[Adrien's POV]
I'm literally frozen on my spot, hearing my father's footsteps as he left my room and closed the door behind him, I blinked several times and shook my head, asking nobody if I was dreaming.
I even slapped myself.
No, I wasn't dreaming.
Oh, I probably died in my sleep and this is heaven.
"Hoy!" I jumped surprisingly when Felix's voice shouted behind me. "When did your room turned into a fridge that you got frozen."
"He just..." I stammered. "He..."
"Huh?"
"Dad."
Worry flashed in his face, but at the same time he was on rage. "What did dad do to you? That's it. I've had enough of him treating us like shi--"
"Felix, no." I stopped him. "He apologized to me."
"Adrien, I'm just going to give him a piece of my mind on why he's--" He paused and looked at me shockingly. "He did what?"
"Since when did you came back?" I crossed my arms. "You didn't even called."
He shrugged. "My phone died during the trip jeesh, but seriously dude...DAD APOLOGIZED TO YOU?" He thought for a second. "For what again?"
Flashback
"Adrien." His cold voice echoed and I froze on where I was sitting on, accidentally dropping my pen that I used in signing some papers.
I coughed before standing up, meeting his cold gaze. "What?" I snapped as he approached me. I didn't noticed that I was standing in a fighting stance, judging the way he looked at me, I thought he gonna hit me.
Surprisingly, I was wrapped around his arms, and instead of feeling cold, I felt warm. I heard him sniff once. "I'm sorry, Adrien."
My mouth hang open, words long forgotten as he released me from his hug, I blinked twice as he smiled sadly at me before turning his back and leaving.
Present
"Wow." Felix fell to the couch. "I just went on a business trip and now dad apologized to you, that's....wow."
"What's gotten into him all of a sudden?" I asked and sat beside him. "You think mom's ghost haunt him for being rude?"
Felix snorted. "It's even funnier coming from you."
"What are we suppose to do now?" I furrowed my eyebrows confusingly.
Felix shrugged. "Talk to him?" He stood up and grabbed my arms. "Come on!"
"Wait, Felix--!"

[Felix's POV]
Finally!
It's about time Dad finally stopped treating Adrien like it was his fault that mom died. It's funny, they thought they were protecting me from the truth about mom's death, but the truth is, I know everything.
I remembered.
That day, the moment Adrien and I asked for pizza, the moment a car hit us, the moment where Adrien tried to protect me but he couldn't. I mean, yeah, at first I couldn't really remembered what happened, until one night...
Flashback, a month after the accident
I was on my way to my room after Adrien and I had our dinner, but I passed Dad's room, I heard him arguing with his assistant; Natalie.
"Sir, don't you think that Felix deserves to know about the truth of what really happened on that day?"
"No!" Father yelled, making me flinch. "He does not have to know, he doesn't remember, and if anyone, I mean anyone speaks to him about the accident, he might even have a breakdown! He can't handle the truth."
"What is he talking about?" I asked no one before deciding to listen closely.
"He can't handle the truth, Natalie." Father continue. "The doctor said that there might be a chance of him regaining his memories, but I can't..." He trailed off and sighed. "He doesn't have to remember what happened. And anyway, who are you to speak that to me? You're just an employee. Leave me be!"
Natalie took a step back before bowing politely, I gasped a bit and decided to hide on the corner as Natalie exited Father's room. "Accident?" I asked, my vision suddenly blurring a bit. "What?" I groaned, suddenly it felt like a thousand needles were being pinned to my head, I ran to my room and closed the door, running to my bed and lying down on it, groaning in pain. "Stop." I begged, as the memories flashed at the back of my mind.
The memories I lost that I wished I never remembered.
Present
"I actually talked to Marinette Dupain-Cheng." I heard Father said as we sat on our giant dining table, eating supper together...FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FIVE CENTURIES. "Why didn't we hire her as a fashion designer again?"
I snorted. "Beats me, a year or two ago you were the one interviewing the applicants."
Father's eyes widened as Adrien suddenly burst out laughing. "No!" Father yelled. "I didn't?" He asked as Adrien's laugh got louder, I couldn't help myself but laugh with him, it's been a very long time since someone actually laughed at this house. It's starting to get brighter again.
"You--" Adrien couldn't make his words out while laughing. "I can't even right now!"
"Miss Dupain-Cheng doesn't hold grudges, does she?" Father asked worriedly.
I grinned. "Now I understand why she broke a photocopy machine."
"She did what?"
Adrien's eyes widened. "No worries, Father! We fixed it!"
"That's probably why she said 'no' to you." Father said to Adrien seriously and the room fell silent for seconds.
Before I burst out laughing even though there's nothing funny.

The next morning...
Thirty days after the masquerade.
[Marinette's POV]
Good things have continued to happen, and surprisingly, I'm even more motivated to go to work today. But then again, MR. GABRIEL AGRESTE himself just freaking told me to SAY YES TO HIS SON.
THIS IS INSANE!
"You okay, Marinette?" Alix asked, her arms crossed and a grin plastered on her face. "You've been standing frozen on that spot for ten minutes, you sure you don't want us to call an ambulance?"
Rose suddenly appeared behind her. "What did Mr. Big Boss told you yesterday? Did he spoke about a salary increase?"
I blinked. "No."
"What did he said then?" Rose's blue eyes twinkled with curiosity.
Nathanael suddenly gasped. "You didn't got fired...did you?"
"Dumbnut, if she got fired, she wouldn't be here." Alix rolled her eyes but then she also suddenly gasped. "Wait, if you didn't speak, I wouldn't remember what I saw yesterday!"
I tilted my head. "What did you saw yesterday?"
"Him!" Alix pointed Nathanael who suddenly blushed. "In a coffee shop with someone!" Yes Alix, change the topic and divert it to Nathanael and not me, yes, thank you! "Who was that green-eyed cutie, hmm?"
"N-no one." Nathanael defended. "We're just f-friends who hanged out and had coffee, why would you m-mind?"
"Uh-huh, cause you sound so defensive." Mylene stated, her head poking out of her office cubicle. "I'm curious."
Alix grinned. "Oh really? Well, I dunno, if you're really 'friends', you won't be holding each other's hands, eh?"
Everyone in the office gasped in shock, including me who had my hands covering my mouth. I can't believe it...Nathanael is...
"I'M DATING A GUY, ALL RIGHT?" Nathanael blurted out. "So what? He's a nice person, he's a gentleman, and he cares for me more than anyone else did!"
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaw, that's so sweet!" Rose squealed and twirled around with one foot on the ground. "I'm happy for you Nath, you're finally off the single-squad! Bye-bye!"
Nathanael looked at each one of us in shock. "Wait, you're not...no harsh, homophobic comments? No 'gay is wrong' thing? No 'Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve'?"
We all laughed. "Dude," Max wrapped an arm around Nathanael's shoulder. "Look man, I'm 100% hetero but I don't mind if girls date girls and guys dates guys. So what? We're in a free country."
"Exactly." Kim snapped his fingers. "But then, I won't hesitate on bringing that guy down if he hurts my tomato head."
"Our tomato head." Alix corrected.
"So, tell me Nathy, who's the lucky guy?" Ivan asked coolly.
Nathanael blushed a bit. "His name is Marc Anciel."
I gasped. "Marc Anciel?"
"You know him?" Nathanael asked and light up a bit.
"No." I chuckled. "Not personally, but I do follow his blogs, he's a really good online writer, I even commented on one his posts suggesting he should write a book."
"Actually, he planning on making one." Nathanael replied and winked.
"Yo, the minute he publishes that, we'd want the first copies! With his signature!" Alix demanded. "Got it?"
Nathanael chuckled. "Yeah, yeah, whatever, thanks for being supportive, guys."
"GROUP HUG!" Rose squeaked before we all wrapped each other in our arms, mine landed at the backs of Nathanael and Rose as we struggled to get closer, but suddenly, we were interrupted when someone coughed behind us.
"May I know what's going on that I wasn't included?" Judging the v-neck shirt, it was definitely Felix.
"Felix, mah man!" Kim exclaimed excitedly. "You're back!"
"Nah, I'm just a hologram." Felix deadpanned before he burst out laughing. "Come here mah man!" He said before wrapping Kim in a bone crushing hug.
"I stan gay ships!" Alix exclaimed as she stood up on her chair and fist bump in the air.
"Shut up, Alix, I am your master." Felix retorted as he lets go of Kim to hug Alix. "You're still so small!"
"You're still retarded." Alix's comebacks, I swear. How the heck is she able to say them without her getting hit in the head? I mean, she doesn't even sound offensive-? "When did you came back?"
"Yesterday evening." Felix shrugged before he finally looked at me. My eyes widened in shock as he smiled at me widely. "Anyway, I got a meeting to attend to. Mari, cold-hearted boss wants to see you."
"S-see me?" I stammered.
He nodded. "Yeah, he's on his way, he said for you to wait at his office."
***
It was fifteen minutes later when Adrien arrived, but I couldn't help but notice that he was wearing black tuxedo and green tie...that matched his eyes. I didn't know what he was going to say to me, but whatever it is, I'm ready.
"Sorry for making you wait." He said and I tilted my head confusingly. Adrien Agreste never apologizes to any of his employees...EVER. "I know this is all of a sudden but--"
"Why am I here?" I suddenly asked, but then I feel like I wanted to hit myself, I'm pretty sure he was about to say the reason.
"I..." He trailed off, before sitting beside me on the couch. "It's been thirty days, Marinette, and I know you told me to wait but, do I really have a chance? Do your parents hate me? Do you really love me or-? Should I just move on--"
"Adrien." I grabbed his hand and smiled at him. "I thought about it the whole night, especially after your father talked to me...I never expected him to be okay with it because, I'm just a baker's daughter dreaming of becoming a fashion designer, you know?"
"Whether he's okay or not okay, his opinion doesn't matter." He replied. "I love you, Marinette and that's what's important."
"He's your father, Adrien of course his opinion matters." I sighed. "But, after his encouragement, I..."
"His what?" Adrien tilted his head.
My eyes widened in shocked, but then again, it's probably time, I honestly didn't want him to wait any longer, and nothing is stopping me now anyway. "You father told me to say yes to you so..."
He blinked. "What?"
I giggled. "If you'll still have me though."
"Oh my God." He suddenly stood up, looking at me in shock. "Are you...are we?" I nodded and then all of a sudden he lifted me off the ground and spun me around, wrapping me in a hug. "Marinette, I'm so happy."
I hugged him back. "Me too, Adrien." And then he gently put me down, his arms still wrapped around my waist and mine on his shoulders. "I love you too." I replied, and then he leaned closer, I blinked and my eyes fell into his soft, pink lips, my eyes slowly closed, ready for our lips to lock.
"FELIIIIIIIIIIX!"
What the heck.
My eyes opened only to see Adrien looking at the door confusingly. "Chloe's here?"
"We should check it out." I released him from my grasp and took a step back, he nodded and opened the door, revealing Miss Chloe.
"Where's your twin?" She asked sternly and then I glanced at Adrien who raised an eyebrow.
"He went on a meeting." Adrien replied. "Why? What's going on?"
Chloe rolled his eyes and sighed. "I tried to denied and hide it, but after experiencing all the symptoms possible, I did a test and confirmed what I fear."
Adrien looked at her confusingly. "What do you mean?"
"For freak's sake Adrien, don't play dumb. I know you know what happened to me and Felix that day."
My eyes widened, and so did Adrien's, he blinked several times. Looking at Chloe, and then her womb, and then her again. "You're..."
"Yep. You're going to be an uncle."
