bed. She sat there, and held his hand again. "I'll be here, all right?" She smiled through her tears. "And I'll wait for you to wake up."

[Felix's POV]
I paced back and forth outside the delivery room, hearing Chloe's muffled screams, I bit my lip, glancing at the window and saw her with the doctor and nurses helping her through her delivery. I exhaled sharply before sitting down again, running my hands through my hair. Ten minutes later, the doctor came out. "Sir, you may see them now."
I immediately stood up and run passed her, and then my heart melted at the sight of Chloe holding my son as the nurses cleaned him up.
She looked at me teary-eyed. "It's a boy."
I slowly walked towards them. I glanced at Chloe, and then at the baby. "He's..." I didn't understand what I was feeling when he wrapped his little hands on my finger. "He's amazing." I felt tears rolling down my cheek as she handed me the baby.
I held him in my arms. "Hello little guy." I chuckled as he made a contented sound against my chest. I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket, so I gave my son back to Chloe. I glanced at the unfamiliar number before answering. "Yes, hello?"
"Mr. Felix Agreste?" An unfamiliar woman asked.
"Yeah, that's me?"
"I'm sorry, I'm from the Hospital, I've been trying to call you for an hour now, but you weren't answering." She replied. "But your brother and your father got into a car accident...your father is in stable condition now but your brother..."
My chest tightened. "What happened to my brother?"

[Marinette's POV]
"Marinette?" Hi voice echoed and I jumped awake, I rubbed my eyes to adjust my sight and looked around, only to get confused when everything around me was white. "Marinette."
Adrien appears in front of me, looking brighter than normal. "Adrien? What...what's happening?"
He suddenly gripped my shoulders, his green eyes staring at me intently. "I'm sorry if I'm going to leave you for now...I really am, I tried to fight, but I couldn't...what I was fighting against is something I, or anyone else doesn't have control."
I blinked confusingly. "What do you mean? Y-you're here."
"I won't be long, but please...please promise me you'll be happy. You have to be happy even without me."
My eyes widened in shock, remembering everything that happened...and this...this must be a dream. And in the waking life...Adrien is dying. "No, no." I shook my head, and I gripped his arms like my life depended on it...because it did. "You can't leave me. Not now, please."
"I'm really sorry, Marinette."
"No!" I snapped. "I spent my entire life hating you, and now I finally realized that you're the one I want to spend my life with...you're going to leave?"
Adrien sighed. "I have no choice...it's my time."
Tears started running down my face as I looked at him, he looked so tired, he must've fought for too long. "We didn't even have enough time." My voice cracked. "It's not fair."
"I know." He replied and runs his hands through my hair, sending chills down my spine. "I know it isn't...but we have to accept it. Marienette, you have to let me go." I closed my eyes and sniffed as I felt him wrapping me in a hug. "I love you."
My legs suddenly felt weak, and then I clutched to him. "Just take me with you."
"I can't...it's not your time yet, you have your future ahead of you."
"I don't want a future without you."
He pulled away and smiled. "It's okay, Marinette. I may not be around, but I'll keep watching over you...please...let me go now."
"I can't."
"You have to."
"Adrien, I love--"
My eyes shot open when I heard the machines beeping loudly, the doctors immediately entered and I felt a pair of strong arms pulling me away from the room. "Marinette we gotta go." Felix says as we stepped out of the room.
"No, no, ADRIEN!"
"Marinette, please!" Felix begs as I struggled to get away from his grasp.
"I can't!" I yelled. "I can't let him go!" My entire body suddenly went numb and I end up sitting on the hospital floor, Felix sitting down with me. The machine went from wild beeping to a steady, deafening sound, the nurses shook their heads and looked at each other sadly as the doctor glanced at her watch.
"Time of death; 5:17PM."
Adrien...
My Adrien...
He's gone.

Three days later, Adrien's body was cremated and the whole Paris mourns. Gabriel locked himself on his room once again, but eventually Felix managed to let him out. "Father...Adrien wouldn't want this for you." He said softly and Gabriel sighed as he looked at the window.
"It should've been me. I've lived long enough, and he only had half of his life." He replied gloomily. "It's not fair."
"I know." Felix sat beside his father. "What happened was totally surprising and heartbreaking, but...we have to continue living somehow, father. For him."
Gabriel took a sharp breath. "For him...and her."
Felix smiled sadly, immediately knowing what his father meant, he glanced at their very old family portrait. Where it was the four of them together. He nodded. "For them."
Dinner was quiet, but it was gloomy either, Felix invited the Bourgoies family dinner. "So," Gabriel was first to break the silence...the first first said after Andre and Audrey bid their condolences when they arrived. "Have you two made a decision on what my grandson's name is?"
Chloe and Felix glanced at each other, smiling at him with mixed emotions, sadness, nostalgia, but also excitement for the new member of their family. "After what happened," Chloe started. "Felix and I made a decision...his name is..."
Felix squeezed her hand as he decided to continue for her. "His name is Adrien."
For the first time once again, Gabriel smiled...and a single tear rolled down his face.
