A is for Adrien Agreste...

9 months later...

"Nathalie, what's in my schedule for 5-6pm?" Gabriel asked seriously as he was scrolling through some colors that he feels would fit the bag that he was designing.

"You have a meeting at 5:30PM, sir." Nathalie replied politely as she scanned her tablet.

"Could you represent for me? I have a dinner with my son and his girlfriend."

Nathalie tilted her head confusingly. "Which...son, sir?"

"Both of them." Gabriel replied. "But Felix said Miss Bourgeois might not make it as seen that she's almost in labor."

The door suddenly opens and Adrien entered, he saw Nathalie smiling fondly at his father for whatever reason, making him smirk a bit. "Afternoon, everybody." He greeted, making Nathalie snap back into reality and coughed awkwardly.

"I--I'll get you two some coffee." Nathalie said, standing up from her table and excused herself.

Adrien watched her as she exited and scoffed a bit. "What?" Gabriel suddenly asked, noticing his son's somehow strange observation.

"I dunno, it seems like she has profound feelings for you." Adrien shrugged as he sat on the couch. "Do you like her?"

"Nathalie? Of course." Gabriel replied without hesitating, making Adrien's eyes widen in excitement. "She's a very good assistant." Adrien frowned.

"Father..." Adrien started. "Don't you think that it's about time...you open up again?"

Gabriel blinked. "What do you mean, son?"

"Don't hide it." Adrien replied. "You and Nathalie have been working together ever since me and Felix were born, I mean, I know nobody can replace mom, but at the same time, you deserve to be happy."

"Son," Gabriel started and Adrien sighed.

"All right, all right. I won't push it, jeez." He raised his hands in surrender, Nathalie came back a few minutes later with two mugs of coffee, one of the father and one for the sun.

"So, what brings you here, Adrien?" Gabriel asked, as he took the mug from where Nathalie settled it earlier.

"Well, Felix called and he's literally panicking at the moment." Adrien shrugged casually as if the news he's bringing was no big dead...even if it's the biggest deal in whole Paris.

"Why?" The old man asked and furrowed his eyebrows.

Adrien was hiding his true emotions of excitement. "Well, I could announce the news about me first but I think Felix's news is more important."

"What is it?" Gabriel asked again, not really catching up with his son.

"They rushed Chloe into the hospital because her baby is coming."

[Adrien's POV]

Four hours earlier...

I am Adrien Agreste.

So why am I fidgeting with my tie?

"Sir? Would you like to order something?" The waitress asked me and I awkwardly coughed, placing my hands on the table.

"Uhm..." I looked up to her, she has reddish-brown hair and blue eyes...well, not as blue as Marinette's but... "N-no, I already called for the special? For Agreste?"

The waitress' eyes widened in realization. "Oh! Of course, Mr. Agreste. Sorry, I didn't recognized you. Your order will be right up for ten minutes, if you don't mind."

"It's okay. I'm still waiting for her." I smiled at her and she nodded before leaving.

I sighed a bit, looking out the window while waiting for her. I sighed annoyingly, wondering what even is taking her so long. I decided to fish my phone out of my pocket to call my twin. "Yo." He answered after the second ring. "Chickening out already?"

"Shut up, she's not even here yet." I retorted. The same waitress earlier came back with a bottle of champagne. When I nodded, she started pouring on my glass. "What did you even tell her?"

"I didn't see her earlier, so I just left the note you made in her desk. She's probably on her way...just calm down, will ya?"

"I am calm."

"Really? Then why does my twinsie senses telling me that you're shaking your leg right now?"

My leg froze and my eyes widened in shock. Oh crap. I am nervous as much as I hated to admit it. But all of a sudden, as I eyed my glass of champagne, it suddenly talked to me. "Adrien?"

"Champagne?" I tilted my head confusingly, I heard Felix bursted out laughing from the other line.

"Are you okay?" It took me a second to realize that it wasn't the champagne, Marinette had arrived and used the other door where I couldn't see her enter...damn you corner restaurants with double entrances. "Don't tell me that you've been drinking too much champagne before I arrived." She said while grinning, sitting across me on the table.

"No." I managed to calm myself. "I haven't."

She shrugged but was still grinning. "Okay, Adrien."

I couldn't help but grin at her in return, the way she says my name...so angelic. "I ordered for us both, I hope it's fine."

"Of course." She replied. "So...why are we here?"

I hummed. "Can't I take my girlfriend out on a date?" It's been nine months, but I still will never get used to calling her my girlfriend. I still can't believe she's my girlfriend. How did I get so lucky?

She raised an eyebrow at me for a couple of seconds but was interrupted when our food arrived. "Leaving a poetic note on my desk instead of texting me." She shrugged and started eating. "Not that I complaining or anything. I love it." She smiled, her blue eyes gleaming in the light, making the restaurant seem brighter.

I'm going to hit Felix's head with a baseball bat later.

"So uhh..." I started, but I ended up not knowing what to say, I opened my mouth again, only to get interrupted by the waitress.

"The special, sir." She said politely, placing a small plate on the table.

"Thanks." I muttered as she left.

Marinette eyed the croissant. "Special?"

"Yeah, try it." I beamed but she frowned.

"I feel betrayed, we got lots of these at home."

I chuckled. "Just...try it."

She looked at me and the croissant and took a bite. She nodded. "It's good, but papa's croissant is still the best. No offense."

I chuckled again. "None taken."

She took another bite, but she suddenly flinched. "What was that?"

I tilted my head. "What was what?"

"I bit something metallic." Oh shit, here we go.

She inspected the pastry, but her eyes widened in shock when she took the silver ring encrusted with a blue diamond on the center. "Adrien...what..." She trailed off when I knelt in front of her.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng," I started, gathering my courage and slowly took the ring, but I offered it back to her. "I know it hasn't been too long since we got together, but with you, everything just felt right." Marinette gasped, looking at the ring, and then at me. "You didn't know this, but after my mother died when I was young, I thought the light won't shine upon me again...until that day, when you gave your umbrella to me, in that moment, I knew you were the one." I looked at the ground shyly, before finding the confidence to look at her again. "Marinette...will you marry me?"

Her hand landed on her chest, biting her lip, her eyes started watering. "Yes, Adrien. Yes!"

I sighed in relief and happiness gushed over me, I took her other hand, and inserted the ring on her finger, it looked perfect, just like her. "I thought you'd say no." I chuckled.

She giggled before wrapping me in a hug. "Idiot, why would I? And I felt it too, you know."

I hugged her back, burying my face against her shoulder. "I love you."

Her hand stroked my hair as she said. "I love you too."

The people at the restaurant started cheering, and I swore I saw camera flashes, but I was too caught up in my own happiness to care. Marinette Dupain-Cheng said yes to me...

We're getting married.

[Marinette's POV]

Present time...

"Soon to be Mrs. Agreste." Alya smirked, looking at my ring. "Congratulations girl!"

"Thank you Alya." I said and hugged her. "I didn't expect it to be sooner but...when he knelt in front of me, it seems like the puzzle just solved itself, you know? It just felt right."

"Yeah, I know girl. I know." She said as we pulled away. "Who would've thought though. You and Adrien, from mortal enemies to inseparable lovers to future husband and wife.

I shrugged. "Well, who would really know what the future brings."

My phone started beeping in my pocket, and raised an eyebrow when I didn't recognized the number. "Hello?"

"Is this Miss Marinette Dupain-Cheng?" A woman Marinette didn't recognize either asked from the other line.

"Y-yes, who is this?"

"This is from the Hospital, I found your name as his emergency contact in his phone so I called you."

Marinette looked at Alya worriedly, while her best friend got confused. "What happened?"

"Miss Dupain-Cheng. Mr. Gabriel and Mr. Adrien Agreste just got confined here, they got in a car accident, both of them are in critical condition."

"What?!"
