Logan Toth was very confused as to how he ended up in this situation. Which was quite the feat. Very few could get Logan even slightly confused, but for Patton Kardiá it was as simple as walking into a room.

Something unusual would take over Logan's mind, distracting him from everything but Patton. Patton and the sweet smile he did when he helped others, the stupid dad jokes he used to hate but now found endearing, the cute skirts he wore, his curly tawny hair, and his warm brown eyes which memerized and sucked him in.

If Logan believed in magical curses and spells, he would assume he had been bewitched. As he did not, he figured he probably was incredibly ill. What else could explain the blindness and bias towards Patton, and the fluttering of his stomach every time he even thought of him.

Regardless, Logan had been walking home that day with his two aquantinces, or friends he supposed, Roman and Patton. Naturally, Roman chatted the whole time and Logan attempted to bring himself into focus enough to participate in conversation.

"-and THEN he said 'Aww you think I'm hot.' As if I would think that! I HAVE STANDARDS! I DON'T JUST GO FOR ATTRACTIVE EYESHADOW WEARING FLIRTY EMOS WHO ARE TOPS! He's just a-"

"Thats not really nice kiddo," Patton says, adjusting his cheerleading outfit. "You don't know that much about him. Don't be mean."

"BUT PAT-"

"It's how he expresses love," Logan interjects. Roman goes bright red. Patton giggles.

"NOT TRUE!"

"And Patton's ugly," Logan mutters quietly. Roman raises an eyebrow and turns to him at the quiet statement.

"What was that?"

"Nothing of importance Roman. Now do go on about your...." Logan pulls out his note cards. "Crush? Yes, crush."

"IT'S NOT A CRUSH!" Roman stomps ahead only to turn back when he realizes he passed his house. "GOODBYE!" He slams his front door behind him.

"Bye Ro! See you tomorrow!" Patton cheerily waves goodbye. Then he turns to Logan.

"Are you busy after school today?"

"What?" Logan was sure he felt his heart skip a beat.

"Are you busy after school today? I was wondering if we could hang out a bit?" Patton fiddled with his fingers and Logan could have sworn he saw him blushing. But thats preposterous. Why would Patton be blushing?

"I believe I would have time to 'hang out' today. What would we do?"

"I'd liked to visit the animal shelter. If thats alright by you of course!"

"Yes, that would be alright Patton."

"YAY!" Patton cheered. Logan didn't know why but he couldn't find it in himself to say no to Patton. And so he followed Patton to the local animal shelter. In an animal shelter, Patton was like a hyperactive toddler. A very cute hyperactive toddler, but still hard to manage. "OOH LOOK AT THE KITTEN! SHE'S SO CUTEEEE! OOH AND THE PUPPY IS SO SWEET AND ADORABLE! AND AND-" Yup. Like managing a toddler.

Logan watched Patton run about, amused. He could have sworn he felt the corners of his mouth tilt upward. But that was impossible. Suddenly Patton ran at him. Logan felt a prickly feeling in his face as the curly blond stared up at him with eyes that sparkled like the Andromeda Galaxy.

"Can I Lolo? " Logan ignored the nickname. For some reason he felt oddly please by it.

"Can you what Patton?"

"Bring them home. All of them." Logan was flabergasted.

"But-"

"All. Of. Them. Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssseeeeee?" Those innocent brown eyes sparkled brightly. Logan was panicking, how could he say no to this. It was quite obivously a bad idea and if anyone else had suggested it, Logan would have shut them down right away. But with Patton.... He just couldn't. He couldn't bear the idea of his sadness. Those sweet round little cheeks with red splotches on them... WAIT! RED SPLOTCHES? A RASH!

"PATTON!"

"Lolo, what?" Parron seemed oblivous to the rash on his skin.

"Your allergies! You're allergic to cats! You have to leave now!"

"Can't I at least take one home?"

"No!" Patton sadly looked down.

"O-oh. Okay." The defleated bubbly boy walked out of the shelter, stopping briefly to inject his epipen. Logan felt a feeling of sadness rise in him. What was happening to him lately?

As Logan turned to follow Patton out, he spotted something in the fundraising section of the shelter. A cat onesie. Without think about it, he ran towards it, and immediately bought. The employee working the register smiled at him as he took the hoodie.

"Have a nice day! And you and your boyfriend are welcome back anytime." Logan didn't bother to correct them. The only thing that mattered was Patton. He ran as fast as he could, panting as he tried to catch up.

"Pat-Pat. Wait up," Logan panted, finally next to him. "I have something for you." As Patton turned around, Logan handed him the cat onesie. Suddenly Patton squealed, brightening up at the sight of the onesie. He took it and then threw his arms around Logan. Logan, who was quite unsure of how to hug, simply patted his back awkwardly.

"Thank you Lolo!"

"You're welcome Pat." They each then parted, going their seperate ways, desperately crushing on each other.
