Nandini's POV

" Nandini we are here!! Wake up!! " Manik shouts in excitement.

I jump up and scream " Good Morning Mumbai". I get to know that we are just outside Maniks house.

" I thought you were sleeping " Manik exclaims while we both get out of the car.

" I was sleeping " I say.

" I didn't know you sleep with so much energy stored" Manik says.

Suddenly I get an uneasy feeling.

" what happened Nandu "? Manik asks with concern.

" I feel like I forgot something " I exclaim.

" Just think hard"Manik advices .

What can it be?

" Holy fish bowl with fish curry" I nearly screech.

" what" Manik asks with a concerned expression.

" I forgot to take my teddy's Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer" I say hyperventilating.

" Seriously" manik asks looking annoyed.

Maniks POV

" I am dating such a baby" I say. Soon I see Nandus smile fading and a frown appearing.

" Manik! Nandini!" I hear a surprised voice. I turn around to see Mom standing with an amazing goofy grin. Her smile suddenly fades seeing Nandu sad.

" manik why did you make my daughter cry" she asks with fake anger, while coming and hugging Nandu.

" what did I do? Not fair" I make grumpy face.

" Nandu what happened "? Mom asks.

" I forgot BOTH my teddies" Nandu says.

" don't worry Manik will buy you more teddies with his own cash" Mom says.

" we will also go shopping with Maniks cash" Nandini suggests.

" we will also go for dinner with Maniks cash" mom again suggests.

" is anyone going to ask permission from Manik" I ask in a mocking tone.

" nah" both of them say together.

"Let's also go watch a movie with Maniks cash" both of them say together making both of them erupt into giggles.

" How about buying a 4 BHK flat with Maniks cash" I ask sarcastically.

" Thats an awesome idea" both of them say entering the house.

These two ladies will make me a pauper.

Nandini's POV

As me and mom came inside the house giggling at Maniks comment, two girls jumps and engulfs me in a hug.

" Nandu" they shout.

" Alya!! Mukti!! Yaar I missed you so much " I exclaim breaking the hug.

" we also missed you" they both exclaim.

" What are you guys doing here? " I ask.

" we are just visiting " Dhruv and cabir says.

Dhruv and Cabir side hugs me.

Suddenly Manik clears his thought with a mocking expression.

" Do you know a guy called Manik Malhotra"? He asks in a mocking tone.

Fan four goes next to him and they have a group hug.

"I have no idea what they do while having a group hug" I exclaim.

" They just stare at each other till its drop dead awkward " mom says making me giggle and them break the hug.

"Don't be jealous Nandini" Cabir taunts.

" Why should I be jealous " ? I huff.

" you don't get to be a part of our group hug" cabir taunts.

" why would I be jealous. In fact, you should be jealous. Do you have any one to hug like this?" I say hugging Manik.

Maniks POV

"Do you have any to do this?" Nandini questions while giving a tight kiss on my cheeks.

For the first time I am enjoying their argument.

" tell me Cabir. Do you have one?" Nandini taunts.

" yes" cabir says.

"What"? Me and Nandu asks.

We look around to find everyone smirking at Cabir.

" Nandu" we hear a voice. We both turn around to see Navya.

"Navya!! What are you doing here. I thought you returned to US" Nandu asks in a surprised tone.

" I cancelled my plan. I decided to settle in India" Navya says looking at Cabir.

Does this mean Navya and Cabir....

" Are you guys gonna tell what the effin hell is happening " I ask with curiosity.

" I will tell you Manik " mukti says.

" Mister Cabir Dhawan is officially dating Navya Naveli" she says.

We both look at Cabir and Navy. Cabir refuses to keep eye contact and Navya is blushing profusely.

" Navya! I thought we were best friends. You didn't even tell me" Nandini complains.

" Arey Nandu!! Stop with all this drama. Poor Navya is already flustered" Alya says side hugging Navya.

" okay fine" Nandu says giving a bright smile.

" Manik, I want to see all around the house" Nandu says tugging my hand.

" Nandu why are you shy? You can just ask where is your future room. " Cabir teases.

"Okay! Manik show me our future room" Nandu says.

" This species does not blush " I reminded them as Nandu pulled me.

"Cone on" I say running up the stairs holding Nandus Bag.

I enter my room along Nandu.

" So this room will be yours when you change from my 'boyfriend' to 'husband'" I tease making her hit me.

" calm down you tigress" I calm her down.

" I feel like I am forgetting something again " Nandu says.

Nandini's POV

" Holy friend in law of cashew nuts" I shout

" you are growing weirder day by day. Now tell me what happened" manik says.

" I have to go. Chacha and Chachi will kill me if I don't " I say picking up my bags and running downstairs.

After an hour

I stand there and stare at the creepy attention seeking machine.
'THE CALLING BELL'

"Nandini staring at it doesn't make a change. You have got to press the switch" manik again repeats.

I gathered all my courage and hit the switch.

After half a minute the door open revealing my chachi .

Her initial shock changes to anger then to smile as she looks at manik at last.

"Come in Manik beta" she says.

They must know each other as we are family friends.

"Hello" I call out trying to seek attention.
Chacha who had come out joined Chachi in ignoring me.

"Would you like to have something to drink?" Chachi asked.

"No....." Maniks words get interrupted.

" I want a expresso" I say jumping up and down.

"Are you sure you don't want anything, Manik" Chachi asked.

Maniks POV

"No Chachi. I don't need anything" I say and look at Nandu who had the most cutest pout over her face.

Isn't she adorable?

"Chachi. Stop ignoring her. Please" I request with my puppy eyes.

Chachi looks at Nandu who was still pouting and it was clearly evident that she melted. She goes and hugs her tightly.

" I missed you so much Chachi and Chacha " Nandu says as Chacha also joins the hug.

They slowly break apart and Chachi asks "where were you Nandu?"

"I had informed that I was with Manik" Nandini says as everyone gets seated.

"I know my Nandu isn't mad enough to spend a month with a stranger" Chachi praises her.

Suddenly the whole room fills with silence and Chachi looks at Nandu who had a guilty expression.

"Don't tell me that you didn't even know who Manik was at the start" Chachi says.

I chuckle at Nandu's guilty face.

"I presume that there is something going on between you both" Chachi asks with a smirk.

Suddenly Nandini jumps and sits next to Chachi and says enthusiastically"You have guessed it right. You are awesome".

"You are just the same. Manik how do you handle this hyper girl" Chacha asks.

"Thank God I am talented or else I would have struggled handling her" I say praising myself.

"Oh hello. I am still here, you know that right? " Nandu says coming and hitting me.

"I didn't know that" I hear an unfamiliar voice.

Everyone looks towards the door and Nandini jump in surprise.

"A...Amms" Nandini stutters.

"I didn't know anything" Amms says.

"How dare you lie to me" she screams chasing Nandini around the house.

I watch them with an open mouth.

"Manik beta, close your mouth. This is quite normal

"So this is were Nandini got her craziness from" I say to myself.

"Oh yes." Chacha says.

Soon both Amms and Nandu were hugging each other.

"Amms this is Manik. Harsh uncle's son and my boyfriend" Nandini says pulling me next to her.

I seek her blessings and slowly Nandini again gets into another conversation with Amms.

I slowly go towards Chachi and says " I have already kept Nandus bag here. I should get going. She is really in a deep conversation with Amms. I should not pester her. Tell her to try to not kill anyone " .
Chachi chuckles at my words and I drive back home slowly.

Nandini's POV

" I missed you a lot" I say giving Amms a kiss.

"Let me go freshen up" Amms says and walks upstairs.

Suddenly the smell of Biriyani directs me to the kitchen.

"Its been so long since I ate some delicious Biriyani" I say to Chachi who chuckles at my voice.

Wait!! Where is Manik?

"Chachi!! Where is Manik"? I ask.

" he left" she says busily cooking.

"How can he leave like that. Nope, I am going to meet him" I say jogging towards Chacha car ignoring Chachi's calls.

I drive towards Maniks home in a jiffy.
I see Manik sitting on the swing with his phone.

"You monkey faced donkey with elephant ass!! How can you leave without saying to me?" I shout walking towards him.

"Nandu? What are you doing here at this time?" Manik asked with a perplexed expression.

"I am here to scuba dive" I say sarcastically.
"I thought you were here for bungee jumping" manik mocks me.

"Was that a joke"? I ask teasingly.

" yes! believe it or not" manik says.

" on a serious note, why did you leave without telling me" I ask sitting next to him.

"Boyfriend, you were having great time with Amms. So.." Manik says.

" so what? You go away without telling me. You know nah for the past 30 days, you aren't just my love but also my habit." I say looking at him.

He pulls me closer and we both cuddle.
"I'll miss you" I say.

" you are talking as if you are going to Dubai. I live just half a kilometre far from yours. We will meet daily at college too" manik says to me.

"Oh hello!! Just think, for the past few weeks, I was always with you. Does being next to you or living half a kilometre away more better" I say.

Manik remains silent as if he was deeply thinking.

" what are you thinking " I ask poking his cheeks.

"You asked me to think" Manik says trying to suppress his smile.

" seriously Manik. Day by day, your humour sense is decelerating. " I say.

"Perks of being your boyfriend" he teases.

There was a deep and meaningful silence.

"Manik!! Can you believe it, its just a month since we met. It feels like a life time." I say leaning on his shoulder.

" we made memories for a life time" Manik says and he leans towards me.

I wrap my hand around him and kisses him. It felt like my first kiss. Delicate yet meaningful.

" I love you " he says kissing my nose.

" your soon cute " I scream.

" don't call me that" manik screams and starts chasing me as I keep calling him cute. He picks up a plant pot and runs after me pretending to be ready to hit me.

"Manik put that down" mom shouts and we keep running around.

" That's my cocos lucifera" she shouts.

We both stop in our tracks and ask " your what"?

" cocos Lucifer's aka coconut tree" she says.

" who grows coconut tree in a pot" manik asks.

" you don't" she asks finally realising her mistake.

" Are you sure you are a college's trustee" manik mocks.

" stop teasing me and put the pot down" she commands and walks back inside.

Manik keeps it back and says " I guess its time to go. I will drop you " he says to which I deny.

" I will go back on my own.
